ACI Learning offered me a job as an instructor as I was progressing through their program. I was…read morethrilled. While I already held several certifications, I was there to update and exceed my prior knowledge and abilities. I was offered the opportunity to update the very entry level certifications as I began my tenure. I was already preparing the mock-lecture I would need to submit as a teaching candidate. Then this opportunity was snatched away with the send-off that I was unqualified. When I inquired further, I was summarily dismissed and told to come back when I had completed the qualification. I later discovered, by speaking directly to the hire, that the job was given to a white student. I cordially asked him to share his experience. He detailed the exact certifications I was told I needed, and had held for years. Finally, I asked this man, fresh into the industry and confronting the certifications for the 1st time, if he already had his certifications. To which he replied that he was allowed to complete them after taking the job. Naturally I saved every record of this interaction. This company is a bullshit organization, which, in addition to apparently being populated by racists, has no problem failing its promises in supporting a student, contrary to what was stated as their supporting role in my education. Calls and emails that went unanswered for weeks, repeated inquiries left unresolved with no follow-up, people who support you leaving the company with no announcement or handoff of the students they support, and their issues, to other staff .... But if half of what's claimed in the self-congratulatory jerk-circle on LinkedIn is true, then one bad review shouldn't matter anyway. Clearly the possibility of a bad report was not of importance when I needed aid.

Other than website issues, I would recommend becoming a student here.

I have had nothing but positive experiences with the staff at Aqua-Tots. They are super flexible…read moreabout make-ups and reschedules, they genuinely care about the kids, and their lessons work. My daughter just free-swam for the first time after 6 months of lessons and she was SOO proud of herself for it (4 years old). Pros: -Staff is amazing. They know my kids by name and greet them. -They help out all of the time. I often come with just my kids and no wife to help get the kids ready and the staff has always been supportive and helpful as I flail trying to get them both ready at the same time. -They have candy for the kids. -The coaches are well trained and super friendly. -Their facility is always super clean. Cons (with personal rebuttals) - high turnover of instructors. It happens. My kiddos have had 3-4 different coaches over 6 months. Rebuttal, my kids didn't care. They also have a skill continuity log for each child so when they get a new coach, they know exactly what to work on for each child. -cost. It is a bit pricey. Especially with multiple children. Rebuttal, you can't find anything cheaper that is also reputable...especially in winter months. As I said, my daughter went from no swimming to completely independent swimming after 6 months, so it works and I am very happy with the investment.

With amazing swim instructors that are with your little one every step of the way, it's no wonder…read morethis place is popular! I enrolled my now 1.5 year old into their swim program(she started when she maybe 8 months old?) just so she can be comfortable being in the water and know how to survive essentially and she loves it (for the most part haha) We go every once a week to bring more awareness to water and learn to be safe around any sort of body of water! Scheduling is super easy and the staff there is ALWAYS amazing and helpful! I enjoy seeing the usual people there always positive and joyful always! - shout out to Dylan, Julia, Isabella, Eduardo and Brooke for being Lily's usual rotation of instructors to keep things pretty consistent for her! We love Aqua Tots! I can only hope for one day that my son will cave in and join in on the fun of learning how to swim as well!
