Hello everyone! Well if you are reading this it means you are researching and possibly looking for a reliable roofing contractor right? Well have no fear Nelson is here to give it to you straight, no fluff just the facts. So I found myself exactly where you are not so long ago, and as most of us know finding reliable contractors in South Florida is like rolling the dice. I did quite a bit of homework and ultimately decided on working with ISAACS roofing. You may be saying, why? Good question.... Well, during my research I found that the majority of people who have used them had a great experience. They have also been working in the South Florida area for many years and have done quite a bit of work in my area which helps as they are familiar with the ins and outs of the local building departments. Additionally, when they came out to the house they were on time, prepared and gave me a number of options to redo my flat roof, one of which was not offered by a number of other roofers, which would be a mechanically attached TPO roof, which is ultimately what I chose for my flat roof replacement. While getting the agreement dialed in, communication was excellent and after a few weeks we signed a contract, gave a deposit and we were off to the races. Permitting process was painless and easy as well. Things were a little slow due to the holidays but I was in no rush. Once the permit was issued, scheduling started and that is where they really showed their willingness to work with their customers. I had a few other contractors that needed to get some work done at the same time the roof was being replaced and Stan Saruski the project manager for the roofer handled it with extreme professionalism. I obviously played a big role in planning out the job with Stan but together we decided on a date, got everything lined up and dialed in. Prior to the project start date ( a couple of days prior), Stan's team started staging equipment, dropping off materials and laying the stage for what would end up being a masterclass in roof replacement. The day of the project, an army of ISAACS employees, not subcontractors, showed up at the house at 8 AM and got straight to business. Truthfully, it was absolutely amazing to watch these pros do their thing with no hesitation or confusion. It was a well oiled machine that was in sync and getting it done. Add in my contractors that were also on point knocking out their items as well, and it really was an interesting sight to see. This is where working with real pros and a great project manager makes all the difference in the world. Yes, you are going to possibly pay a little more than the less experienced outfits but when you are spending $22 - $26K on a roof, you really want to go with one of the best and ISAACS Roofing fits the bill in all areas. I really cannot recommend them enough. Everything went as we had discussed and any unanticipated additional items that came up while the work was going on where addressed and we squared up afterwards. So if you are looking to put a new roof on your house or maybe on your commercial property or anything in between, look no further. I called Isaac's roofing because I found a roof leak with all the rain we had. They immediately got me in for an evaluation. They explained where the leak was at and what needed to be done to repair it. I was extremely concerned regarding water continuing to get in. Fortunately, they were able to squeeze me in for the repair. The guys showed up in a company vehicle. Very professional. They are licensed and insured. Materials used to repair were high quality materials made in the USA. They took pictures of everything every step of the way so I could see exactly what took place. I live in a two story townhome. I was told they would need to replace tiles if any broke when they removed them. Not one broken tile. All my original tiles were completely intact and sealed back in place after the repairs. Very happy as our exact tiles are obsolete now. Workmanship was incredible!!! I had numerous conversations with both Peter and Abigail with questions and reassurance of the problem being resolved. Very professional and accommodating as well as understanding the stress I was feeling about the situation. I give this company a 5 star plus rating. Highly recommend them. I have already referred them to several neighbors. If you have any roofing issues, I would definitely reach out to this company for support. When the time comes for us to replace our roof, this will definitely be the company we will be hiring. I hired Isaacs Roofing to replace my shingle roof and clean and patch my flat roof area with silicone sealant. Peter came and gave me an estimate within a few days and answered my questions and concerns with a great attitude and patience. The crew that did the reroofing headed by Stan Saruski was excellent. They worked efficiently and even did their best to contain the roof removal debris much better than I expected. I noticed that they seemed to be a cohesive team and obviously worked together often, each person knowing their part in the process. I would recommend this company very highly to anyone who values a job well done, with attention to detail right to final clean-up and inspection. I recently hired Issacs Roofing to install my metal roof. Reliability, professionalism and efficiency seem to be a lost art, but my faith has been restored after receiving the most amazing service from Issacs Roofing. Every single person involved in my roof replacement project, from the incredible owner, to the crew who showed up on time and worked so incredibly hard to ensure a smooth and quick project, was a pleasure to work with. My new beautiful metal roof was installed at rocket speed.The entire process was stress-free and seamless. I endured zero hassles and experienced nothing but professionalism, integrity, great communication and efficiency at every turn. We signed a re-roofing contract on April 5, 2018 and gave Isaacs' representative, Jorge Maldonado, a deposit of $4,000.00 Mr. Maldonado stated the entire process (acquisition of permit, roof replacement, and roof inspection) would take no more than six weeks from date of contract... barring any weather incumbencies. On May 24, 2018, (seven weeks later), I initiated a phone call to the office and spoke to "Claudia". (Isaacs Roofing had not communicated with us to date). Miraculously, during this phone call that I initiated, "Claudia" stated the supplies were going to be dropped off the following day, Friday May 25, 2018, and she stated said supplies would be left on the roof. Claudia further stated it would be no more than two additional weeks before commencement of job. It has now been an additional four weeks. I have received information from Miami Dade County that Isaacs Roofing applied for a permit on April 16, 2018 for another property and that permit was finalized on May 3, 2018. The County also stated that Isaacs Roofing applied for yet another permit on May1, 2018 and that permit was approved and closed on June 5, 2018. I am appalled that Isaacs Roofing applied for permits AFTER taking our $4,000.00 and had said permits inspected and closed BEFORE working on our home. Also, the supplies were left in one spot on the roof rather than being dispersed, weakening the area. Said materials have been exposed and subjected to blistering heat and rain for five weeks. The adhesives and some of the other materials were also left UNCOVERED, further deteriorating and compromising their functionality and possibly causing humidity damage. It has now been 11 weeks (eleven) since they cashed that $4,000.00 check. During this time Isaacs Roofing has applied for other permits and at least two have been closed. I am very upset. We gave them our deposit in good faith and I did not bother them with numerous phone calls (I only called three times in the 11 week period). This is so unfair. They are a total scam. I hired them to do my roof , they did not replace rotten wood and cut lots of corners. Bottom line I still had the same leaks in my roof after they finished. They never honored their warranty , the owner isaac never responded my calls or messages , the project manager Stan offered no help at all. Bought a house with a roof that was a year old from Isaacs roofing. After the sale when the heavy rains came it leaked. Called and they said that warranties are not transferable and that all warranties were cancelled after Hurricane Irma. I am a realtor and I have never heard such nonsense. I had another company come and correct the problem in one area. Isaacs roofing never took the backing off the adhesive on the the tar paper. Beware they do not warranty their work. read more

This company is no good. I just bought a house with a four year old roof. This company would not allow the warranty to transfer to me. When your making a $20,000 to $30,000 purchase I would choose another place where the warranty will hold up and the company should do what's right. The old owner of the house also called and said that he wanted a new roof installed and that he would sell the house in one year would the warranty transfer to the new owners and they said no. Please do your research and go with another company. I asked other companies and they do one transfer for $250 which is reasonable. read more

Roof Contract: May 2015, Warranty 10 years from 9/2015 or until 8/2025 Hurricane Irma hits Miami: August 2017 First Leak: June 2018 This is a sad story. I originally waited to write this review to avoid jeopardizing my warranty. Following the leak, so didn't write a review to allow myself to cool down. I now realize I never really had a warranty and want to ensure others know the facts. Due to a prior relationship with Isaacs Roofing through a friend, Isaac helped me repair a leak in 2012 so I could close the purchase of my house. Given the valuable relationship with my friend, he offered to do the small repair for free if I went, purchased, and picked up the Somay product that he recommended as a temporary solution. He supplied less than hour of labor, which I greatly appreciated. He refused to be paid or invoice me for that small job, but I sent him a check regardless just to say I was very appreciative. I unfortunately then referred him no less than 4 prospective single family jobs, one of which I know he completed. I also told him he would get my future new roof job. In 2015, We embarked on a home renovation including the roof. I received 5 roof bids, he was highest and I against my general contractor's wishes, I hired him anyway. This was an unfortunate mistake. During the job he charged me a huger percentage of the original $39,700 roof replacement contract for wood replacement. This is after his sales guy inspected my attic before the job, knew it had been Somayed several times, knew there were active leaks, and saw the conditions of the tongue and groove from my attic. I now know if you have a roof twenty years old with Somay, it will surely need allot of wood replacement. Not a small add on, an attempt by a roofer to extort the client once your are stuck with them. Please note with any roof contractor, a trick of their trade. Isaac's is a prototypical Miami service provider: Top level on the sale, outsourcing terrible sub providers, and hiring primarily incompetent labor. Defending their work along the way. I contacted Isaac de Sol several times after completion about a vent stack that clearly didn't look right and other concerns about the roof he just completed. Guess what happened, that vent stack eventually leaked. When I called to file a request in writing under my warranty within 3 years of completion following Irma, the response was that the warranty was void due to the fact that a hurricane hit Miami. Isaacs Roofing did NOT visit my home, inspect the probable locations of the leak, and determined that the roof leak was caused by the storm. For Isaac del Sol, when a hurricane comes he wins the lottery and as all of his warranty liabilities go away. To further that joke, when we tried to build a paper trail and sent a written warranty claim to the Isaacs Roofing PO BOX listed on the warranty, it was returned as that address didn't exist. Because Isaacs Roofing refused to come an assess or repair the leak, I was forced to find someone else to come and stop the water coming into my master bathroom. That other roof contractor who did thank god come, charged $3,000 to fix the issue and essentially confirm that the vent stack where I had original concern and communicated to Issac del Sol and his P was the issue. During the job, his guys put nails through my exposed water treated pine (high quality) tongue and groove on the back patio, his team was working on the roof several times until after 8 PM, only because they showed up late that day, labor not in uniforms or company car, obviously sub-out with no quality control, didn't prepare my home for temporary rain, and water was in my living room and dinning room ceilings, equipment and materials were often left uncovered, on the roof, not secured and unattended for a day or two including a wheel barrow facing up (Good to have that filled with rain on your roof). A quote in the middle of the job, not something to rely on: "Thank you Peter please trust that I will treat you fair at all times. Sincerely, Isaac" Update 1/18/20: Just repaired a second leak caused by terrible workmanship where they nailed down bird stop into TPO cricket and caused slow leak. Pretty convinced good reviews for these guys are friends and family or people like me who were duped by another Miami style smooth operator. read more

I had a flat roof leak that was leaking. Stan promptly came out to give me a quote and discussed the useful life of a roof and answered our way too many questions. We scheduled with Hannah who was very helpful. The repairmen were there on the day they said they were coming. We were mandated by our insurance company for a new roof. Out of the 6 quotes we got they were the most expensive by about $200 and we decided to go with them because of their reputation. They delivered an outstanding roof in 2 days despite having to wait 3 weeks due to non stop rain. Stan stayed in constant communication with us updating us with the forecast. I was unable to amend my previous, stellar review of this company, so I'm "adding and revising" it now. About six year's ago, Isaac's roofing put a new roof on my home for nearly $65,000.00, which came with a "TEN YEAR WARRANTY". I boasted about this company in a review immediately following that installation. Unfortunately, just a few MONTHS after the brand-new install, Miami was hit with hurricane Irma which clocked winds just above 75 mph where I live. While there was absolutely no damage to my home of any kind, this hurricane CANCELED OUT my so-called and short-lived "ten year warranty". That's part of the "fine print" of any roofing company. They have the right to negate your warranty whenever a hurricane hits, - whether there's damage or not to your roof. After discovering flaws/leaks in Isaac's installation of my new roof, they did come out once or twice to quote repairs since they were no longer obligated to stand by any warranty. Their costs to repair specific issues which resulted from THEIR installation and NOT any storm damage were super-costly. There seemed to be ZERO consideration of the fact that I had just spent well over $60K with their company. My repairs were performed by another company at much more reasonable costs, they stood by their work and they appreciated their customers. I wish that Yelp allowed me to withdraw my past review, but at least I'm able to "update - and set the record straight" with this review. In retrospect, if I was allowed a "do-over", I NEVER would have gone with Isaac's Roofing in the first place. Their work had many flaws and their follow-up support to repair their flaws was super-expensive, - although I had just spent so much money with them. I do not recommend this company. read more

I had called earlier in the year for an appt and was told it would take a couple of months to get someone to do an estimate for a reroof. Nevertheless knowing it was a busy time due to Irma I gave my name and number to be added on their list. They never called or followed up. Poor Service! There are other roofing contractors who are just as busy and reputable who did not have a problem sending someone out within a couple of weeks to measure and then return to go over the proposal. read more

Working with contractors in S. Florida is a headache and a job of its own! However, working with Isaac's roofing on a project like replacing an entire roof was an extremely pleasant and professional process from start to finish. More importantly, they showed up when they said they would and finished in the time frame they initially gave at a reasonable price for the quality of products and materials they use. Ultimately, they went over and above our expectations! The company has been around since 1993 under the same individual owner and a very tenured management team and crew which gave us a lot of comfort, especially because they guarantee their work. Our house is a 2,300 SF single story home built in 1948 (with updates). They were super patient in helping us find what we wanted which was of a more modern/contemporary style to update the look of our house. We ultimately sent them a picture of what we were looking for which was outfitted on a 2-story newly built house with an amazing roof (which ironically they did the roofing job for). However, they suggested looking at a finished product with a similar structure and size of our house to make sure we liked it, which we did. Once the job commenced the workers were professional and worked efficiently. One day the owner of the company, Isaac, was in the area when the city was inspecting our roof. The owner (who was wearing business casual clothing and dress shoes) climbed the ladder to go on the roof with the inspector to make sure everything was alright. That's unheard of in Miami!!! The latter meant a lot because it was 95 degrees outside-but it meant more because it showed the owner cared about the quality of his product. Nonetheless, after the job was complete the workers cleaned up after themselves and Stan who's in charge of the housing division followed-up to make sure we were happy with everything, which we were. One more added bonus...they are Ygrene Certified and approved which was an added bonus so we wouldn't have to come out of pocket to pay for the whole job at once. And if we sell our house, the remaining cost would be transferred to the new owner. In summary, we LOVE OUR ROOF and are leak/monsoon free! Loved working with these guys and would highly recommend Isaac's Roofing! We have recommended this company to several our friends and colleagues who all had consistent experiences. read more

I have used Isaacs in the past for my roofing needs. I was very happy with them when a previous evaluator was with them. They gave me excellent ideas and service was the same. The recent one who evaluated my roof after the hurricane in the Fall of 2017 made an assessment but never forwarded the estimate. Due to very 3 very large Banyan's (city's trees) over my home that were due to be trimmed, I waited for a few months before I followed thru with calling again giving the city time to trim the trees back from my home. When I attempted to contact them after several months, I have heard many excuses as to why can't schedule or when they do schedule they don't show. 3 to 4 appointments have been scheduled with then calls telling me that the evaluator will not be able to show. This has been for the last 3 to 4 weeks. I'm sure they are busy with entire roofing jobs whereas mine is a repair. Since they didn't deliver the estimate and I am a previous customer, I feel I should get some priority. It has been their failure to follow thru all along. Maybe the ownership of the company has changed? I'm not sure but this has been unacceptable at the very least with promises that are never followed thru. A lot of conversation about nothing. I have waisted my time and will now move on to another company that is able to do what they say. The person who continually answers the phone can't even locate my previous customer records. Not happy with the way this company "sells" but ultimately does not deliver. What I was promised in the way of size of crew, supervision and garbage removal did not happen. The quality of the work is inferior to my neighbors who put the exact same roof on with a different company. Although I have been told that mine passed all inspections, it sure doesn't look as good. I was trying to save some money and realize now that I should have spent a bit more and gone with the other company. Stay away form this company. read more

so this new great house I bought had its little fixers... I needed the fascia boards changed. (that's that boarder around the house, bottom part of the roof) The company came out I marked what needed to be changed and these guys did a great job at a great price. I had been told that any handyman can do the work, all it was, is changing out 2x6, painting and done... Well not so easy especially in an older house, you never know what is underneath. With that in mind someone suggested I use a roofer just in case other problems existed. I contacted Isaacs based on a friends reco and they were not only better priced than a handy man but worked a lot faster and were prepared if I had roof issues. Once the job was complete a rep came out the following day to review the work and see to it that I was satisfied. Two thumbs up guys! read more

We had a heavy gumbo limbo branch fall off one of our trees and punch a hole in the shingle roof above our front porch. Isaac Roofing sent a supervisor over to check the damage on Monday, and in the process he also located a few other potential problem spots - areas of old, bulging rotten wood - along the intersection of the roof and upper wall of the front of our house. Their guys showed up around 9:30 AM on Wednesday, beautifully repaired the roof and wall junctures within about three hours, cleaned up efficiently and thoroughly, and gave us an excellent price on the entire job. Stan from Issac's replaced my flat roof and skylights less than a year ago and no issues after Hurricane Irma. He was replacing my neighbors house with a tile roof before Irma made landfall. I did not think he would finish in time and was worried about the loose tiles on their roof. Much to my surprise he got the job done in plenty of time. The quality of work looks very professional and not a single tile came loose during Irma. Stan had neighbors yard cleaned up perfectly and was back to check on the roof two days after Irma. We waited a month for a repair and potential new roof. They were supposed to arrive on 6/15/18 between 8;00 - 9:00 am and that was confirmed the night before with the scheduling staff. They never showed up so I called twice and was promised by George they would at my house by 2:00. It is now Monday 6/18/18 and we haven't heard a word. So I would NOT recommend them. read more
