We are a retired military family that homeschools and was just hoping for extra help. Well seems like you have to be in a certain tax bracket to get help. Truly sad. My kid loves it, and always talks about how much fun she had with Terri and Katie and Lourdes each time she comes home from school. All the teachers and staff there are amazing and keep you up to informed. Katie is one of my favorites, and keep us "in the know" with out us even asking. Wendy and Jo do an amazing job behind the scenes. I love that I get weekly emails about everything that's going on at the school and her class. If you are looking for a great school to call home ACORN is the place! They do have a wait list and going on a tour is a must. I recommend going online and check dates for the open house or call.

Daily event Each morning when we drop my son off, there is very few staff that have arrived to work. Because of this all of the children are blended in to one room. I have personally witnessed on multiple occasions at least 25 children to one overwhelmed looking "caregiver". I have also seen this towards the end of the day with 12 to 15 children and just one "caregiver". Event 1 My son came home with the worst diaper rash that I've ever seen on any of my children despite my wife and I's efforts to mitigate it as we saw it getting worse. Each time we would check him we discovered that he was always in someone else's diaper (not the ones we send) and that the inside of his cheeks weren't clean from prior movements. We then discovered that they don't have a changing table and thus they change my son standing up. Event 2 My wife picked up my son from daycare one evening, and he was sitting in the corner by himself, and appeared to be eating. He didn't immediately run to her which was odd so she asked the "caregiver" if he was eating. The "caregiver" replied, "yeah I think he's eating Play-Doh" my wife asked her why she would knowingly let a child eat Play-Doh as she took it away from my son and the "caregiver" responded, " Oh, I think he just put it in his mouth". my wife immediately went to the lady that sits in the front desk, her boss, and had the same conversation with her and to my wife's disbelief. The lady replied all of our " oh, the teacher probably knew it was nontoxic but I'll tell her that we don't encourage Play-doh eating" My wife explained that we do not want our son eating Play-Doh and ended the conversation. Event 3 We picked up my son with a scratch that went over his eye from the eyebrow down to under his eye and his entire side of his face bright red like he had been hit in the face (he's 2). He was telling us someone hit him. The "caregivers" had no idea how it happened nor did we get a call about what happened. Later that evening we see the report that said something along the the lines of he was scratched by a friend. This was it nothing more no call no nothing. Event 4 Tonight we picked up my son covered in Paint. His brand new shoes were covered. His shirt was covered, and his pants were covered. Everything about this tells me they're not watching my kid. Sending my child to a daycare that cost about $1200 a month should not result in me spending additional money to replace my children's clothing. Each evening when we pick up our son, he's not even being watched the "caregivers" seem to be more preoccupied with cleaning up the place so that they can go home then they are watching our children. Although I cannot speak to fact, for all hours of the day, I can speak to what I've personally seen. The place appears to be severely understaffed and the "caregivers" Appear to be damn near children themselves (very young adults). my wife and I are tired of it and even if this place was free I wouldn't send my child here. we will be pulling my son out in the coming weeks as a result of everything listed above.

It's so hard for a new parent to entrust what initially amounts to a building full of strangers with your most fragile family member, but now after over a year and having watched our child progress through rooms 1, 2, 3, and now 4 I can say that it feels more like a second home than a day care facility. Everyone knows our son by name, the leadership is always front and center and quick to respond to any concerns. It's just a warm and welcoming place where your child will learn, grow and be cared for.

After waiting less then 5 minutes they called me and the counselor really went through all the things I needed to know as well as showing me all the details on the computer screen . San Antonio Christian Schools (SACS) was once a wonderful school, but sadly, that is no longer the…read morecase. As a parent who invested more than 10 years with multiple children at SACS, I cannot recommend the school today primarily for three reasons. First, tuition has increased significantly in recent years, yet the quality of education has not kept pace. While there are still pockets of excellent teachers who truly love their students and inspire them, these are the exception rather than the rule. For the tuition and additional fees being charged, the academics and overall experience simply do not measure up. Second, the administration is inconsistent, plays favorites and encourages gender discrimination. Certain families and students receive preferential treatment, while others are held to a different standard. Additionally, certain events are marketed based on gender, intentionally excluding the opposite gender. Instead of upholding fairness, the administration regularly chooses self preservation, politics and favoritism. Third, SACS does not partner with parents. Although the school claims it values collaboration, the reality is when parents raise legitimate concerns or attempt to hold leadership accountable, they are quickly silenced. There has been incidents of misconduct by staff towards students as well as sexual harassment claims against a high level administrative staff member, and in all circumstances, claims have been swept under the rug. Staff members that challenge decisions are fired. Families who question decisions or speak out are often placed on a "blacklist". Families, including those with children in good academic and behavioral standing, are prevented from re-enrolling or denied readmission. The message is clear: conform and be silent or get out. In short, SACS today reflects hypocrisy rather than true Christian values. The school promotes itself as providing a faith-based, high-quality education, but the reality is very different. Tuition is too high for what families actually receive, the environment is political and unfair, and the administration does not respect parents as partners in their children's education. If you are considering enrolling your child at SACS, my advice is to look elsewhere. Save your money for a school that offers genuine Christian values, quality academics, integrity, and displays respect for both students and their families.
