I purchased a car this August from Irwin Hyundai. Upon first interest in the vehicle, I was told it needed work done by the service department. Even though it was put up for sale already on the website and on the sales lot. I waited about a week before I could test drive it. When I was told the work was done and I could come in for a test drive, the vehicle was still making the same rear noises and needed to be looked at once again, prolonging the wait time even longer. Days later, it was communicated with me that it was all ready to go and I could come in to finally purchase the car. At this point, I had been driving back and forth from Boston to Irwin's multiple times. As I sat down to finalize paperwork, I was then told that Irwin's still owed money on the payout of the car. Picture this, they put a car out for sale that they legally did not even own. Hence, Irwin's did not have the title because of it. This went on for weeks, I was told the title was being sent overnight and it never came. I made multiple phone calls to sales and to the title department myself. I was treated very poorly by the initial title clerk. This extremely unprofessional woman literally told me that she was "leaving early" that day, so she didn't really know what I wanted her to do. It wasn't her problem. She acted as if she could care less. She went on to lie that she called the bank to overnight the title, it came two weeks later... Finally, the payout was sent and the title arrived. Then, I noticed a piece on the rear wiper blade was missing and the bolt underneath was corroded. My sales associate assured me that he would send it to me via mail, which he never did. I even reached out several times through email and sent him my mail address again. Every, single, interaction was like getting your teeth pulled out. It was as if you had to beg them to sell you a car. I finally purchased the car and thought that all I would need to wait for in the mail was the wiper blade piece. I figured wrong. I never realized my experience could get even more frustrating and waste more of my time, more of my money and mean more trips back to NH (which is a 2 hour drive each way). My check engine light came on and it was not able to get inspected in the state of MA. This was only FIVE DAYS AFTER I BOUGHT IT. So, I brought it to Irwin's service and after several hours they determined it was an emissions leak. They needed to order a part. You would think they would have caught this 5 days earlier when they said my car was good-to-go...this meant going back to Boston for work just to come back up a few days later when the part came in. (I was also told by the inspection station in MA that my tires needed to be replaced by November. They were almost not passable for inspection. Irwin's denied this claim, of course.) I thought this would be the final thing I needed to come in for. As it was getting worked on, I was called by the service department about an hour in and told that the technician accidentally knocked over my gas tank and as he went to catch it, he broke my fuel pump. As you can imagine, this meant they needed to order a new part and I would not have my car back for days. I was given a loaner car, but this did not help me when I needed to park in Boston with a city parking permit and MA license plates that was assigned to my specific car. I couldn't even park at my job with this car because my workplace also has requires my cars permit to park. The disappointments are unfortunately not done. I called the bank that I got my loan from for the car to set up payments. They told me that Irwin's never sent in my financial paperwork after my purchase. At this point, I've had the car for weeks. They have absolutely no record of me in their system. Oh and at this point, this hadn't heard back about the wiper piece yet either... I was very excited to buy this vehicle and was also happy to be supporting a local business in the Lakes Region, as I grew up in Meredith. But unfortunately, this has been made the worst experience of my life on any purchase I have ever made. You thought that was it? Oh no... Wait for it... I go to pick up my car thinking I'm finally done with these people. The service manager says something along the lines of, "this car is absolutely all fixed and now safe to drive. I even had a master technician check over it again." About an hour down 93 south I have all these people flying by my waving and flagging me down erratically. I start smelling gas as I quickly stop my car off in the breakdown lane. The man flagging me down risks his safety to stop and tell me to get out of my car because my gas tank blew and was spraying gas for about 100 yards. DOT stayed with me for 2.5 hours so we didn't get struck by distracted drivers. Irwin's was not willing to give me a loaner car on the first call. Toyota 4 - Runner Purchase - I've been shopping for a Toyota 4-Runner for two years, I developed the specifications down to the last detail. When I contacted The Irwin Zone I got an immediate response. I was contacted by a professional salesperson with excellent communication skills and exceptional knowledge of the Toyota I was searching for. I was allowed to test drive a new 4-Runner by myself without the salesperson tagging along. When I decided I wanted a different color, my salesperson worked tirelessly to locate the exact vehicle I wanted and sold it to me for the most competitive price in the industry, including all of New England. During the financing process I was quoted an excellent rate over the phone and when I arrived to sign the financing paperwork the interest percentage rate was lower than what I was quoted over the phone by one half percentage. My husband and I had talked to Erik about getting a truck. My husband wanted something with power and a back seat that was reasonably priced Erik showed us a leftover 2010 Toyota Tundra we took it for a test drive and Erik gave us the price including rebates/incetives and doc fees. We had compared similar trucks online and nobody could beat Irwin's price. When my husband got out of work on Monday we got to Irwin's the truck my husband wanted was still there we made an offer and left that night truck preped and coated with ResistAll. Which was great for us since we live 45min away. The finance department explained told us exactly what our payments were going to be and what was covered. He even explained the extended coverage we could get and told us exactly how much more our monthly payments would be. We would definately recommend Irwin's to anyone looking for a car or truck. I have had some really loud noises coming from the front of my car. I brought it into Irwin and they told me it was my wheel-bearings. They had no available time slots until the following week to fix it, but Bob offered to take it and squeeze it in. After a few days, I received a phone call from Bob saying that everything was finished. I was shocked to hear that it was done so quickly, considering they had to order the parts for the vehicle. I came in to pick it up and was again shocked to hear the price. It was significantly lower than what I was expecting. He also took it upon himself to fix the recall gas peddle on it. I was very pleased. While I was paying, Bob went ahead and pulled my car up to the door for me. I highly recommend this dealership for all the friendly staff they have and the great prices. Had plenty of time to make a purchase. Searched dealerships within 2 hour driving radius from my home. Irwin Toyota was our selection! Great deal! Great selection! Plus the Prius came with complimentary Oil changes, tire rotations, check ups! At my first free oil change and check up the mechanics replaced one of my windsheild wiper blades, free of charge! I noticed there may have been an issue with it, but did not mention it to the dealership. Given the service departments attention to detail and quality and the friendly, no stress sales experience, I can easily recommend Irwin Toyota to anyone considering a new or used car purchase. Very honest employees working at Irwin Zone in Laconia, NH. My husband and I were shopping around for a new truck and went to several dealerships, including Irwin Zone. Although we ended up purchasing at another dealer, Irwin's has won us over with their service department, always friendly, honest, and reliable. The entire Irwin crew is fantastic. We are now on our 3rd vehicle from them and it just doesn't get any better. Their service department is unmatched. I've been in and out of there (having an oil change & tire rotation) in as little as 30 minutes! When we bought our Sonata, we didn't have to spend the entire day there, we were able to pick out the car we wanted and go about our business while the paperwork was completed. When all was said and done, our salesman called us and we returned to sign paperwork, hand over the keys to our trade, get orientated with our new car and we were out the door in about a half hour. I spent 15 minutes in your parts dept. today with an issue that didn't really relate to parts. The parts dept. fellow that helped me was busy as it was lunch time but he continued to work on my problem between calls--all the time apologizing for the time he was taking. Finally I left him with the task and left my name & phone and went on with my day. 2 hours later I got a call telling me he fixed the problem. I drove to the building and when I saw him he apologized again for the delay. If this young man ( Joe H.) is any indication of your staff then I understand why your Co. is so successful! I live in Boston, but was in the Laconia area for the holidays and realized I was overdue for an oil change and thought I would try to get that taken care of on my day off. I called Irwin Motors and they fit me right in. Very friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere and beautiful showroom. The service was quick compared to some other dealerships I have gone to for an oil change, and they gave me an easy to read print out of everything that they checked and how my car rated in all sorts of service/performance related areas. When I picked up the new car it was in perfect condition and ready on time. The salesperson took a great deal of time explaining the bluetooth phone system and all of the new features of this Toyota. Irwin Toyota recently replaced the entire frame in my 2005 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 - in a little over 3 working days. I expected a long aftermath of rattles, problems and trips to the dealer. So far, there have been NONE! The vehicle is tight, the front end is well aligned and it feels like a new one! Even the rear springs are new.
