I just lost my grandmother and Compass Pointe was a HUGE HELP, they made everything so easy for me that I couldn't believe it. We communicate with Chris and Heather by email allowing me to spend all my time with my grandma which I appreciate dearly. They were very informative from day one and honest about pricing which was a relief because it was one thing out of the way. I really appreciate how great they were and how smooth they made this difficult process for me and my family and for that I'll be forever grateful! Definitely, hope to never go through this again but if we do, we will definitely go with Compass Pointe. read more

I found Compass Pointe on Yelp during one of the saddest days of my life. They had great reviews!! Now I know why. Rick. Heather and Chris are phenomenal. They are compassionate, knowledgeable and hard working. The prices are honest, clear and very reasonable. There were paperwork issues regarding my mom with the county. Heather Norton fought for us. That is truly going the extra mile and I am extremely grateful. If one is looking for a funeral service, please give them a call. You will not be disappointed. read more

Heather and Chris of Compass Pointe are both efficient and compassionate people. I respect their ability to help grieving families navigate the difficult process of making arrangements for the departed. Our grandma passed on Sunday and we were able to have her remains ready for her memorial service by the Saturday after (6 days). Her memorial, held at Compass Pointe, was absolutely beautiful. The accommodations were exactly what we needed. It was a completely stress free experience. Losing a loved one is never easy, but Compass Pointe Funeral Services made the aftermath so much more bearable. read more

Heather and I worked together to return a gal from California, visiting Florida, back home for burial. I was impressed with her from the beginning. She explained her tasks and deadlines she was working towards. I explained California's wacky ways and what we will need to bury at this end. In my eyes she was professional...as expected...but she also treated me as a colleague, not a stranger funeral director from another state. I would work with her again any day! read more

The most devastating time of my life in losing my beloved mother was planning her funeral service. Speaking with Heather and her husband Chris alleviate many of the anxieties. The moment I spoke with Heather and arranging the IDviewing, to the cremations process, and finally to her funeral and celebration of life service, Heather and Chris made the whole process bearable. Chris and their son were so organize from parking, refreshments and set up they were so respectful of our grief. I could not have asked for a better place. They were truly amazing. I can't thank you all enough. read more

5+++++++++stars. Compass Pointe helped us to navigate this difficult time. I had to do the arrangements long distance and Heather and her team made it easy for us. They are compassionate and very caring. I know I probably talked their ears off but I never felt like they were rushing me or didn't have time for me. They just listened and sometimes that is what grieving people need just people to listen. My husband wanted to walk with his father's casket and Heather said we can do that. She also made some suggestions that my husband liked that we didn't even think of. I had Heather's cell phone number and I could call or text anytime and that was very comforting especially when I would think of a question that I needed to ask. The arrangements were perfect and everything ran very smoothly. I would definitely recommend Compass Pointe. It's all about the family it isn't about them. Thank you Compass Pointe for taking good care of my father in law and treating him with dignity and respect. We are forever grateful. The Family of Guillermo Cisneros Godoy read more

Here is what I know - you are an absolute angel. The care and love and support you offered our family go far beyond your job. You are one of the kindest, most caring people I've ever met and I'm so grateful for everything you've done for our family. THANK YOU, Heather Norton-Johnston!! You took a horrible, gut wrenching time in our lives and helped to make it bearable. You helped our family rally so that we could honor Terry and offer a memorial that showed him how loved he was. Words will never adequately describe how much we appreciate YOU. It was obvious throughout the process how much you cared about Terry and our family. Thank you for choosing this path in life. You are a blessing. read more

It is never easy when a loved one dies, but even more difficult when it is unexpectedly a young person. Becoming a widow at 40 was not something I was prepared to handle. Heather and Chris guided me through every option and helped me every step of the way. They smoothed this tragic event and made the process easy for me. I felt like I could speak to them like they were family. I appreciate them very much and recommend them 100%. read more

What wonderful people at Compass Pointe. They were exceptional. My Mother's health turned unexpectedly and she passed within 5 days of being put in hospice. I had so many things to take care of that I wasn't prepared for, including cremation. Compass Pointe was recommended by the hospice provider, Vitas, and I couldn't have been more pleased. At a time that is obviously stressful and sometimes overwhelming, Compass Pointe was amazing. They were easy to reach by phone and subsequently by text, their instructions were clear and simple, they told me what were some of the important things I needed to think about and why, the process was easy, and they are very reasonably priced. I dealt primarily with Heather who couldn't have been more wonderful. I flew back to Orlando two weeks later to pick up the ashes and death certificates, as well as to deal with my Mother's estate. When my schedule was severely impacted by flight delays due to a winter storm, Heather made it completely easy for me by coming out to Altamonte Springs and delivering everything to me. She was as wonderful in person as she was over the phone. This is a small family business that felt warm and personal while not being intrusive at what was a very difficult time. I highly recommend them! read more
