The selection leans more toward family beach visit than surfer gear. You can get the later at a couple dedicated dive shops across the street. When I wandered through I didn't see anything I had to have but I could hear staff helping other customers in a friendly way. The prices were about what you would find elsewhere but you cannot beat the convenience of having this place just down the block from the beach.

The shirts and hats here are pricier than a touristy beach shop, but they look like they'll last for years to come and many more beach visits. If you have kids to shop for, this is a great spot, and you can find everything from shirts and hats to books written by local authors. I personally like buying Christmas ornaments when traveling, and Islands Mercantile has an impressive selection of those, too. When you walk in, almost all of the items are Kiawah themed, but as you walk to the back of the stores you see enclaves of Seabrook items. Check out the sale area for deals too.
