No no no.... There are other, more compassionate and understanding crematory businesses that will not make u feel like your a price tag. The entire experience was cold and negative. I felt so bad for my poor mother in law who's husband died the day before. The employee never once said he was sorry for her loss. They even told her that they would not get my father in law from the hospital without a check first. Then to top it all off, they spelled her name wrong. read more

My husband and I were referred to this Funeral Home by the ICU Nurses at the hospital who had recently used them. They took my FIL and treated him with the utmost respect and reverence from beginning to end. They kept in touch and made sure we were updated every step of the process without being overburdened. They were HIGHLY respectable for his VETERAN Status and the fact that we were both veterans, and they wanted everything to be perfect. They met our every need without upcharging us like many funeral homes do. They fulfilled EVERY need without an exorbitant cost. Very reasonable and all services performed with the utmost reverence and compassion for the death of our loved one. It is like dealing with your own family and I can't thank them enough. This is a family run business and is like family to everyone! They know the delicate situation when dealing with the raw emotions that the passing of a loved one brings. They bring dignity and compassion at every turn and are consummate professionals at all times. They helped guide me through the process and when it came time to select a plan, they did not try to upsell me. There was absolutely no pressure and their prices were budget friendly. BEWARE!!! This company lies! When you are at your most vulnerable, they actually lie! It began with a nasty staff member berating hospice, saying they didn't know what they were doing. He said, since Mom had already been picked up, we COULD NOT see her unless we paid a fee! And, he was mean! Then, to beat all, owner swears that it cost $150.00 to send remains to Bushnell, and that nobody makes a dime on this. BULL! I sent the remains, legally, USPS, Priority Overnight, for $30.00. I cannot say enough about michael Stine who was my 1st contact with island Cremations. He was such a gift. I spoke with him on the phone and from the 1st moment I felt his love, care and empathy. He answered so many questions for me that I did not even ask. I was overwhelmed and did not know what we're the right questions and he helped me through it. Dylan I spoke to 2nd who was kind loving and an absolute gift to us all. He saved us thousands of dollars for the cemetery. Paul is a type A like me personality who I appreciate to another level. He kept us grounded, focused and told us of all the different things we needed. He recommended a great flower company, a paralegal and a team of people who made our experience incredibly easy. I'm forever grateful for them. His wife made our sister look beautiful even in a coffin..seriously...who does that? This family owned business is one I will use of the need arises and will recommend. Island Cremations and Funeral Home came highly recommended and for good reason. While my grandmother was in Hospice of St. Francis, I was dealing with a local funeral home in Titusville. The unnamed funeral home quoted me one price but then when I went to sign paperwork it was completely different by almost $5,000 more than what was discussed. That funeral home wasted precious time I could have been spending with my loved one. I then called Island and spoke to Dillon who was extremely patient and texted me back multiple times and days leading up to my loved one's passing. I didn't sign any paperwork until they came to pick up my loved one, I relied on a verbal quote. No bait and switch, they did exactly what they said verbally and actually did better than that even. This wonderful family owned company arranged a beautiful Catholic burial at All Souls Catholic Cemetary in Sanford, took care of all the details with the All Souls Catholic Church and cemetery, and were by far the most responsive and still ended up being the best priced even with transportation to Sanford. You are in very capable, competent, but most importantly compassionate hands with Paul and Dillon. After previously being the executor of estates and arranging funerals in the past, I'm beyond grateful to have met the Mazzoni's. I hope I don't have to use them again anytime soon, but if I do, I will not hesitate to call Paul and Dillon. read more
