We rented 3 jet skis on July 24th from Bull and his crew. Customer service was A+ from the entire team. We were guided out to the open water and shown the perimeters to ski within. I called months before to reserve a boat. I talked to the guy running the operation. I told him I wanted a nice boat to rent for a week. He sent pictures of good looking boats and assured me that boats were in great condition and some were demo boats. The boats here were more expensive than others in the area. I did not mind paying extra for a nice looking newer boat instead of an old beat up looking rental boat. they wanted payment in full at the time of my reservation but I would only pay them half. When we arrived to pick up the boat of course it was not the same boat seen in the pictures and was beat up and very rough condition. This boat could be rented at other local boat rental for much less. I told the salesman that I was not interested in that boat. I left and called him later to request my deposit back. He said that there is no refunds on deposits($1,800.00). He also explained that it took time to launch the boat. I told him I would be willing to pay for his time. He said he would get back to me. Later he called and asked if I would like to go look at some other boats he had at a storage area. I explained to him that I had already felt misled and did not want to waste a day of my vacation driving around with him. I requested My deposit back and he said he would talk to his manager. I ended up being 10mins late. The owner desires to keep entire $300 deposit. I did offer to meet him halfway but he wanted to make example for his employees. His words. Great place. We rented Jet Ski's and we had a blast !!! Brian was very patient in explaining the boaters license test. We had an area of free range to ride on the Atlantic Ocean side. He explained all the safety rules described the landmarks very well.. best part is he took us to our riding area and that's when our time started ! This place is great. I've rented from them twice, and have left a happy customer both times. They are very dog friendly, and they were very people friendly too! Great rates, great people. They provided a map, a doggy water bowl and some great tips. We even kept the boat out over an hour late and they didn't even mention it, though it was July 4th and I'm sure it caused them some inconvenience. Just make sure to ask for a radio on the boat as some of their vessels do not have them. Oh and lastly, my boyfriend's wallet fell at some point in our journey and some debit cards/insurance cards got left in the boat. They called the next morning and send them right out to us at no cost. Not sure what the other reviewer was talking about, maybe the guy he dealt with was a bad apple... I had nothing but happy, helpful people assist my group. read more

There are plenty of jet ski rental places in/near islamorada - skip this place. We were looking for a place to rent jet skis for when we had visitors in town. We walked down to this place because it is our local joint and were blown away at how insulting a human being could be. How they can hire someone who lacks common decency (maybe he can tune up a sail boat keel or something). Long story short, we asked the hourly rate for the jet skis. "95 dollars an hour" he said, in an awful tone, as if he was sitting on a broken bottle. I asked if there was a daily rate "nnniiiinnnntttyyyy fffiiiivvvvveeeee dooolllllllars an hour", in the most insulting tone possible. I walked home chuckling and looked up another place with rentals for when company is in town. Saved some money too. I wish I could comment on how fast the jet skis were and everything, but I never made it past the meet and greet. read more

Worse company in florida they stolen your money charge 500$ dollar for small scratch in the jet ski they never do the estimate and never call you back for follow up,be carefull people dont go there. I hope this helps you as a consumer and I'll try to sum it up quickly! This company lacks any pride in their fleet and will try to take advantage of the consumer at any chance they get. First, their boats are unsafe and not equipped with proper equipment (beat up hulls, dented props, boats won't run on plane, horrible dock lines, ripped anchor line, no working gps, no working vhf, bimini tops are ripped, etc.. everything is a scam and they will try to have you sign a contract before seeing your rental). Second, they will try to overcharge you so beware and stay away (they attempted to more than double our rental rate and were unsuccessful). Next, they are extremely unprofessional (other companies will give you maps, take you on a test ride, and make sure you are conifident and comfortable with their product). Additionally, our boat was so awful and unsafe we returned it promptly. Yes, we were promised a refund from Timi which never happened. She acted like she forgot and never got back to us, nor did the owner as was promised, another lie and scam. I could go on and on about the problems and dishonesty with this company. Do yourself and your friends/family a favor and STAY AWAY from Islamorada Watersports. There are many other companies in the area with great reputations and who will make sure you have an excellent experience. We were lucky enough to work with two other great companies for the rest of our week and had an amazing time on the water. I'm sure all these honest reviews will impact this company and hopefully one day in the future they will get their act together.
