There was so much to do that I didn't need to hire a face painter, a musician or anything else to make this party absolutely stellar. The kids ranging from 1 to 7 years old had a great time. The staff were friendly and engaging of the kids while on the mats. Off the mats, I supplied the pizza, drinks, cake, etc which worked out okay. My complaint was that I had reserved the place with 50 kids in mind which usually requires extra staff and I felt like the amount of staff they had to help when off the mats was not enough...they weren't great about handing out pizza and cake/cupcakes and helping the kids find a seat...they didn't even have enough seats set up for all of the kids that I had reserved for...so, that is why I'm not giving them a perfect score...if they were better with helping the food end of things which is part of their party responsibilities, I would have given a perfect rating. I would book a party here again...it was perfect for this age group and definitely perfect for older kids...well worth the price charged for NYC prices...but book early as they fill every party slot months in advance.

That, I understand but this was too much. I had a friend waiting at the door in the freezing cold waiting to get in and texting me. To get into the rest of the particulars is not worth the agitation. Suffice it to say, have your son or daughters Birthday party somewhere else. I will add, we had a great Birthday party for my son there last year. He goes to school in the neighborhood which made it convenient for me and the other parents. With all of the great places to choose in NYC I would say avoid NYC Elite at all costs. It is not worth the experience or the inconsistency.

Parents are welcome to watch along during practice, but not to interfere during class/training. The space is remarkable. A little treasure in the heart of Glendale. I used to be a gymnast many many moons ago and wanted to see if I could still do some tricks, but on very bouncy surfaces. Cory was so kind and patient with me and he really left a lasting impression, so we kept in touch. When my friend told me her son was interested in gymnastics, of course Cory immediately came to mind! We ended up stopping by this past weekend and I was so happy to see what Cory has accomplished. Lots of equipment especially for children, combined with his signature helpful, kind demeanor and fun yet safe approach was such a great experience for my friend and her son. My son was registered at NYC Elite Gymnastics last year. As a warning for all parents signing up,…read moreyou must pay for the full month of classes regardless of whether the gym cancels classes or has no classes because of holidays. No credit is issued. My son was registered for November and December. The gym did not have classes in half of November and half of December because of the holidays. They do not give you credit for the missed classes so you end up paying twice the price and the monthly tuition is pricey to begin with! I called them on this and they said they only allow make-up classes BUT (and here is the kicker) they do not track the make-up classes AND it cannot be applied to your child's future classes for the same time and date AND you have to call them the week before to schedule the class on their availability, not yours. Since my son only takes gymnastics once a week on a certain day and time, it's really hard to find a second day and time in the same week for the makeup classes because all the classes we want are usually taken (weekdays after school and weekend mornings). Since they don't even track make-up classes, it seems like most parents end up not using them anyway. This seems really shady to me. We do like the classes but as a note, please sign up for the months where there are no holidays.

This place is insanely expensive and they keep raising prices every year. A 55 minute class for a 9…read moreyear old is $79 ($317 for 4 classes). Compare that to my $38 SoulCycle class ! When they are closed you still have to pay the whole monthly amount and they offer a make up class instead. It's probably worth the cost if your child wants to become a gymnast in the future but $79 per class to learn how to do a cartwheel is just insane. Unfortunately there is no other gymnastics place nearby and they seem to take full advantage of that.
