When I got to my destination and the U-Haul was being unloaded I began noticing damage on several pieces of furniture. I contacted him the same day he loaded the truck and things went off the rails quickly. At first he admitted liability and offered to repair my mattress, but as more things came off the truck damaged he changed his response and began denying responsibility. I asked for his insurance information and sent him purchase receipts for the damage items, he wouldn't give me his insurance information. In the end I had a ruined mattress (only 2 years old), a broken antique sewing cabinet, a ruined drafting table, and a warped shelf from a metro rack totally over $2,000 in damage. And an extremely hostile text exchange where he blamed the damage on the fact that I lived on the fourth floor. I lived on the third floor. Save your money and hire someone else. **Update** Jason Dean is now harassing me and making false claims because I left this review. I never signed anything nor had the opportunity to inspect the packed truck. How does one do a walkthrough of a tightly packed truck anyway? I am the person that unloaded the truck with the help of a friend so I saw with my own eyes the way that it was packed improperly. A properly packed truck should not cause this type of damage to my belongings. Not to mention the fact that I told them to use the mattress protector and how to install it before moving the mattress out of my bedroom. Yet when I came upstairs the mattress was being slid across the floor without the protector on it. When they attempted to slide it down the stairs it caught on the threshold and tore off part of the threshold. At the time it was easy to fix the threshold so I only asked them to do that before ending for the day. They did not tell me that the threshold had tore open my mattress in 3 spots and that there was black grime all over the side of it from dragging it along the floor unprotected. Jason did not put the mattress protector on until he got the mattress to the truck.
