I respect their ability to help grieving families navigate the difficult process of making arrangements for the departed. They are compassionate and very caring. I know I probably talked their ears off but I never felt like they were rushing me or didn't have time for me. They just listened and sometimes that is what grieving people need just people to listen. My husband wanted to walk with his father's casket and Heather said we can do that. She also made some suggestions that my husband liked that we didn't even think of. I had Heather's cell phone number and I could call or text anytime and that was very comforting especially when I would think of a question that I needed to ask. The most devastating time of my life in losing my beloved mother was planning her funeral service. Speaking with Heather and her husband Chris alleviate many of the anxieties. What wonderful people at Compass Pointe. They were exceptional. My Mother's health turned unexpectedly and she passed within 5 days of being put in hospice. I had so many things to take care of that I wasn't prepared for, including cremation. Compass Pointe was recommended by the hospice provider, Vitas, and I couldn't have been more pleased. At a time that is obviously stressful and sometimes overwhelming, Compass Pointe was amazing. They were easy to reach by phone and subsequently by text, their instructions were clear and simple, they told me what were some of the important things I needed to think about and why, the process was easy, and they are very reasonably priced. I dealt primarily with Heather who couldn't have been more wonderful. I flew back to Orlando two weeks later to pick up the ashes and death certificates, as well as to deal with my Mother's estate. When my schedule was severely impacted by flight delays due to a winter storm, Heather made it completely easy for me by coming out to Altamonte Springs and delivering everything to me. She was as wonderful in person as she was over the phone. This is a small family business that felt warm and personal while not being intrusive at what was a very difficult time.
