My mom was looking to do a perm and it seems like many salons aren't doing it anymore. I called to check and the owner was very kind and accommodating. Although this was our first time here and I didnt have my hair done, I was happy to see she definitely knew what she was doing and my mom was very happy with the results. There were 2 other customers, and they were happy with their hair to say the least. Also, the salon is nice and clean, 2 important things for us. I'll be back again, next time for me :) Estoy contenta de haber encontrado este salon.

As for my hair, I had a weave and I'm used to the old fashioned Dominican salons where you get roller sets under a hot dryer, however they have one sit under, I figured was ok since most people were getting wet blow outs. The stylist insisted I did the wet blow out since it's quicker and I agreed. The second time I made an appointment and the stylist cancelled since her child was sick. Of course I understood and rescheduled. On the day I rescheduled I was running a little behind because I had to drop my daughter off and texted her. When I walked into the salon there was no greeting and she said she didn't have time to roller set. I figured since the same courtesy was given to her it could be given to me, but that was not reciprocated. Given the attitude and the fact that she couldn't do a roller set, which actually would have saved her time, I immediately walked the heck out.

It is very curly because duhhhhh we have west African roots but the chemical was never needed when the heat was already going to be applied - in my case the woman doing my hair blow dried it straight and thought she was done until I asked for a flat iron: that's how FINE my hair is. My hair has been super straight for the last 2 months because I accepted the deep conditioner and was not aware it had keratin in it. My curls are slowly coming back but its really annoying that I can't wash and go anymore because of the chemical application. I honestly am kind of sad. I would go back but I would decline the deep conditioner 100% The woman who did my hair was not cuban so maybe she doesn't know much about our hair but she was Dominican and I think she did a GREAT job on my hair otherwise (outside of the keratin).

The last visit was the final straw AFTER i handed her a tip off of courtesy $170 for WHAT exactly? No curls, no style, nothing special. Just vibes and audacity. And the excuse? My clip-ins were "damp." Mind you, she literally used MY rubber bands to install them. No professionalism, no consistency, just random upcharges pulled out of thin air.
