Tomato Basil Spaghettini
Melissa B.

The service was very friendly, location is great--but the food was extremely disappointing. I hate leaving a negative review and rarely do but I wish I had known what the food would have been like before we went. I got the tomato and basil spaghettini with chicken added. It completely lacked any flavor. I needed to add salt which is rare to do at a restaurant as things usually come over salted. The chicken was poorly seasoned and weirdly cut, the skin of the chicken was served face side down, and extremely soggy with strange cuts in it (I'm assuming the cuts in the chicken were to make it cook faster). Everything felt very plain and basic. My mom got the spinach chicken and it was the same type of chicken I got, but with melted cheese on it over a bed of raw spinach that had zero flavor as well. There was not a single hint of garlic in anything. The sliced bread that came with each plate was basically like sandwich bread and not even toasted or warm. I really wanted to love this place but I'm honestly a little surprised at the other positive reviews--maybe we came on an off day? But one look at the photos of the food would have told me all I needed to know.

This place was really good loved the vibe. The pizza was soo good love pizza would totally recommend. Will for sure be going back. The service was perfect great attention. We had a party of 13 and everything came out great!!

Mushroom ravioli

Disappointing portions. To-go order messed up. Paid for add-on meatball but not received.

Shrimp salad

Riley and Alfonso. YOU BOTH DID AN AMAZING JOB. Both of the 2 young people were short staffed but they were handling the customers with a smile. I would love to come back and eat here again. Food was amazing. The view is beautiful. We had more food than this but I didn't want to be rude and be all over the table.

Fiero Spritz

Such a great vibe and the food was delicious! Lobster ravioli and tortellini were sooo good! The fiero spritz was the perfect daytime refreshing cocktail. A must visit!

Delicious sandwich, disgusting place. The restroom was super dirty, the kitchen looked questionable too.

It was super hot in the restaurant and it was the most mediocre food I've had. Frozen pizza is better than the pizza they served me.

Great food at a very affordable price! Definitely will be back. You can't go wrong with a sandwich and a side of pasta salad.

We enjoyed the El Diablo Knots, the Greek Salad, chicken tenders, and the Giant 28-Inch Pizza. Everything hit the mark. Everything tasted amazing. Even the Giant pizza was full of flavor and high quality ingredients. The thing that made our first visit most memorable was the staff. They were so friendly and helpful to our large group of 14 people. We really appreciated their service.

I fired up the good ol' trusted Yelp app and this place popped up and they have a nice HH deal even on the weekend. I stopped in around 5:20pm and had a slice of sausage and mushroom and an Orange Wit beer. Both items came to $9, which is a sweet deal here in SD. You take a number and wait for your food. I snagged a table right outside on the sidewalk and had a prime people watching spot, sweet! A young woman brought me my slice and then noticed I also didnt have my beer and fetched it for me. She was sweet (and a beach cutie), thank you! The pizza slice was solid and beer was great! Im definitely coming back here when Im here in Coronado! I loved this casual spot to grab a slice and beer. Afterwards, head over to the beach to enjoy the sunset. Everybody in Coronado loves this place too, it was busy and packed with all the beach goers!

Our server was Chris and he was OUTSTANDING...very attentive and very friendly. Both managers visited our table several time to make sure we were good. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is that what I had was just a bit underwhelming. We ordered the braised beef potstickers, california roll, and grilled and chilled shrimp for appetizers. The meat in the potstickers was very mushy. The california roll was decent. The grilled and chilled shrimp were fine. My husband had the filet - ordered medium well, served medium...the twice baked potato was very small and seemed to be overcooked. I had the lemon chicken entree - the taste was good, but was just a bit dry...it was served with fries, which was fine. The other couple ordered the skirt steak and the braised short ribs which they seemed to enjoy. My drink was amazing - the Amalfi Spritz. For dessert, we tried the butter cake...again, a bit underwhelming and not really good on flavor...I did taste the toffee and caramel, but the cake itself had no taste. Overall, I would go back because of the service, the drinks, and the ambiance.

We enjoyed the open kitchen, the high ceilings, the breeze and the comfort! We didn't have reservations and it was Mother's Day weekend so we expected to wait and I'm glad we did. I had a delicious granola bowl, a few people in my group had the Eggs Benedict on the house-made English muffins (so good) and there was a very happy avocado toast in the mix. We shared an epic French toast with magical cinnamon syrup - really recommend the French toast!! Loved it enough to add it to the rotation when visiting San Diego.

The food is good I guess. The wagyu taco had a nice flavor and the greens with the sauce made it work. I don't think it's actually wagyu, but the word is pretty much meaningless at this point. For the crust, I found it to be way too chewy rather than light and flaky. I couldn't even cut it with my spoon anymore and had to pick up a long thing of crust and pull it apart with my teeth. I will allow that the gravy and other contents are bland and generic since if it had as much flavor as I actually want, other customers will be complaining about it. But the crust I cannot forgive. Overall it was not bad though. Surprisingly, my favorite item was the brussels sprouts. Even with all the seasoning and cheese, I found the flavor to be well balanced. Even after most of the plate, I noticed I didn't find it too salty. I really like the menus in the crappy brown folders. I think they might've also done it because it's easy and cheap, but it works well with the aesthetic they have.
