I went through homelessness, DV, my computers, I pads stolen... they provided me with a computer (Thanks miss Jean in the library)! Stacy, from Human Affairs... Nothing that can't happen! I needed a ride from the neighborhood I loved in to school. Hitched a ride with a classmate! All it took was some prayers and an email! Not to mention! She has the BEST PLANTS IVE EVER SEEN! A MUST SEE! Andrea Anyubeana, there isn't anything he won't do to help you succeed, you come across troubles in your studies, he's your man! Someone told me he's leaving Concorde, that's a shame as well! He's smart, works around ANY obstacles, and cares about the success of the students first and foremost! He's quick to fix his mistakes and come to you when he's made one. I don't know ANYONE that can carry the load of 3 different jobs as a director like he did! He should have put a cot in his office lol! Angela Ortiz! Hands DOWN! The BEST Instructor anyone can ask for! She had so much patience for the new people coming in, figuring it out, broke down vocabulary from medical terminology to laments terms, there was NEVER a stupid question in her classroom. She NEVER treated anyone ignorant or talked down on anyone. We had questions, she was quick to break down the answer. There was NEVER the answer "because that's how it is".... Other instructors there, I didn't receive the same experience. It's a shame it was her last class! She's AMAZING! Makes the best strawberry cake around y'all! Nancy Garcia !!!! Thanks for making my dreams come true! Giving me the grace and allowing me to present myself and be nothing else! And telling me it's a beautiful thing who I am and what I've done to change my life and make it better. Telling me my smile and spunk lights up the room! To NEVER LOOSE THAT! Giving me the courage to do things I NEVER thought would happen! To calmly draw blood is truly an art! You instructed me, guided me when I screwed up, and NEVER made me feel inadequate or told me I'll NEVER get it. Encouraging words and constructive criticism in such a way that was receivable and helpful. You're a beautiful representation of how a guidance counselor should be! You supersede it actually! Live your dreams lady! Keep it up as well! Thanks to all of you who supported my dreams and the life long legacy I will carry as long as I live! I love what I do and who I've become today! Concorde made it possible... all of it!

But my experience here was not what I expected. The teachers were pretty cool but other than that the rest was just a pure mess! Too short and too fast, little amount of students, and no information about nothing what's so ever! No exam prepping, no information on how or when to take the exam. I had to figure everything out for myself and to be paying almost $1,500 out of pocket the school should done a better job to ensure that the students are well prepared, even as short as 2 months. Without my knowledge as a medical assistant I could say with confidence that I would not have been confident working in the healthcare field with just these 2 months of education for a phlebotomist tech. I do not recommend if this is your first step into healthcare!

If you're debating on coming here don't think about it... just DO IT! You won't regret it. DO NOT GO TO SCI-TX. I took HVAC there and that school is terrible. While I already held several certifications, I was there to update and exceed my prior knowledge and abilities. I was offered the opportunity to update the very entry level certifications as I began my tenure. I was already preparing the mock-lecture I would need to submit as a teaching candidate. Then this opportunity was snatched away with the send-off that I was unqualified. When I inquired further, I was summarily dismissed and told to come back when I had completed the qualification. I later discovered, by speaking directly to the hire, that the job was given to a white student. I cordially asked him to share his experience. He detailed the exact certifications I was told I needed, and had held for years. Finally, I asked this man, fresh into the industry and confronting the certifications for the 1st time, if he already had his certifications. To which he replied that he was allowed to complete them after taking the job. Naturally I saved every record of this interaction. This company is a bullshit organization, which, in addition to apparently being populated by racists, has no problem failing its promises in supporting a student, contrary to what was stated as their supporting role in my education. Calls and emails that went unanswered for weeks, repeated inquiries left unresolved with no follow-up, people who support you leaving the company with no announcement or handoff of the students they support, and their issues, to other staff .... But if half of what's claimed in the self-congratulatory jerk-circle on LinkedIn is true, then one bad review shouldn't matter anyway. Clearly the possibility of a bad report was not of importance when I needed aid.

Areej and Dabin were extremely helpful in guiding me through the student enrollment process. They were both friendly and informative and had the ability to answer all of my questions on the spot offering insight that this school was in fact the right decision for me. I felt extremely blessed to have Ms. D (Damaris) and Ms. Jeimy as my educators. Ms. D, my theory instructor was fun, informative and truly understands how people learn. By combining personal attention, inspirational teaching and a detailed course, I felt highly motivated in my confidence and desire to learn and grow. Ms. Jeimy was my technique instructor and worked along side me with a harmonious teaching style. She was extremely patient, informative and encouraged both my performance and confidence. Both of these instructors bring their passion, skills and real world experience with them to the classroom, focusing on passing their knowledge to their students. Thank you so much, I am forever grateful to you both! I also had the pleasure of getting to know Veronica and Sarah. Both enhancing the school with their positivity and kindness. I also want to give a special thanks to Ms. Sylvia who is the director of this school. She has gone above and beyond to assist me throughout my time during school and continues to do so even after graduating. The best schools not only offer great classes and teachers, but they also provide an abundant amount of support and guidance long after their educational program. Ms. Sylvia is a perfect example of this. To anyone who is interested in gaining the best education in an environment that feels like home, ALAI is the school for you!

They also do other facial treatments with laser machines; hair and tattoo removal; cosmetic beauty treatments like makeup tattoos, microblading, lash extensions... and many other medical spa services. All of it is pretty new to me, I just signed up for a basic facial. Anyhow, I think it's really cool there is an aesthetics vocational institute like this in San Antonio. They are fairly new in San Antonio, established in 2019. Everyone I met was super nice and seemed knowledgeable. So if you're interested in their professional training or to sign up for a treatment, check them out.

Starting something new can be intimidating, but the staff does a great job of making you feel like you actually belong there--not just another name on a roster. The instructors are hands-on and seem genuinely invested in helping students succeed, not just pass. You can tell they want you to get it, not just memorize it. What stood out most was the focus on real-world preparation. It's not just theory--you're actually learning skills you can use, which makes a huge difference. Is it fast-paced? Yes. Will you need to stay focused? Absolutely. But if you're serious about leveling up and creating opportunities for yourself, this is the kind of place that can help you do it.

My husband (Mr. Burch) was fired today without any warning or explanation he has worked for this…read morecompany for several years and didn't deserve this at all!!!! They told him a conduct violation but my husband is a by the rules kind of guy and if anything he is a workaholic. He actually cares about the students and has been told by most of them that they were so glad he was teaching them because he actually taught when some of the instructors were breaking rules and would just put on YouTube the entire class time not my husband. Not only that but he would work the majority of time way past his required time to work just so he would have his work done for his bosses and his students. My husband was telling me this is possibly wrongful retaliation because he wanted better systems in place for the students and their success and because he disagreed with another higher up, mind you respectfully. They decided this underhanded, corrupt and vindictive decision was the best way to deal with it. But that's ok because what goes around comes around it's called Karma and one day everyone gets theirs, and yes I'm talking directly to you who had a part to play in this decision. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow but one day Karma will pay you a visit and you know what? We will pray that she has mercy on you just because that is the kind of people we are. How can you people do this to people who are already living paycheck to paycheck and barely getting by on wrongful grounds??!! What I can tell students past and present who have respect for my husband is continue to do well he would want that. As for me I would personally tell you to protest his firing after all I'm not affiliated with the school in any way and last time I checked a large group of individuals protesting can make a change. Also, students be careful with this school I suggest you look into the civil lawsuits they have been in for San Antonio. Including other lawsuits they have been in just type in their name and put litigation history. I know of 3 of the top of my head in 10 years. If you are looking for employment, trust me don't apply here they have overworked my husband for many years now and the effort and time put in by the employees is just not worth it in the end. This isn't the first time I have heard of people from his work being fired for reasons that just are flat out stupid and are straight up wrongful termination as well as them not wanting to pay people for time worked. So in my opinion as a graduate of A&M university with a Bachelor's in science and a minor in psychology, who also held a scholarship from the dean of science at A&M(TRANCHE), find somewhere else to go to school and to work. Avoid this place at all cost because if they have already had three litigation suits against them there are only going to be more that directly affect the students and the staff. They obviously don't support military with the way they have treated my husband who is a retired Navy vet who was honorably discharged .
