We waited for happy hour to only find out it's the same price as the regular deal lol. Anywho pizza was good! 10/10 delicious The sliders were not worth it, the bread was soggy and you only get half a meatball per sandwich: Staff was friendly and nice. We have been here a couple times in the past and always have a good experience.

One of our favorites! Pizza remind us of NYC pies. Calzones are stuffed. Food is served hot! Staff are friendly. Family atmosphere with seating outside. Parking can be difficult.

Was lucky enough to attend a dress rehearsal showing of Arms and the Man at The Lambs Players theater, so we decided to try out Village Pizzeria for some pre-show dinner. It was a Tuesday night and I was pleasantly surprised to know they had happy hour pricing on their slices, drinks, and some apps. Tried the Sicilian pizza and Napoli. Now when they say slice, they really mean two slices, as they were so big! Also tried their Parmesan wings and hot wings. The wings were giant and flavored perfectly with crispy skin. The service was great, the food delicious, and the patio seating made for such a perfect and relaxing evening. I don't come to Coronado often, but will definitely come back just for the pizza and patio seating.

This spot is in a great location, just a short walk from the Coronado Hotel and beach. They've got really good happy hour prices, which makes it a nice option for families. The indoor seating has that classic old brick pizza house feel, and the outdoor area on the side offers some shade which was nice. The cashier and waitress were both really nice and attentive, which we appreciated. We ordered the meatball sliders, garlic Parmesan wings, a slice of pepperoni, and a slice of Hawaiian. Everything was fine, nothing bad but nothing that really stood out either. It's not the kind of food I'd find myself craving later, but for the price, location, and overall vibe, it was worth the stop.

One can only imagine what goes on in the kitchen and what kind of hygiene standards they have if the tables in the dining area are cleaned with the same broom that was just used to sweep the floor. This was my first and last time visiting this pizzeria. I will never come back.

I really wanted to love Village Pizzeria but it was only okay. The service was excellent and the restaurant itself is in a great location. However, it is pretty expensive and you could get better pizza for cheaper. The sicilian pizza had good flavor but the crust was very dense and doughy.

We had Whitestone Meathead Works Mac and cheese Salad Party of six sharing three large pizzas and we still had plenty of leftovers. What a great find. Great location with a wonderful view and delicious pizzas. They really cook the crust so they're not soggy. We came during the week in the evening and that might make a difference in terms of the huge crowds as it is a popular tourist spot.

Honestly wish I had better things to say about this. The bacon alla vodka pizza and lil vodka roni fries sounded promising but I feel like the sauce wasn't really there. My family did enjoy the pizza crust though, and there is a good amount of outdoor seating.

After a long day at the beach, this hits!!! We got the Meathead. I don't like Canadian bacon aka ham but everything else was delish!! Blonde ale was yummy. Add the pepper flakes ... kicks it up.

This place is fantastic! The pizza and salad were both absolutely delicious, made with fresh ingredients and packed with flavor. The view is stunning, perfect for enjoying a meal while taking in the scenery. On top of that, the prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, making it a great spot to hang out with friends or family. I'll definitely be coming back and can't wait to try more from the menu!

I really liked it here. We came for Military Monday 1/2 off large pizza. And they have happy hour 3-6. Crispy pizza crust. Gooey mozzarella sticks. Jamie was super cool! We'll be back just cuz that guy made our experience awesome. Very catering and fun. Can't beat the view on the bay. They have heaters to keep you warm also

Nice local pizzeria with reasonable lunch single slice options. Traditional taste pizza. Good quick lunch service Fun to sit street side.

Places is packed, but there's not a lot of alternatives. We got the Pound town pizza which was burnt on the outside and cold in the middle. It had enough pepperoni on it to allow us to open our own pizzeria and not run out all night. The garlic knots were burnt and they weren't able to refund us and make new ones because they were out. All in all food is mediocre.

Ask the Community - Village Pizzeria

    Is it dog friendly?

On the patio, dogs are frequent guest.

Is this pizza place owned by the same people who operate Village Pizzeria Bayside?

Yes, the owner is Blue Bridge Hospitality, and also owns several other Coronado restaurants.

Do they sell pizza by the slice?

Yes they do, but I only had them during their happy hour from 3-6pm and 9-close. You would have to call to see if they do before or after, but I don't see what not.

Our server was Chris and he was OUTSTANDING...very attentive and very friendly. Both managers visited our table several time to make sure we were good. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is that what I had was just a bit underwhelming. We ordered the braised beef potstickers, california roll, and grilled and chilled shrimp for appetizers. The meat in the potstickers was very mushy. The california roll was decent. The grilled and chilled shrimp were fine. My husband had the filet - ordered medium well, served medium...the twice baked potato was very small and seemed to be overcooked. I had the lemon chicken entree - the taste was good, but was just a bit dry...it was served with fries, which was fine. The other couple ordered the skirt steak and the braised short ribs which they seemed to enjoy. My drink was amazing - the Amalfi Spritz. For dessert, we tried the butter cake...again, a bit underwhelming and not really good on flavor...I did taste the toffee and caramel, but the cake itself had no taste. Overall, I would go back because of the service, the drinks, and the ambiance.

We enjoyed the open kitchen, the high ceilings, the breeze and the comfort! We didn't have reservations and it was Mother's Day weekend so we expected to wait and I'm glad we did. I had a delicious granola bowl, a few people in my group had the Eggs Benedict on the house-made English muffins (so good) and there was a very happy avocado toast in the mix. We shared an epic French toast with magical cinnamon syrup - really recommend the French toast!! Loved it enough to add it to the rotation when visiting San Diego.

They had good drink options and a menu that everyone could find something. I got the salmon and thought it was good but very plain and therefore expensive for what you got. We split the Brussels which were good, and others enjoyed the pot pie, gem salad, steak tacos, fish tacos and more. Overall everyone liked their food but none of the dishes blew us away.

The food is good I guess. The wagyu taco had a nice flavor and the greens with the sauce made it work. I don't think it's actually wagyu, but the word is pretty much meaningless at this point. For the crust, I found it to be way too chewy rather than light and flaky. I couldn't even cut it with my spoon anymore and had to pick up a long thing of crust and pull it apart with my teeth. I will allow that the gravy and other contents are bland and generic since if it had as much flavor as I actually want, other customers will be complaining about it. But the crust I cannot forgive. Overall it was not bad though. Surprisingly, my favorite item was the brussels sprouts. Even with all the seasoning and cheese, I found the flavor to be well balanced. Even after most of the plate, I noticed I didn't find it too salty. I really like the menus in the crappy brown folders. I think they might've also done it because it's easy and cheap, but it works well with the aesthetic they have.
