We had…read moreused a well known day care chain, that was supposed to be excellent in Bay ridge, but it was not. It had inconsistent staff , no activities , few toys , nothing on the walls, absolutely not stimulating in any way. So we decided to look for a change. The Staten Island JCC on Manor road has been amazing. Great security, a consistent and caring staff. An inviting room which designates play area with lots of appropriate toys . A nice outdoor play area. This day care is really everything you want for your child and you can leave them there with confidence. They really love and care about your child. My son was 7 months old when we started here. The only negative is that the infant day care is on the lower floor and there is no elevator. ( actually there is an elevator, that allows you to take a long way there, but it seems to be often in disrepair!! ) other than that , this is a perfect day care. Yes it is closed on several Jewish holidays, which coincides with the public school holidays most of the time. Don't hesitate to use this place for day care, they really care about your child. I would give it 10 stars if I could.

I was very polite until I had to get her attention because she was busy on her personal phone. Yes, I was frustrated and upset and she should have noticed this but instead she told me to shut my mouth. She was incredibly rude and continued to ignore me as I tried to get information on when Lisa would be in. I cannot express enough how upset I am. I tried to call to report her behavior but no one seems to be able to take my complaint. I choose to stay anonymous in this complaint otherwise.

I found this gymnastics classes for my 3 y.o on Facebook. I called 718-682-7502 on Friday last week. The teacher on the phone seemed to be nice. I asked her about schedule for toddlers and if we could attend a trial class. She said we could come in on Sat. at 10am. or on Tue. at 6pm. The trial will be about 25-30min, not the whole hour, which I was fine with. But because they are located in "Shorefront", I was told that I had to call them directly to register if I come on Sat. Since it was about 4 pm, she said try to call them now, see if you can still register for Sat. I asked her: "what if we wouldn't be able to come on Sat. and will come on Tue. Do we need to be registered too? on what she said "no, just come in" I repeated again "ouh, we can just come in?" -"yes, just come in" Ok. That's what we did. We came on Tuesday, I paid for 1h.parking meter on Coney Island ave, walked inside and security at the front desk wasn't too nice saying that everyone had to be registered and it doesn't matter what and who told you that you don't need to register if you come on Tue. I said: "Well, let me call the number I called on Friday and speak with her again" The teacher picked the phone up and I tried to explain her that we are downstairs and the lady I spoke with on Friday had told me to just come in on Tue. and now, security doesn't let me go inside without registration. I was rudely answered: "Lady, I am busy right now, I have a class, I am with kids and I can't help you" I repeated again-"Yes, I understand, I am here with my daughter for this class and I can't come inside because I wasnt told to be registered prior." What she shouted at me in response- "I can't help you right now, I can't !!! Ask downstairs, I can't talk to you right now! To what I answered: "Well, then we will not attend your classes, bye". I was pissed off by this conversation. I was interested in these classes and would definitely do what was required from me, but now I better look for something else. Instead of apologizing and saying that someone either gave me a wrong information or we misunderstood each other and should come different day, she shouted at me.She had a minute to shout at me instead of using that minute telling me to come back another day.This is not the way you should talk to your customers who try to sign up and first time coming there. I don't want my daughter to have a rude teacher like that. Thanks! Good luck!
