Well, I quickly realized it is overwhelming, stressful, hectic, and things change so often! Time and time again I would tell my husband how glad I was we had decided to hire Treasured Heart Events. I was fortunate enough to work with Ashlee and she was AMAZING from start to finish. :) I still remember our first phone meeting with her. I expressed all of our concerns with budget, guest count, and so on, and Ashlee listened and addressed all of my concerns. After our conversation, she sent over affordable package options. We decided to pick the month of and design. Ashlee created a design board for us and a budget list (not part of our package). She consistently answered emails in a timely manner and was so helpful! As we all know COVID has been around since March and we unfortunately still had to deal with it in July! There were SEVERAL times I would panic and want to stress cry, but I would send Ashlee an email instead and she would seriously just make EVERYTHING better! It was so nice having someone being positive during such negative times. Well, fast-forward to the month of the wedding and Ashlee, again, on top of things and handling all of the frequent changes with exceptional professionalism. The day of the wedding went so smooth thanks to her and her team. You would not believe how organized, prepared, and helpful her team was! From making sure the decorations were set at the right place to providing eye lash glue, they were ready for it! If you're looking for a wedding planner and don't know if it's for you, JUST DO IT! lol! There are so many things you don't think of, but they do and it helps you enjoy your day more. It was a rainy night so we couldn't enjoy the patio as much but the inside was quite spacious. They had room for two bars, multiple tables (which sat about 150 people), space for a band and a dance floor. It's definitely a venue to check out for hosting events, weddings, luncheons, parties, etc. We didn't handle any of the planning or coordination for the party but everything seemed to be going smoothly. Because of Katie, Steve and I were able to focus on enjoying our wedding day and everything that truly matters at the end of the day. We met Katie about 6 months before our wedding to discuss her services and she was absolutely wonderful from the start. About a month and a half before our wedding Katie had us fill out an incredibly detailed questionnaire which she used to execute everything from coordinating vendors and logistics prior to our wedding day and run our big day. Shortly after I filled out the questionnaire Katie met our venue representative and I to go over all of the logistics of the day and the information she gathered from us was so helpful during that meeting. I was so grateful to have Katie at that meeting because she helped me answer questions and think of things that I would never think of on my own. She is extremely organized and made everything that we dreamed of happen. Katie was a huge part of making our special day run so smooth and I am so grateful for her. But any planner can do that. What set her apart for me is her personality. We've had a meeting stretch to four hours and it didn't even seem like it. We got to talking about mediocre djs, dumplings, and single men. Lol. She is like a friend you can talk to instead of someone you hired. Also, and this is crucial, she will make things happen. What I got was NOT DJ Smooth B, but someone else entirely. Dressed casual for my formal event, announced us incorrectly- even mispronouncing my name twice, did not play the correct music for cocktail hour, did not know the songs to play for specific things like the cake cutting, didn't announce a single thing- including the toast and cake cutting. To top it all off, there was NO Dancing on a Cloud or Cold Sparks. The DJ had absolutely no idea that we were supposed to have those things, and he couldn't get a hold of anyone to tell him why it was missing. I never heard from Any Event regarding what was missing. I had to call them about it the next day. I was told the guy who had the effects was in a car accident on the way to my wedding and that's why we didn't get the effects. Later that week, after numerous calls and emails with no response, Brodrick answered and told me the guy died, and he was dealing with that and would refund me eventually. It never happened. It has been over a year now with zero refund and nothing but lies and lies and more lies from both Brodrick and his assistant. My wedding was beautiful without the DJ fiasco, but it was definitely not what it could have been. I would NEVER hire this company again. I would suggest you use your own playlist on your phone before giving them the time of day.
