**Update to top it off! Came home to find a note still in the box saying to fill the picture frame with some ashes and guess what's not done! This whole experience has been a shit show and someone should not have to go through this after losing a loved one. Absolutely unprofessional and unorganized. They had my Stepfather for 17 days! First excuse was doctor didn't sign the death certificate when I called to check up on the progress. It had already been 9 days since he passed away and no one seemed to notice they are storing a body with no signed death certificate. Then once I started calling everyday it still took another 8 days until he was ready to be picked up and not to mention we told them when we would be coming and he was still not ready as they thought we had the box in which we gave them at the viewing/visitation. No one knows what's going on and they seem not to care one bit! read more

My parents purchased their plans back in 2009, when they were traveling a lot throughout the world. They got it so my brother and I would not have to deal with customs and such. I thought they were crazy but, here we are 12 years later and I have just used both of them. I lost my parents 74 days apart, both at 3am. I immediately called, the phone was answered within 2 rings and a calm, knowledgeable person took my information. My parents were both picked up within 4 hours. I then had the daunting task of paperwork...but I was wrong! The Neptune Team made things so easy and lead me through everything, keeping me informed every step of the way. I cannot imagine going through this without Neptune. My husband and I are purchasing the plans, ourselves so our daughters have an easy process with our deaths. WELL worth the money. My parents purchased the plans for $1,300 each (the price has increased but not dramatically)...a friend had her mother cremated in a basic box and it cost her $2,200!!! I was impressed with the service and their concern for our family's well being. They didn't try and add $$ to the pre-paid arrangements in anyway. The only negative comment is that they could have kept me a little more informed on where we were in the process of the cremation. It did take a little longer than I had thought. But it is all new to me so I didn't really know what to expect. They always were prompt in returning my phone calls. Great organization and staff. My Dad had prepaid for his services and everything went so smoothly and professionally. From the time I called the 800 number and had 2 men who draped my father in an American flag and transported him away; to the staff who reviewed all the necessary paperwork and informed us as to the procedures and a timeline. They also put me in touch with the local American Legion who gave my Dad a full flag ceremony, 21 gun salute and a bugler playing tapes. What more can I say but that I've just prepaid for the services for myself. It's inevitable and why not prepay at today's guaranteed prices and take the stress of it all off of my family's shoulders. read more

This has been a while as i decided whether or not to post this. My dad, who was almost 80, passed away Nov 2018. He was found in his yard approximately 11:30 am. The medics were called and a sheriff's officer responded as well due to him being outside. After medics pronounced, the officer asked me who to call to pick him up. He had no known wishes as who to use, only that he wanted cremation. So I chose Neptune Society in Summerfield, Fl and the officer made the call. 12:30-1 I checked with the officer and he said he was told they had people ahead of us and told me he explained to them that my father was outside in the yard and they assured him they would come as quick as they could. The officer sat and blocked the driveway for 4 hours while waiting. He made a few calls to them with no different results. I find it hard to believe this wasn't handled faster. That was way too long to have a loved one in the yard in that manner. My mother was in the hospital about to be discharged home but due to this she was held an extra day. By the time they picked up my father everyone was at the hospital with my mother except me. It was after 5pm that I made it there to be with the rest of the family. This should have not taken several hours. Even the officer calling a few times explaining the nature and urgency to prioritize this due to him being outside on the ground did not seem to matter. They may have been busy but this was ridiculous. Not only dealing with his death and my mother still in the hospital, but to see him on the ground, outside for over 4 hours, despite the officers plea to come asap! NOT RECOMMENDED! read more

Working with them was a nightmare. Simply unimaginable what we had to go through just to get my dad's ashes back. It took 3 weeks to get the ashes and it was only after contacting the president and ceo of the parent company that owns Neptune did we get ANY service. The reason I was given was that "he was overlooked"...I would have rather been lied to. To think he was just laying there for 3 weeks was heartbreaking and undignified. I did receive a full refund but the agony the process put my 90 year old mom though was unconscionable. Young, incompetent, unprofessional ... don't put your family members through such unimaginable pain. read more
