I love the concept of this place. The dessert was delicious!! My husband and I both ordered one when we went and we would definitely get it again! Not too pricey either. read more

All of the hype reviews and it's just OK. The cookie by itself (we got the chocolate chip) was just alright. It's a buttery cookie with no real depth of flavor - that's it. We got another chocolate chip with vanilla ice cream and again, the ice cream was alright as well. Here I was thinking it would be this amazingly fresh vanilla ice cream and it was just alright. Save yourself the time and just get a cookie from Amarij coffee. read more

My daughter and I went to visit my husband at Wallops Island. We went over to Chincoteague to get a sweet treat and decided to try BYOC. By first glance, it's a small food truck, which seems to be the thing here for quite a few places to eat. They set out tables and chairs with umbrellas, thank you for that! The menu was laid out well and made ordering simple. You choose your cookie, your ice cream and your toppings. I am so glad they had a gluten-free cookie, and I was surprised with how good it was! You don't need to order more than one scoop of ice cream, the scoops are generous and the cookies are huge! I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for dessert. This was one place that didn't disappoint me on the island read more

These cookies are big and warm. What a great stop. We didn't try the ice cream as there was not a lactose free option. But they did have a vegan cookie. So good!! Would totally stop again. read more

Warm cookie (8 to pick from), scoop or two of ice cream (Hershey's- says so right on the sign on front, so quit griping), topping (huge variety), whipped cream and cherry = what's not to love?! Fantastic little food stand and what a treat. Those complaining that it's all "too sweet" or "too big, I couldn't finish it"-- seriously?! Of course it's sweet. And if it was small then you'd be complaining about that too, wouldn't you? So for a big sweet treat, we will be back! read more

We got in line at a good time, 5 minutes later it was double! They have lots of options listed in the picture of the menu below. They use Hershey Ice Cream (which is pretty tasty) to top the cookie. My husband and I shared 1 cookie, 2 scoops & 1 typing. It was enough for both of us. The combination of the ice cream and sweet cookie was a bit of a sweet overload for my husband and I. read more

Great Ice Cream sundaes, milk shakes and cones! The staff is fantastic and super sweet and friendly! Thanks Ladies for a great experience!

We were in Chincoteague for 4 days and we went to BYOC 3 times. The cookies are homemade and absolutely delicious! Put some Hershey's ice cream on top and add another topping or two, and you've got an amazing dessert! The staff are friendly and helpful. read more

For us this is a must stop! We also tried the other well reviewed ice cream place nearby and all agreed this was the best! The ratio of cookie to ice cream and toppings is perfect! The cookie is warm and delicious, the ice cream is high quality and topping it off with whipped cream is perfect! Worth a stop...or in our case 2! read more

We arrived a half hour before they closed on a Saturday night. The line was long so we figured it must be worth the wait. We got a snickerdoodle cookie with mouse tracks ice cream and Reese's cups on top. The portion was generous and it was delicious. It was more than enough for 2 of us to share for dessert. The cookie was warm which was perfect. read more

We have gone to the other location in the past and both of them never disappoint! The cookies are so fresh and warm and with a scope of icecream on top it just makes it. Loved the salted caramel cookie with caramel and truffle ice cream topped with pretzels beat combo Evers the staff is so sweet as well. Best way to end the night read more

A great new take on ice cream! Please open up in the north east! I had a snickerdoodle cookie with salted caramel ice cream and Oreo topping and it was amazing!! My boyfriend got a chocolate chip cookie with coffee ice cream and butterfingers topping. The fact that it's a warm cookie is wonderful! read more

Very good and unique flavors with can't miss cookies. If you have a sweet tooth, this is the place for you.

Creative idea, but not really worth the calories. The cookies themselves weren't great and it's just Hershey Ice Cream, so nothing fantastic. We went here bc we didn't want to wait in line at the other ice cream shops. I got the chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream and hot fudge, which was good. My husband got the peanut butter cookie, banana pudding ice cream, and butterfinger topping, and it wasn't good AT ALL. The ice cream tasted like fake banana, and the cookie was as hard as a rock. read more

Oh man, what a great drive-by find on Chincoteague! BYOC has a large variety of cookies, ice creams, and toppings to combine to make a delicious dessert. They microwave the cookie to make it nice and hot, then put one or two scoops of ice cream on top and then whatever topping you like. Whipped cream and a cherry are included. The lady working there was so kind and friendly, it added a lot to the whole experience. This is one of the best desserts I've had in a long time. One dessert is easily big enough to split between two people, but we each loved ours so much we ate our own. The calories were totally worth it. A highly recommended stop if you a find yourself on the island. read more

Stopped here for our last night of vacation - I got a strange combo, chocolate chip banana cookie with coconut chocolate almond ice cream. It was SO GOOD! You NEED to come here, there are so many cookie, ice cream, and topping choices! I included a pic of the menu and my sundae. You get a great amount of food for under $6. The cookies are warm and delicious, the ice cream is Hershey's (so, yum!), and the staff is friendly. The servings are huge! Really great treat for a day at the beach. I would have given this five stars if they had required masks as at every other food truck, restaurant and retailer we visited during our stay. Thankfully, the staff were wearing masks, otherwise I would have left without ordering. read more

We came here after dinner at Woody's, and it 100% hit the spot. Extensive ice cream flavors, cookie and toppings options - there's something for everyone. The ordering process was quick, and we received our dessert in a matter of minutes. Chocolate peanut butter ice cream on top of a chocolate chip cookie with m&ms, pretzels, and whipped cream....pure heaven, and worth every calorie. Friendly service, and limited outdoor seating. read more

Cookies are great nice and warm ice cream was an added bonus butter pecan was loaded with pecans you don't have to search for them

The title is a little misleading. You don't build a cookie. You just choose which ice-cream and sprinkles you get on top. However, it's a really good cookie and the ice-cream is great. The only downside is the portions were a little big for me. I could not eat it all. read more

Ive been to this place twice in less than 24 hours. That should say something. I'm also ashamed of myself, but it was just that good.

All I'm saying is awesome homemade brownie, scoop of chocolate peanut butter ice cream, hot fudge, whipped cream and a cherry! Wow!! Ok, maybe I'll say more. If you're looking for a desert on the island or anywhere this is the place. Not just brownies but cookies too and they are not prepackaged. Tons of options, too many to list. Would definitely come back, maybe even tonight! :) read more

BYOC is a must-visit on Chincoteague! The cookies are delicious! We visit BYOC multiple times each trip out to the island, and it's our favorite place to get a quick bite. My personal favorite is the chocolate chip cookie with cookie dough ice cream, but the truffle salted caramel ice cream is also delicious! They have a pretty large selection of ice cream and toppings. The server was very nice and friendly. Now go get a cookie! read more

Wonderful sized cookie with great ice cream combo. Hot fudge and sprinkles were added. Comes in a take-away plastic so easy transport.

Hersheys ice cream. Fresh, warm cookie. I believe 6 cookie flavors to choose from. Toppings galore. For $4.99 you choose a cookie, 1 scoop of ice cream, and a topping (whip cream and a cherry are included) $5.49 = 1 cookie, 1 scoop & 2 toppings. $5.99 =1 cookie, 2 scoops and 1 topping. They also have shakes, rootbeer floats and ice cream cookie sandwiches(2 sizes). read more

It's a fun concept, when lines are long expect wait 20 minutes. We always stop here when we come down. A little disappointed in the cookie dough, the price is crazy for the two bites they give you! When they first started serving it, it was a much nicer portion and didn't mind paying the price for it. read more

I loved BYOC it was so good! You have so many options to choose from! You can choose your favorite cookie and you choose your favorite ice cream to put on top of the cookie. If you want you can choose a topping. BYOC has many other things to choose from like sundaes, cookie ice cream sandwiches, and many more. I really liked mine, other people probably didn't like there's as much because they didn't pick the right things to put on top of their cookie, no offense to the other people. One little thing that I didn't really like was that it was in a truck and it was raining outside at the same time we were waiting in line for a cookie. Which the raining was really not their fault but if I were them I would most likely change the truck part and make something bigger. Otherwise I thought the cookies were so good and delicious! It's a definite five stars for me! read more

Too much sugar for us and we didn't even go crazy with it - I had chocolate chip cookie, vanilla ice cream and caramel (no whip). He had a brownie sundae. Amazing service and delicious desserts. 100% recommend. I have been every time I come to the beach here

My husband love this place primarily because there's the service is quick and no line!!! Deserts are so good.

BYOC is the perfect place to create the perfect cookie! They offer a large variety of different toppings, ice cream, and cookies, to help you make the most delicious dessert ever! The number of toppings they provided was amazing, and their cookies were warm, fresh and mouthwatering. In addition, they were very careful with anyone who had allergies. They made sure to use separate scoops and spoons for the ice cream and toppings. With a self-service option, you can pick any topping as many times as you want, and the employees were very patient as I was deciding my toppings. Although it is a small place, it is really cozy and comfortable. It made Chincoteague Bay feel like home. The employees showed great care and hospitality towards their customers, making sure that everyone was satisfied with their desserts. The owners themselves came over to make sure I was happy with my dessert. The positive atmosphere at BYOC made the desserts even sweeter. read more
