The wife and I decided to check it out on a Friday and it's at the k of c (not kfc) and this guy is just whipping up authentic Jamaican (I know because I've had authentic Jamaican) in this rando spot with 1 other person. At 7 there's a line and no more oxtail stew because they sold out at 330. So we get jerk chicken, brown chicken stew, rice and peas, cabbage, fried plantains and a meat pie. See you in 45 min!! So we go to Stewies and get a 4 pack of corona for $7.99 we head back and the line is longer. So we grab the food and it's a whopping $38 bucks. For all that food. Ironically the same price I paid for the sub par chicken parm at Noah's a few days before. So for $45 including the corona's from stewie's, we grab a table and have some tasty ass jerk chicken. And the brown stew was insane. Meat pie? Meat hi!!!! Rice and cabbage spot on. I still struggle with plantains but these were fairly good. But that's because I'm not a plantain fan. Otherwise this is the real deal. No frills insanely tasty and Jamaica spicy. So if you're looking for a cool laid back date night grab some suds from the stewies or maybe a nice rose and dig in. I should've taken some pics...next time.

But for our little family with two impatient toddlers and somewhat more adventurous palates, we soon learned to seek quick, casual, and delicious. And Jamerican offered that. Unfortunately, on the evening we wanted to try it out, it poured, so we returned for lunch the next day. We ordered the jerk chicken meal and the ackee and saltfish meal--which were simply amazing. So flavorful and generously proportioned. The jerk chicken was incredibly tender inside yet crispy on the outside. The seafood was scrumptious as well. The very kind owner even gave our kids a side of. mac and cheese for free. The seating was very cleverly set up next to the food truck with a canopy for sun cover. This was one of the best and most unforgettable meals during our short vacation in Manchester. The food truck is next to a little brook with a trail good for hiking.

The restaurant had some lovely paintings, traditional bags, flowers, and other decorations. We were excited to try some traditional Colombian food, and appreciated the diversity of the menu. We ordered the bandeja tipica and the arroz con Camaro was, which was more than enough for two adults and two toddlers. My favorite was the arroz con camarones, as the yellow rice was wonderfully spiced and flavorful. The shrimp were delicious, and the tostones in both dishes also scrumptious and not too dry. The bandeja tipica's steak was cooked just right, that is to say not overcooked and still tender. The pork belly was too fatty for our taste, but it had a crispy texture and was well-seasoned. For their amount of meat and overall portion, the prices were fair to slightly high. The service was pretty good. We enjoyed our experience, but probably wouldn't go out of our way if we were in the area again.
