I met with them during the opening and trusted their professional recommendations. Once I was no longer there supervising, however, it became one additional charge after another. They identified plumbing issues and recommended that I pay to have the plumbing redone. I followed their recommendation and paid the additional cost. Yet the leaks that were part of the reason for addressing the plumbing still weren't resolved, and I was then faced with attempts to charge me even more. I have no problem paying for legitimate repairs that are clearly outside a maintenance contract. My problem is paying $3,098 for complete seasonal maintenance, approving additional work they recommended, and still repeatedly being presented with more charges while the underlying issues remain. For anyone considering them, my advice is simple: get every detail in writing and question every additional charge before approving anything. They got me this season. Never again. Stay away.

The filter was broken, water was leaking when we tried to add water, parts were missing, and the cover had a hole. For the evaluation prior tot he installation we were visited by of the owners who had come to our home and at the time the home we purchased had a pool filled with weeds, was not level, and needed a new liner and skimmer/filter hooked up. I never had a "real" pool prior, just an inflatable one that we bought at TRU years ago. The crew took their time cleaning out the debris, leveling the pool and making sure we were all set up for a summer of fun! They arrived promptly at 8:30 and were done by 11:45? maybe even 11:30. I could not be happier with the service they provided along with answering all of my questions by way of maintenance and upkeep. They also provide pool openings and closures as well.

SHOCKING!!!! I went to G and S pools today with my daughter…read moreto have my pool water tested. I have a frog system and was told by my brother in law to go there because he went there to have his water tested ( same frog system) and they were the only ones to get it right. I have very little experience when it comes to pools and trust my brother in laws advice very much. So when he told me to head over there I did not hesitate. When I walked in I was greeted immediately by a friendly worker who asked if I needed help. I asked to have my water tested and she asked If I had ever been there before because they normally go by appointment. I immediately apologized and said I did not know. She was very nice and said it was not a problem and asked what system I had, I told her it was a frog system. A tall women with grey short hair ( I was later told may be the owner??) whipped her head around in the middle of helping another customer and very rudely told me they do not carry that system and would not test the water. I proceeded to tell her my brother in law had the same system and had his water tested with them and they were the only one to get it right and that that is the only reason why I was there because he spoke so highly of them. Again very rudely in front of my 12 year old daughter she proceeded to be very rude and tell me she would not test the water. She said since I purchased the system through Montalbano's she said they would not be testing the water that they need to deal with the problem. Completely unprofessional and shocking to be spoken to that way. I am not a confrontational person at all and I walked away so upset . Why turn business away like that, there is a correct way to speak to people. I was prepared to bring my business there, as I needed a few things. I had planned on buying all the chemicals to get the water corrected, I also needed a new cover for pool and various other items I was actually planning on purchasing. She lost my business and now my brother in law who was apologetic and later told me she was the one who had helped him. Not terrible, and the pool looked good all season- no major outbreaks. They forgot to empty both skimmers a few times, which is always frustrating. I will say, then the pump broke they identified the problems and replaced it 1-2-3. No issues after that. My big problem was opening was over $600, and closing was almost $500. They didn't tie the cover to the side like they should have, so I had no call and wait for them to come out again to fix that. I won't use them again this year- still looking.
