They really helped us get the most out of our yard. We still can't believe that we were able to fit a 16' by 20' Inground Pool plus a 7' Sun deck for water-chair lounging. They helped us design a beautiful 12' flowerbox feature (along 1-side of the Pool) with stone pedastals on either end to support our magnificent Pentair Lighted-Glass Water Bowls ... and in between them, a 4' Sheer Descent waterfall! They also saved us precious back yard space by installing all of our Pool Equipment in the back corner of our 2-car garage, adjacent to the Pool. We saw more than 7 Pool design companies before making our choice, but Gappsi was the ONLY company that exclusively uses natural stone in their work (instead of cement pavers)... and at a very reasonable price, by comparison. Our goal was to create the look and feel of a 5-star hotel resort, so we surrounded our modern spa-like pool with a creamy-white natural Marble Stone throughout the entire yard and added a crisp sparkling white accent stone around the flowerbox which houses the 4' waterfall & two 24" glass water bowls. They also rebuilt our 2 sets of outdoor steps, re-laid the cement floor in our 2-car garage, put in a dry-well for proper drainage and back-washing, laid beautiful natural blue limestone down our entire 60-foot driveway as well as in front our our 2-car Garage and BBQ area. Our driveway was edged with a beautiful large Belgian Block to give it all a crisp & pristine finished look. Finally, they surrounded 2 sides of our pool with beautiful 6' tall Arbourvides to complete the serine Spa-like atmosphere. This stunning Pool and backyard surround continie to blow our family & friends away, every time they visit! And, with the added LED Color Lighing in & around the Pool, House & Garage, and including the amazing outdoor sound-system we installed ... we truly feel like we are always on vacation at a luxurious 5-star vaction resort, and all within a few short steps from our home!! I had a few other companies come and give estimates but they were lacking in the design area. Devin and his team really impressed me with their professionalism, creativity, and respect for my property. I did not have to chase them as to when they would be showing up as I have with other contractors. His estimate was very detailed and was easy to understand with breakdown and description. His 3D rendering was extremely impressive and really was representative of what he was able to create. Dan was present every single day to get the men set up and to do a check-in with me to make sure I was happy with the process from start to finish. Each day the crew left my property neat, never leaving garbage behind, and were very mindful to never leave my gates open due to me having 2 dogs. As for the work... I was unsure what I wanted exactly but knew I didn't want a cookie cutter yard like most of Long Island. Dan and Devin both worked with me to pick out the perfect colors and showed me how to best utilize the space I have. With landscaping, they were able to give me more privacy and brighten up my entire yard with beautiful perennials. The hot tub area they created with an outdoor television and pergola will definitely be used all year round. The outdoor BBQ and bar area will be the highlight of my outdoor parties! My favorite touch though was the beautiful pool and surrounding stone with an automatic pool cover which means I don't have to worry about my pups accidentally falling in when I'm not outside with them. Based on Yelp reviews we then called Devin from Flawless Masonry & Landscape who told us a circular driveway was absolutely doable! We were so impressed with Devin's design skills (including clear scaled digitized plans) and experience that we hired him on the spot. Plus Flawless's pricing was lower than other quotes we got. Icing on the cake. Then the pandemic hit so the job was delayed (NY orders), but Flawless came through after re-opening and did a superb job for us. The new driveway is both beautiful and functional, even our crabby neighbors like it! It was a big job but Flawless's skilled and friendly crew managed to finish in a week.
