As the original representative no longer worked there, we were extremely fortunate to meet with Ms Amorette Miranda who helped to graciously and satisfactorily research and resolve the problem. She worked with the General Manager, Ms Sharon Harvey who allowed the resolution to become a painless transaction. We have tremendous appreciation knowing our children will have no issues upon our passing, that the folks at Dignity Memorial do care about their clients. But how hard would it have been to actually put him in a real casket. I can not stop seeing him in that cardboard box. As a parent it is hard enough. My uncle passed away in Kansas and was cremated. That Mortuary actually set up a room and a real casket with flower and all. I was the only family member that was able to go. So it was all for me. I hope that this helps them think about it and how it makes the ones left feel.

Upon calling back to inform them what happened, June ultimately blamed us for this experience, explaining that they would never sell a damaged product and not apologizing once. On the phone, the funeral director Harvey said he witnessed the cremains being put into a sealed bag and an intact urn, and picked up yesterday. The ashes were not in a bag and were picked up days ago. I would not wish this experience on anyone, nobody should have to pick up the remains of a loved one off the floor due to somebody's negligence.

I felt they phoned it in, and were barely present during a very difficult time in our family's time of grief. The only call I received from them was to receive payment. They also had told us they would send us help for the obituary. We received nothing. They didn't bother to call to tell us that my father's ashes were ready. We ended up having to call them. They also didn't call us to let us know about his death certificates. I'm out of town and was promised that they would send the death certificates via express mail. They didn't. Again, among the many, many other things that we have to deal with, we had to follow up with them instead of getting a phone call to tell us the most basic information and the information we did get - that they'd mail the death certificates- was wrong. We did not contract with them for the funeral services, which I'm really glad at this point that we did not. However, maybe if we spent more money with them, they would've been more responsive. Overall, I would absolutely not recommend this organization and would suggest looking elsewhere when you are faced with the death of a family member.

My father passed away recently, and Beach said and did all the right things the right way. This was the first time I've dealt with a funeral home and it was nothing like the horror stories I've heard about other funeral homes (high pressure, over-selling, over-charging, etc.) Chris, his family and associates treated my mother, our family and friends with the utmost respect. They went out of their way to bring comfort to my mother, and I really appreciate that. Also, this was probably not the usual for Beach with my Dad dying out-of-state and then being buried in yet another state after conducting the local funeral, but they knew what to do and did everything right. I can't say enough about Beach Funeral Home. If you need the services of a funeral home, Beach is the place to go.
