I was suprised that there were so few local items. If I wanted goods made in PA, I'd go to PA. I asked which produce items were local and it sounded like almost none of them. You can get baked goods, produce, bottled and jarred items like pickes, candy, meats, and "homemade" deli items. There were plants for purchase, some outdoor furniture, and a cafe. The best part of the place ended up being the animals. We fed some goats and took a phot with the large bull statue. I think this would be a great place to bring kids to see the animals. I don't think it's worth the drive if you're staying on the coast because it's mostly grocery store quality produce and items you can get for less elsewhere. But, if you need something to do with kids and you're close by, it's worth a stop.

My sister, my granddaughter and I went out today to get our Christmas tree. After looking at a few…read moreother places and not finding any that we liked, we ended up at Chesapeakes Bounty in St. Leonard, MD. We parked, got out of the car and started looking at the trees. A gentleman came over (with a cute elf hat on) and he took the time to answer any questions that we had about the different trees. He showed us the area that had the size trees we were interested in getting. He told us to be careful as the ground was saturated from the melting snow. He was so kind to my granddaughter and even agreed to pose for a picture with her. The selection of trees was better the any we had seen elsewhere, it was clean and the trees were organized by size and price with plenty of room to walk around each tree. I told Will, the man that was helping us, that Chesapeake Bounty will be my go to not only for our yearly Christmas tree but all year round! Thank you for the Christmas cheer and Merry Christmas!!
