I sent in an application to rent a home about 10 days ago. At first, I was in contact with Tracy via text and email. After submitting all necessary documents with our application, I was GHOSTED. No communication whatsoever. I sent multiple emails, texts, and voice mails to follow up, still no response or call back. Even if we were not gonna be chosen as tenants, I feel we should have received a courtesy call/email/text saying that we didn't get the place. I wouldn't recommend this realty group to anyone as they have very poor communication skills. read more

We moved to Oahu during the pandemic and were stressed about finding a rental. Tracy was wonderful from the beginning and helped us get into a great place quickly! It's now been almost two years, and we have been really happy with IRG as a property management company! Thank you to Tracy, Derek, Susie, and the rest of the IRG team for helping with any inquiries we have had during our time here! read more

as i was looking to rent a home in ewa beach, a 4br 3 bath because i enjoyed the thought of having one room and bathroom located downstairs. i loved the pictures taken they looked beautiful so i went ahead and contacted the realtor. Elena, was her name we set up an appointment to look at the house. For starters i was very upset in the fact that she was 15 minutes LATE, we walk into the house she doesnt greet us nor does she show us around this home. she just tells us the basics. this is a 4 br 3 bth house. one full bath and room downstairs and have a look. she gives us no toour no smiles and no sense that she even wants to show us the house not to mention she was on her phone the whole time. professional much ? The house was filthy, it looked as if they bare minimum cleaned it, UNACCEPTABLE. we proceed to ask her questions regardless of the shape in which the house was shown to us... and she responds with attitude, as she proceeds to continue to be on her phone. Later on that day i take another look at the ad & i noticed she gave us a tour of the wrong unit , as they were trying to rent out two homes in ewa that had 4br 3bth. she showed us the more expensive unit that looked like trash ! not the best experience , if your having a bad day dont let it affect the way you work especially when you are trying to rent out a clients home. read more

I just want to Rave about Island Reality, first of all my Realtor Tracey Mangan was absolutely wonderful. She was so helpful in so many ways and went above and beyond to help us find a house. she has continued to check on us and make sure we are happy. Then there is Derik Nakakura who takes care of all service problems and I cannot tell you how nice it is to have someone do what they say in a timely manner. Thank You Island Reality for making our move back to the Island so smooth. If you are looking to buy or rent a home on Oahu I highly recommend Island Realty Group. read more

We rented from Island Realty Group with a very short lease. They are quick to find you a rental, that isn't listed. We saw a home on a rental website that we were interested in however, when I called it was not available for rent, but they did have a home that wasn't listed they were trying to get filled. We looked at the home and it was DIRTY! I even asked Evelyn if it would be cleaned before we moved in, because it was not great and she said no it was as is. We weren't offered yard care but found out later the renter after us was.......... We received a citation from the HOA within days of moving in that the yard was out of control. Which is was. You would think perhaps they would have used some of that unrefunded deposit to clean up this place but they didn't. Although, it wasn't exactly the property mangers fault, several things broke in the house during the short time we were there. After the washer broke a 3rd time they told me if, the repairman decided it wasn't normal wear and tear we'd have to fix it. Umm no. They charge an insane 10% last fee. So don't be late! When we moved out, they had a huge list of items they wanted to cleaned to include getting the carpet cleaned professionally. But, the whole was a mess again when we moved in. Strange.....yes. I would not recommend this company at least for renters, because it just seems they use your deposit to put anywhere but the property. read more

Tracy and Toti helped us buy our first home. It was a short sale. We got an excellent price and now our home is worth $50k more than we paid. Good people! As far as hunting them down... I don't think so. They always reply to my emails and text messages. Maybe not immediately... But they always do. I guess prior reviewers think that Toti and Tracy are sitting by the phone waiting for calls. These people have lives and respond as soon as possible. What else can you ask for? All in all I had a great experience. We would definitely work with them again! Thanks again to the IRG team! read more

Kevin, the utmost UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE and compulsive LIAR. When I confronted Kevin about an issue that he told me he would investigate but did not follow-through and dropped the ball. When I caught him in a lie, I asked him to provide evidence then Kevin became defensive, hostile, and hung-up on me. How's that? I was told by friends that there's a protocol that property managers are to follow but Kevin FAILED! I would NEVER recommend Island Realty Group to anyone, not even to my worse enemy, unless you want to be lied to, yelled at, or disrespected. read more

It's good to know that some Realty companies are still honest. Elena was awesome in assisting my Wife and I as renters. She was always quick to respond and answered any questions we had. Probably the best experience we've had with a property manager. Thank you Elena! read more

This is the worst real estate co. I have ever dealt with. The owners are very unprofessional and aggressive. I was renting a home and the owner came in our home to show to a possible buyer and "lost" her keys and then took our spare key without permission. Not a company I would recommend anyone getting involved with. read more

Elena, the lady who wrote my rental agreement is a very customer friendly lady, the receptionists that already collected my payments are great but the actual owner, Kevin is rude as they come. The day I was doing my walk thru and signing with the lady, he walked a family in just to give them an easier view of the layout. Everything I asked him to get fixed or done, he didn't do. He wouldn't negotiate much less speak when I came in to drop my payment off. He has not made renting from easier, stress less or pleasant, so no, I would not recommend renting or buying from him. read more

This review is based on renting through them, not buying or selling. These guys are criminals and should be in jail. The house we rented was in shambles. We never had work orders completed, they pocket your deposit, and go look at their house! We had to file with the BBB because they ripped us off on refunding our deposit. They said the house was dirty upon move out and we used their cleaning service recommendation. Well I'll say thank GOD for the BBB. They got us our refund in full. Toti is extremely unprofessional and they don't give a rats you know what about you. They just want your money, screw you over, screw the homeowner (because their house is going to crap in the process), and go on smiling. Karma is a... you finish it! Toti deserves to be _ _ _ _ _ slapped! I got the last laugh though. I got out of my contract with no penalties. All I will say is get the BBB involved. The positive reviews here must be their friends, surprised they have any, family, or fake profiles. And what are these photos? Show the inside and recent photos! However, those are the two criminals that should be locked up. read more

Tracy is the most un professional realtor I've ever had to deal with... I'm really not sure how they are in business. They talk a good talk but absolutely do not deliver. She does not return phone calls or e-mails. The only way to get a hold of her is to HUNT her down. Such a bad experience.. DO NOT LIST or buy your home with her. read more

Terrible professionalism from them in all aspects of trying to just arrange a viewing of a rental in Pupukea. They don't contact you until a week later, and once they do, you get a phone number to call for the address just to never hear from them again. After reading their reviews, I feel very lucky to not do business with them. Beware !!!!! read more

Professionalism at its finest! Ian Wheeler affected a seamless sale of my property in Kapolei. Ian staged and listed our home in such a manner, multiple, approved potential buyers stay committed to the residence, knowing only one party would be able to purchase. Ian appropriately adjusted the list price of our home, resulting in our property selling for the highest price for the given model. Extremely knowledgeable with conventional and VA loans, Ian expedited all paperwork, utilizing secure, electronic platforms and mediums to process. Hire Ian! He sticks with his clients and tailors the home buying/selling experience to their specifics. Truly a BLESSED and FAVORED individual. read more

We worked with Elena to find the place we are living in now. She has been wonderful! When we expressed interest in a listing we saw online, she was able to meet with us the very next day to look at it, even though it was a weekend and the office was technically closed. And not only did she show us that one, she also brought us to a different one so we could compare. We chose the first one and she worked with us on pricing and payments to help make sure we could afford it. She even met with us after hours to sign the lease to accommodate my husband's work hours. After moving in we noticed some of the outlets were not working and we wrote Elena an email, to which she promptly replied and then made and appointment for us with the electrician. I don't know about the other realtors but Elena is awesome and has really gone above and beyond for us! read more

For the ppl that are reading these reviews, notice that every positive one starts with the same names Kris, Tracy, and Tonti...they never start will Kevin. This is called subconscious repetitive behavior. Something the guilty does when they try to mask their emotions. Which is exactly what is happening here. Per every negative review another "5" start review comes through and I'll tell you why. There's a little boy that works there that goes by the name of Kevin. He's just like every other child that is angry at the world. Self-conscious Arrogant for all the wrong reasons, angry, lonely, depressed and secretly hates his life. With that being said he takes it out on his customers. He only talks through txt and for good reason. The way he puts you down and laughs and talks the S&$T the way he does is means for an ass whooping so he won't do it in person. He lies to military members as a sales pitch to make you feel more comfortable by telling you he's retired Navy then he throws army rank at the end saying he was a CSM.....? Anyone that's military can immediately see through that BS and should be an instant red flag. He tore into my wife because she's very sweet hearted and doesn't have a mean bone in her body. He wouldn't talk to me or answer any of my calls because he had already met me in person and I had cutt him off several times when he tried to throw BS my way. Bottom line look at these reviews people do not go to the company. The community is gorgeous I agree but isn't worth a penny with the people that are running it. read more

If you ever have the option of using this company, please save yourself and your tenant the hassle and do not! Kevin Rathbun was the worst property manager I had ever dealt with. While I was out of country, he decided to take it upon himself to go into my house without my permission to fix a window, while my wife was asleep upstairs! No warning, he decided that since I did not respond to his phone calls (because I was out of the country on military duty!) that it was ok to go into my house without my permission. This was not the only incident, Kevin was unprofessional and I would not recommend ever working with him. Kevin never answered his phone, it took my wife over 2 weeks to get the A/C fixed, it was a horrible experience for such a beautiful home. I would not recommend working with him to anyone. Pure unclass. read more

We heard about Toti Manhan of Island Realty Group through a friend after his house was sold right after open house with five thousand over asking price. When we talked to Toti and found out that as part of his service the sellers get FREE house cleaning and yard work and minor repairs and professional photographer to make our home look its best. Our home was sold ( offer made ) as soon as it was listed. It was closed yesterday. Our house was built in 2002, and it needed few minor repairs done. Toti arranged to have all these works done on our house. He made the whole process stress free for us the sellers. We will hire Toti Manhan again in the future. He made selling our home a stress free experience. We are so very grateful for that. read more

This is the worst experience ever! Elena has been giving me the run arounds for two weeks now. I drove all the way to Ewa Beach from Kalihi to look at a place that I seen on Craiglist. 1st she was not there and did not answer her phone and 2nd the house I went to was not the one on Craigslist. I wasted my time and gas! I called to confront her about it and she tells me her sad story about her appt and it was a miscommunication about the address. Then she ask me if I have the First Months Rent on me to sign the lease. Lol! She is the worst realtor ever & I will never want to deal with people like that. read more

I am a licensed realtor and work as a property Manager. I had to deal with the broker Kevin and he has a very aggressive attitude. In our job things happen beyond our control. Upon presenting news of the situation he began yelling and making threats instead of talking with me about solutions. I could not get any words in and finally I had to hang up. Please do not rent from this person or avoid dealing with him if you are a realtor. He's the kind of person that after 1 minute of conversation you will know exactly what I mean. read more

Tracy and Toti are both completely unreliable and unprofessional. They promised to replace windows and accessories in our house we bought through them and it has been 4 months with nothing done. They will promise you the world and deliver on none of it. It is by far the worst experience I have ever had in my life. They will not return phone calls or emails promptly or at all. I would NEVER suggest using them as a realtor or in any other facet. read more

If you want to be ignored and mislead please contact this company. Super unprofessional and inconsistant. The realtor texts you to relay sensitive information and takes forever to reply. I had to nag the realtor to follow up on the units. She had me waiting for 3 days : ( the ad said available NOW. With the market being so competitive you would assume that everyone has excellent customer service, but not at all. Searching for a home for your family is very important and if you can't trust them with the little things how can u trust them with the bigger things. My parents wanted to use this realty for a few large purchases but have decided not to go with a company that does not pride themselves in keeping the customer priorities in front of their own. Who shows up to a showing with their friends and children? First impressions are very important especially when money is involved. Please use another professional establishment read more

The professionalism of the company is lacking in a major way!!!!! It was requested that we submit rent payments via cashier's check and when I did, they tried to tell me that it was not a cashier's check and that it was the same as the other checks I had been sending from my bank (USAA). She basically accused me of lying. I had to take screen shots of my bank statement on my phone showing the funds were already taken from my account and that it was, in fact, a guaranteed check. Then I got NO apology whatsoever after I proved her wrong. We've also been ignored with things that need fixed and got the 3rd degree from them when we paid late one month. I paid my ridiculously HIGH late fee, but sent a letter stating I felt it was ridiculous. This house was TRASHED when we moved in, and we have made it look a million times better, with our OWN money, and labor! And yet we get treated like scum from the staff there. If I could get out of this lease, I totally would! read more

Island Realty Group has sold 2 homes for me. Toti, Tracy and their staff have been very professional and accommodating from day 1. Kevin, Realtor/broker, is very disrespectful and unprofessional!! Especially for a "retired E-6 in the military"??? I do not believe that one bit after the way he talked to me!!!!!!! (possible sales pitch??) Here is the story: We had contacted him about a property in which he showed us and were very interested in. He stated that when signing the lease, the rent would be prorated due to the fact we were going to sign on the 25th of June. I had called him and left him a message stating I wanted to clarify what was due when signing and when Julys rent would be due. He never called back. So after talking it over with my husband, we thought it would be wise if we started the least on July 1st (5 days later) considering it made more sense to us instead of starting it on the 25th. We Text Messaged Kevin, Telling him our idea to see if he would consider that and he got mad at us and stated that he was going to put the property back on the market. He clearly did not understand what we were trying to ask him. So I called him to explain to him what we thought and that it was just an idea, that we would still sign on the 25th if it was needed. When he answered, I stated "Hi, its Heather" and he completely cut me off and started yelling at me over the phone. Stating that My husband obviously does not know the way a business runs, and cannot understand a text message. I tried to tell him "sir I think you are confused please let me explain" he cut me off again and kept yelling, stating he is not going to give us free rent(which we had no clue where the "free Rent" came from) and continued to put my husband down due to not understanding his text. So after a while with him not letting me talk, I stated "sir, will you please let me talk. all we wanted to know was if it was possible for us to start on the 1st instead of the 25th" he yelled back and said "No because I am not going to loose 5 days of money" and I tried to explain to him that we were just suggesting but that we still can sign on the 25th. He continued to argue with me, putting my husband down more, So I told him that he was being very disrespectful and very unprofessional and that I do NOT want to rent from someone like that. Also, When he showed the house to us, He barged in on the younger lady (who lived there alone with 2 younger kids) who acted very embarrassed and uncomfortable. He also stated that he lost a tenant (who was there for 4 years) due to the fact he bumped the rent up 100$ suddenly... I would NOT Rent from someone that treats his tenants/ soon to be tenants with such disrespect!!!!! read more

This Realty Company is far more the WORST EVER Company I have dealt with. TOTI was very understanding and did what he could to help me in my situation. Tragically after the recent passing of my boyfriend and then my Father, needed to move to a cheaper place within two weeks. ELENA was inconsistent and irresponsible by not returning phone calls and missed two appointments which SHE scheduled. I called the first time to confirm our appointment and she said sarcastically "You're interrupting my dinner". We rescheduled to the next day and she hadn't called me back or where to meet her. I called her to find out if we were still meeting and she sighed as if I were an INCONVENIENCE to her. I made my availability to accommodate her because time was running out for me. My personal experience with KEVIN, is a Nightmare. Yes, I'm not perfect and like most people, I struggle. I have made a few late payments and I have paid in full with late fees every month. That doesn't give him the right to be ARROGANT, RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL, HEARTLESS and EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL! He called me liar, he told me that I bounced checks (By the way, I don't you can bounce cashiers checks?) told me that I was done and finished. When I tried to ask him a question about why he NEVER returned my phone calls, he interrupted me and started screaming at me. He then told me "You better start looking on craigslist and good luck with that!" Really? He says that he believes "there is" a God but business first and then God." My comment was "No, it's GOD FIRST and then business. " He laughed at me. With all being said this was my horrible experience with this company and strongly recommend NOT to rent with them. read more

If there was a way to leave negative stars I would. Horrible experience! When we first started renting from them Kevin called me up and basically told me off for not returning his call. Fyi i did return his call and he wouldn't answer. Then the lock box was left on my door for months and a part was missing from my fridge for months. Kevin R. did not return any calls or texts and did not respond to letters I sent. The only reason I got the part and the lock box taken off was because my neighborhood association sent in complaints because my ac kept leaking. The people who came to fix it had the lock box code and provided me with my refrigerator part. When it was time to move they were so rude and unprofessional. Kevin didn't even go through the final walk through. He sent someone that never saw the property before. He showed us completely different paperwork from when we signed to when we vacated. He called me and spent 20 minutes telling me off and being so rude and unprofessional because just we called the office trying to get a hold of him and told them he wouldn't return our calls. I could go on and on. This was by far the worst experience we have ever had. We have always been clean, respectful, quiet tenants who paid on time. They lie to get you in and try to steal from you when you leave. To top it off, they rip into you and ignore you when you try to get answers. I didn't want to sign the final papers until I spoke with Kevin but Elena threatened that if I did not sign right then I would be charged additional rent. Then after I signed, she added things to the checkout list and would not provide me with a copy!?! STAY AWAY!!! these people are thieves and liars! if I ever see or speak to Kevin again it will be too soon. read more
