We had house-wide cross contamination of asbestos due to the negligence of a contractor. I had Elite come in to do testing and help in my dispute with the contractor. The testing was prompt and very professional. I was given full reports and the freedom to call in and have anything explained. Boy, did I call/email! I worked with Ben F and Kenneth P, who were so reassuring and considerate of my situation. Ben and Q came in on several occasions to collect samples. They were very friendly. Ken helped me by providing amazing consulting advise and documentation to support my claim against the contractor. Thanks to him, we were able to convince the contractor of his violation and move on to the cleaning/abatement process. I cannot describe how valuable the advice and assistance from Elite was. Truly it was intrinsic to getting our lives back from the tragedy and injustice of the asbestos contamination. They saved our lives and put my mind at ease. Wonderful company.

They used cable ties to attach plastic advertisements to mailboxes on private property without permission, which is not only illegal but incredibly disrespectful. The cable ties are impossible to remove without tools, leaving residents with unwanted advertisements permanently affixed to their property. This desperate marketing tactic reflects poorly on Cal Training's business practices. Any company willing to break the law and deface private property is not one I would trust with my business.

After describing the job, I was given a verbal quote of roughly how much it would cost. Of the 4 quotes, one was several thousand higher than the other 3. There was an issue with my mold test report from another company and Andrew, the owner, was kind enough to give me a 2nd opinion over yelp messages free of charge, which is why I eventually seeked them out to do a full air testing themselves. Amanda, the technician, came and did a post-remediation air quality test after the mold issue have been resolved and was extremely thorough and careful, exponentially more than the other 2 mold testers that I've used. She answered a ton of my questions with great knowledge and detail, and was extremely helpful in giving me a better understanding of mold and the situation in general. She spent A LOT of time, in contrast to other two mold testing companies that only spent 20mins max. Not only were they more professional, thorough, and answered all of my questions, they also charged me very reasonably for the amount of time and effort they put into their air testing. The last 3 months was quite an ordeal and my only regret is that I did not find this company to begin with. If I have any air quality/mold issues I'll be sure to seek them out again.

During our renovation, we had to take out some old, fake ceiling beams and demo our kitchen's…read morehardwood floor. Upon looking under the old hardwood, our hardwood installer showed us two layers of glued vinyl and requested we have it tested for asbestos - which we did and found asbestos. We separately tested the cottage cheese we found under one beam, which also had asbestos (old cottage cheese ceiling underneath) We contacted MES and one other company. The other company had some communication issues (phone) and did not follow-up , so we never got a price. MSE was fast to respond and price seemed in-line with what our hardwood installer thought it may cost. Their work included demoing the hardwood floors and beams and then the asbestos removal. It was a two day process and we stayed in the house during the abatement. The rooms were completely sealed off, a negative pressure was created and they did their work. Once done, the rooms looked completely clean of any work. Their demo work was great. There was no real evidence of left over glue on the subfloor (the old vinyl floors were glues). They removed all hardwood including where it met or edged under the kitchen cabinets so we had very clean lines to but against or slip under the cabinets. And they removed all the asbestos. The rooms were left clean and no sign of any dust or debris. Very highly recommend. Also, very quick responses to any questions during the bid and work process.

Junk removal took care of that job & removed the rat poop. Then I called A2Z to clean everything assuming that's all I'd have to do. Last night I saw a giant rat run across my garage so now I've paid $3500 to hazmat clean the 1/2 my garage but still have a rat infestation. I'm now working with a rat removal service but before A2Z allowed me to hire them & get in contract they should have advised me to be sure to complete the proper step beforehand of ensuring the rat infestation was resolved. Now i'm out $3500 for an unnecessary garage cleaning and still have a rat infestation. As a new homeowner (or any homeowner) I'd assume a good business would make sure I've done the pre work (in this case rat infestation elimination) before accepting the job. That's in my view a shitty thing to have done to me as the client. Really disappointed because they seemed professional throughout the process. So for this reason of not holistically proactively making sure the proper prep was done I cannot rate this business any higher than a 2 star. I'm not angry I am however very disappointed and feel that I've been tricked. I cannot recommend this business.

In fact, I was immediately thinking of others (or even calling the SERVPro Pleasanton branch). However, when John got involved in the project, things immediately improved -- like a 1000%. For starters, he dove into action immediately, looking for mold (which he found) and moved forward to address the mitigation, while patiently explaining to us the process. The team was fantastic -- Stanley, Oscar, and Jimmy were all very nice, respectful to our family, and most of all just plain good at what they do. They took very good care of our home and the parts of the kitchen we were able to save. We really appreciated everyone's hard work. The key, however, was John. He made smart decisions, treated us kindly, communicated with us throughout, helped us understand things (without talking down to us), and stayed focused on solving the problem.
