I went to Island Tech II to have my car checked for an antifreeze fluid leak. After they checked car I was advised by Scott to bring it back early morning on the following day because the part needed to be ordered. I went early next day. The part came and within a matter of about 2 hours my car was done. My experience was a positive one. The shop was super clean, organized and priced fairly well. The mechanics were professional, trustworthy and efficient. Scott was extremely helpful. He's a gem! I will be returning to this shop for all of my future car repairs and will highly recommend to anyone who needs their car serviced. Thank you Island Tech! You guys Rock! read more

Extremely rude and unprofessional. I called in advance to see about getting a simple battery change and was told to come early so he could order the part. I come to the garage early and the guy acted like he didn't remember speaking to me. Once he finally remembered, he responded in a rude tone that he couldn't get the battery and that he had no space to do it. Will not spend money at an establishment that speaks poorly to customers and has no respect. Disgusting. read more

No nonsense service. Honest guys working here and they kept it straight with me and helped me with an alignment issues caused by another shop on the island. They a very fair and kept me in the loop every step of the way. Have reasonable expectations of them, and they'll be reasonable with you in return. Happy to find a place on the island I can trust with my car! read more

I live fairly close to this mechanic and I've always been impressed with how clean the garage is always kept as I pass it. So as I was on my way home I noticed an issue with my car so I figured I'd try it out.....worst decision I could have made. As you walk into a business you usually get greeted with a friendly introduction, not here, far from it. Was greeted with "what" and didn't even look up at me. Explained my issue with my car, and still not looking at me the owner tells me "that's unfortunate good luck" as he walks away. I don't really have to go on with this, that should be enough to not take your business here. Completely unprofessional and rude. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. read more

Went for an inspection and I was in and out, super fast, friendly and clean shop, they definitely will have my business in the future

Needed my first year inspection (2019 lease) which was overdue because of covid-19. This facility took me as a walk in, was quite pleasant and did the job that was needed. Covid precautions were followed. I would definitely consider returning here. read more

I wouldn't return not even for the prices. Employees were arrogant and rude for no reason .

So honest and professional. I called this shop after there was a long wait at another location I usually go. The gentleman on the phone told me to come on over they will take care of me. They attended to my car right away. I was out of there in less than 15 minutes for my car inspection. First time customer and I was blown away how expeditiously they worked. Thanks guys you will be seeing me again!!! read more

By far the most disrespectful, rude, and hostile customer service I've ever received. I was in a emergency with my car and they did nothing but turn me away and "wish me luck" not even within 5 minutes of speaking with me! Highly recommend avoiding this place for all your car needs. This place clearly doesn't care for their customers. Your money is better spent elsewhere. read more

This guy the worse to spend your money with. They didn't even look at the car yet. I tell him I'm having electrical problem. I have a 2010 Mercedes Benz GLK 350 my sunroof curtain had got off track which that's what stop my sunroof from opening up, but I'm thinking like it's close so no water want get in, never know that it had drains and that's how a lil water got in cause my drains to clung up. So I take it to this shop and tell the guy my srs light is on. So this shop trying to finesse with out look at your car. I try to explain what I did know what's gone on and what I think he tell me sound like you know more then me. I told him I'm not just gone to give you my money and you fix what you want and not what I ask or what's really the problem. He definitely seem like he don't respect the blacks dollars. Black people don't spend your money here. Look at the other reviews cause I thought it was me until I read the other reviews like this guy really a ass. Hope this help you guys. Also I spent money with him before. Smfh read more

Glad I chose this place. Googled for the nearest NY car inspection and this place came up with a few great reviews regarding service. Took a chance and was very satisfied. Waited about 5-10 mins and was out the shop in less than 15. Got a friendly greet rather than a "what do u want" holler. Will definitely recommend if you're around the neighborhood. read more

My Husband made an appointment here to get our car inspected. Upon arrival he was told the tint was illegal and he would not inspect it. Funny story is they inspected the same car last year and we had the receipt to prove it. My husband was told the receipt was basically a fake. The owner is a racist if you are a person of African decent you are not welcome here. We went to another establishment and received our inspection without any issues. Same car same day. read more

Honesty and Expertise - the only things that matter when looking for a mechanic. I've just left the shop after having my front brakes replaced. I'm so grateful to Scott for doing a wonderful job. The prices here are very, very reasonable, even on a small budget. Ask for Scott when you go there - and leave happy. read more

Scott is awesome I have a 2001 Mercedes CLK convertible as every other mechanic would take a advantage of me and tell me it will cost me thousands and thousands of dollars to fix Scott is honest trustworthy and gets the job done in the same day no poor excuses he is right on top of his game and gets the job done in a very efficient matter and I truly appreciate getting my car back the same day!!!***** read more

Nice guys and all, but they really don't know what they're doing. They told me I needed to replace my right axle to fix my shaking steering wheel. (That didn't solve the problem). I went to another mechanic, and it turns out all I needed was a wheel balancing. When the owner took my car for a test drive, I thought I was going to die! He went over 60mph down a residential street, and made all sorts of illegal turns. Then I was told, "maybe let me do an alignment," since he had just received the equipment, and wanted to "try it out." Sorry, but I'm not going to be your guinea pig for a $100 additional charge! Also, when they installed a new tail light, they ended up scratching it as well. read more

I've been using Island Tech for about 10 years and I'm still a loyal customer, even after moving to Brooklyn. Scott is an honest guy- you will never pay for any repairs you don't need to make. He is upfront about what you are getting and how much you will be charged. Their quality is top notch. Strongly recommend! read more
