For the value I thought it was worthwhile especially with how easily they could fit you into the schedule. I felt a bit badly that it seemed like the woman giving the massages was also handling the front desk, but she had smooth system that worked our pretty well. When she finished with the last person showed me my room and then went back out to finish their payment. I thought the pressure and style was good for what I requested. I said I was ok with deep tissue, but I think she went a bit lighter it being my first time there. I thought it a bit odd that they didn't do any questions initially, but I also know most masseuse's can tell what your body needs so I usually leave it up to them to work on what needs to be done. Though I thought she went light on me, I had my typical response of being a bit sore the next day, but I just kept hydrating and moving. Overall I had a positive experience though it wasn't exactly what I'd expected.

I love Better Life Massage!…read more It seems like forever since the last time I had a massage, over 10 years ago. I'm pretty busted up and I've been wondering if massage might help me out. I tried out BLM first since they're the closest to my home. (Of course, I checked out Yelp reviews and the web page first.) Wow, they blew me away! I'm definitely fortunate to find such a great place so close to my house. There are many therapy options at Better Life but I've been choosing hour long deep tissue massages. I've experienced this style before. But Angel does a particularly fantastic job. She kicks my ass...in a great way. And she does it with an awesome, interesting, highly effective, Asian, Mandarin style twist! (I should have taken the hint when I saw the giant Asian medical charts hanging in the lobby!) Mandarin Style (my term) includes locating and working out all hard clumps of stiff muscle, interesting stretches, hot oil, and hot stones! I am so relaxed when I leave, I wobble down the hallway like a drunk person. The first time, they asked if I was okay and if I needed help. No kidding. I also have to drink water. And I usually have to sit in my car for several minutes to make sure I'm okay to drive home. Best of all, I had amazing results the VERY NEXT DAY. For the first time in years, I can now stand on one leg and lift the opposite foot more than 12 inches above the ground. In fact, now I can lift my knees all the way above parallel. Amazing. My cousin visited from out-of-town and I treated him to an hour long massage at Better Life. He never had a massage before in his life. But I knew he was in need. He owns an HVAC company and he has spent his whole life going up and down ladders and on his feet all day...for over 30 years. I would say, without exaggerating, the massage was a life changing experience for him. I'm not kidding. He actually canceled his chiropractic appointment and he found a massage therapist in Williston, ND (the oil fields). A few other final notes... The staff are fantastically skilled and impeccably polite. There's a small basket on the table in the lobby full of "thank you" cards that are quite touching. Finally, the prices are super reasonable, they're open 7 days a week, and the schedules are very flexible. They even do walk-ins. Thank you, SO MUCH, Better Life Massage!

I wanted to leave this place a review for people like me looking for a good last minute massage…read more I am from Los Angeles and have had a handful of massages in my life. This place is clean and simple (in a good way). They were able to accommodate my time which was 10 minutes after i called. I only saw 1 staff member while I was there and she is the one who gave me my massage. I got a 1 hr full body massage and I like light to medium pressure and that is what I got without having to ask. She did ask if the pressure was okay, which is always appreciated. When it was time for the hot stones, they were very hot in the beginning and she made sure to ask if the temperature was okay and when I told her no, she immediately removed them and let them cool down to get to a perfect temp before bringing them back into the massage. I would have rated a 5 star, however, they have a $5 off coupon on yelp for new customers which I wanted to take advantage of, but when I got there I was told they stopped that a year ago. (I suggested they remove it from the yelp site ‍). The other thing that made me not give 5 stars was during my massage, she left the room suddenly (I'm not sure if it was to help other customers or to grab something because it was just a little longer then expected and I heard her talking to customers). I just felt slightly awkward not knowing what was going on. Usually the massage therapist let's me know wheb they need to leave the room to grab something. She left the room 1 more time, but that time I'm pretty sure it was to grab something because it was rather quick. Overall this place deserves a 4.5 star rating and if I'm ever back in town I would definitely come back here again.

Wow can't believe the reviews! Maybe under new management?!…read more I was at a medical appointment and decided to look for a massage that I could have been fully closed. Usually, this is a specific type of facility and this one was exactly what I was looking for As you walk in, there are lounge chairs about 10 and then there are about five massage chairs to the other section. The cash register is in this area and then there's a closed area with I assume separate rooms for private massages. I had the 30 minute chair and 30 minute lounge Jack was my masseuse and he had very hard pressure But I had a knot in my shoulder for over a month and I just wanted relief He was very thorough and worked every night I had the chair is basically massaging your back and arms and hands and a little back of your leg but not much. I was very happy with this 30 minutes. I started getting massages from Donna because I had some physical issues. I was referred to her by…read morea friend. I was told she had very unique training and at the time, I didn't know what that meant. But I do now. She was taught by a Sister Rosalyn that is very well known. Donna also uses some techniques in her massages I've only heard Chiropractor's offer. Graston I think it's called. She uses tools to release histamine and work the muscle. My issue was first polymyalgia. A horrible ailment that strikes after 50. My joints and muscles were in pain. My body hurt so bad and Donna helped my body through deep tissue. She'd massage an area near my neck and shoulders and because my body was so toxic, she had to be very gentle. Eventually she was able to work with my body more deep than originally. My second issue came out later. I had numbness in 2 of my fingers on my right hand. I hated it. I couldn't feel anything. Donna explained to me it was due to some injury over time from my radial and ulna nerves. She showed me where they were and began to work on them. It got better! I no longer have this issue! One time I could barely get up off the floor, I had a pulled muscle in my back. I called Donna, she worked me in. Wow, did I feel better. It takes time to work out these issues with your body. I learned lots about essential oils as she uses them in her practice. The first time she used lavender on me, I was so relaxed I don't think I could have driven a car safely. I can't say enough about her hands. She goes under to your neck and very lightly massages the hair...it's healing because it's loving massage.

It's not as convenient of a…read morelocation for me but I was attracted by the GroupOn deal and was going to be in the relative area later in the week so, I google mapped it and jumped on the GroupOn. I was in need of a deep tissue or sports massage. The relaxing Swedish massage are great, but I usually go for the deep tissue. Scheduling was easy, and I found out that Donna was trained by Sister Rosalind Gefre. She's the lady that does massage for the Saint Paul Saints baseball team. She even has a figurine made in her likeness. I was even more excited to have my massage with Donna, after knowing her training by such a famous expert in massage. Donna's deep tissue massage really fixed me well. She even added in some great reflexology so I felt like I got the deluxe treatment. I had a pinched nerve that she was able to make go away, and I felt great afterwards. Donna incorporated a number of different techniques based on what I needed and was looking for. It reminds of of Bruce Li's Jeet Kune Do, where he takes the best techniques to develop his own most efficient and effective style. I have made repeat visits to Donna's Heavenly Massage, even though it's a less convenient location for me (I'm located way West past Eden Prairie). I've had Donna focus on more legs or more back, depending on the week and my aches. She's gotten busier because word of mouth is getting out. Fortunately, I still have been able to schedule and get great massages from her. As I stated earlier, she has many techniques, but I really gravitate toward the sports massage, reflexology, deep tissue, and I did do a relaxing Swedish massage, after flying in from a trip. I recommend Donna's Heavenly Massage. She's located in Century Office Park, an office building right off of 94 and Century (it's near Green Mill and you can see it from the highway -it's on the frontage road). One last sidenote, she uses Organic Unrefined Coconut Oil. I never itch from it like I do from the cheaper massage oils. It makes my skin a lot more hydrated (better than lotion -I have really dry skin). Her price is the same! Good deal. I know that she also includes aromatherapy if you request it, and she doesnt charge extra (I asked). Donna's Heavenly Massage is better than a "5-Star". GREAT VALUE.
