I watched on the camera app (which is very grainy and has no sound) and the teachers would literally just ignore him. There's no cameras outside and I had enough of this place when I surprise picked him up and he was sitting outside in the heat next to the door scream crying and no one was paying him any attention. They said he had been crying the whole time. I literally can't believe it. Pick him up! Nurture him! Help him feel safe! Instead they took away his stuffed animal puppy and just let him cry. Sending my 18 month old boy to this place is my biggest regret as a parent so far.

While I already held several certifications, I was there to update and exceed my prior knowledge and abilities. I was offered the opportunity to update the very entry level certifications as I began my tenure. I was already preparing the mock-lecture I would need to submit as a teaching candidate. Then this opportunity was snatched away with the send-off that I was unqualified. When I inquired further, I was summarily dismissed and told to come back when I had completed the qualification. I later discovered, by speaking directly to the hire, that the job was given to a white student. I cordially asked him to share his experience. He detailed the exact certifications I was told I needed, and had held for years. Finally, I asked this man, fresh into the industry and confronting the certifications for the 1st time, if he already had his certifications. To which he replied that he was allowed to complete them after taking the job. Naturally I saved every record of this interaction. This company is a bullshit organization, which, in addition to apparently being populated by racists, has no problem failing its promises in supporting a student, contrary to what was stated as their supporting role in my education. Calls and emails that went unanswered for weeks, repeated inquiries left unresolved with no follow-up, people who support you leaving the company with no announcement or handoff of the students they support, and their issues, to other staff .... But if half of what's claimed in the self-congratulatory jerk-circle on LinkedIn is true, then one bad review shouldn't matter anyway. Clearly the possibility of a bad report was not of importance when I needed aid.

She is happy going to the Backyard Day Hab, personnel are awesome, and she always tells me what she did while at the day hab. She used to go to another facility, but there were too many clients, and she would say there was too much drama. In essence to this I changed her to the Backyard Day Hab, and she loves it. Although it is not a big facility it works just fine for my daughter needs. They have enough staff to take care after all the clients and no drama as my daughter says. Ms. Pat Meadors is the director, and she is great, loving person. She will be truly missed since she is retiring this week. We wish her all the best on her next chapter in life as a retiree. The most exciting part is my son has made amazing progress. He's using words more, he's become comfortable in a classroom situation & participates. His outside speech teacher is amazed by him too. Once he went back to school I had tried to cancel in late July only to be persuaded to pause for a month to see if he still would need services. I asked his teachers and they said he made great progress, but additional services would not likely be needed, especially since they cost $250/mo! I went on their site to see how to cancel online and it lead me to deleting my account since the link it says to go to to cancel just has information on how to pause or change your current account. When trying to delete your account is a 2 month process, no matter how good the services are, I cannot in good conscience recommend them. Do better Varsity Tutors, do better
