Michette was short of amazing in helping my family during this time. Efficient, warm, professional are just a few words to describe our experience with Michette. A Community Funeral Home & Sunset Cremations is a beautiful place for your loved one to be viewed. Along with Michette, the staff was a team in coordinating the services. At no point did we feel neglected in any of our needs. We appreciated the amenities such as the kitchen area where my family was able to take a quick break for a coffee. The kid's room is perfect for when your little one becomes restless. Can't forget the spacious and clean bathrooms. Michette, Thank you is not enough for holding our hand through this process. Your attention to detail, with not only funeral arrangements but with our culture, will forever hold a place in my heart. Going above and beyond in honor of my aunt gave a comfort feeling as if you were aligned to be in that position. Titi Angie would have loved everything. No cambies nunca! Cuídate, prima!

I cannot stress enough how fortunate we were to have A Community Funeral Home recommended by a friend. We've required their services twice in the last five years. It's going to be pretty difficult to write this review but I'm so passionate about the experience…read morethat our family received with this business that it simply couldn't wait. The funeral home that we had worked with initially had filled up with other clients and was unable to accommodate our family member on December 30th. We found all of this out just a couple of hours before her passing which added to our stress. We set out to find a new place nearby that could accommodate our needs. After calling 6 other funeral homes we finally got to The Good Life Funeral Home. Brittany answered our call immediately (quite literally first ring). I explained our situation and she offered sympathy and comfort. She walked me through what everything we had planned would be with them and their process. I felt so at ease after talking to her that it really cushioned the blow of our family member passing a couple hours later. Again, we knew this was coming so we had hospice at home who called to pick up our family member. Brittany and Omar showed up at the house almost immediately and greeted me with the warmest welcome you could imagine at a time like that. Being that it was December 30th we were fully prepared to have to wait until after the holiday to do anything. However, since we had to get our family member to Puerto Rico immediately Brittany met us in their office the next day (On a Sunday; New Year's Eve nonetheless). Being in a Latin family of course we brought everyone with us to the consultation. Brittany greeted us again warmly and made everyone feel like they were at home. She was kind and more patient then I would expect anyone to be with that many opinions flying around. She walked us through the funeral home and explained how everything would work. Brittany continued to work behind the scenes to help us sort out all the little details (death certificate, travel itinerary, etc.). At no point did she take a break until it was all said and done. Now we get to the day of the service. We were warmly greeted by Pamela, Sarah and Angela who helped us manage the ceremony that day. They had a beautiful book, prayer cards and everything else set up and ready to go. The funeral home also provides coffee and allows you to bring whatever snack items you'd like. Everyone there that day truly helped make the experience so unique. We had people commenting to us that they had almost forgotten they were at a funeral but felt like they were at someone's home. I especially appreciated the demure approach of managing details behind the scenes. I made them aware that I would be the point of contact for the event. Any time a question needed answering they privately pulled me to the side and no one was the wiser. We liked the prayer cards so much that we asked Angela to make more for us to take for the ceremony in Puerto Rico. She immediately obliged and went way above and beyond for any request we had. The very next day I got a call from Angela to come pick up the death certificates. She was so kind, warm and professional through the whole process, and this was no exception. Fast forward now to transporting our family member home to Puerto Rico. As you can imagine, things on the island are still a mess from the hurricane. The funeral home/cemetery that our family uses as a final resting place is in a remote part of the island. They had to contract another home to store our family member and had a VERY small window in which they could pick her up on January 5th. This presented very unique challenges in getting her to the airport departing Orlando. Initially, there were a lot of issues getting our family member accepted at the airport. Brittany, Sarah and Angela did not let this stand in their way. Upon being denied at the initial time we were quoted, everyone worked with me to figure out the issue and get it addressed. Then, knowing the incredibly tight timeline we had the next day, they went above and beyond to transport our family member to the airport well after the close of business. While this is beyond their job description, they quite literally took every opportunity to ensure this transition home was successful. I have had the unfortunate opportunity to work with several funeral homes in the past. I can say beyond a shadow of a doubt that this experience will forever change my perception of the experience. I can't thank Brittany, Sarah, Angela, Pamela and Omar enough. Should you and your family ever need to find a funeral home to really take care of your loved one don't hesitate to contact The Good Life Funeral Home.
