I have seen Dr. Ighani for the last 15 years. She took me through 2 pregnancies, a tubal ligation, a uterine ablation, and a hysterectomy. I am so sad that between her leaving and me moving, I have to find a new provider. I have never had an issue with the office staff. My calls were answered or returned in a timely manner, as were my portal messages, and the front desk was always friendly and respectful. The phlebotomy techs have always been quick and friendly as well. Everyone in the office provided the quality of care that I would expect from a women's health setting. read more

"incorrectly" (read: fraudulently) coded my appointment so that I was billed without insurance coverage, billing department won't return a phone call, and then doctors withheld medical care until I paid the bill pending any resolution (This is not a policy, at least according to any of their staff, and no one informed me of this until I was on site for an appointment ). If there was literally anywhere else to go, I would never set foot in this place again. read more

This review is not about Doctor Wester who is an amazing doctor. This is about some or most of the staff who are terrible. They never answer the phones. The front desk ladies, especially the 2 African American ladies at the front desk always have an attitude and are never friendly, they should not be working at front desk if they can't even have the courtesy to greet patients politely or have a smile. This place is so out of control and doesn't care about fixing issues. They care about making money. I'm not sure if the providers are aware of what's going on. Patients should not be calling for an entire week, several times a day and not be able to get anyone to answer phones, that is not acceptable. Fix the issues and care about your patients. Train your front desk on how to be professional and polite and how to interact with patients. So sad that I love my provider but hate the way some of the staff are ruining this place. read more

I love my doctor, but the office staff is dysfunctional. They rarely answer the phones. My appointment, which I scheduled two months in advance, was canceled. They sent an email, a text, and left a voicemail notifying me and asked me to call to reschedule. No answer in the office after multiple attempts at different times. The recording says they will call back within 24 hours if you leave a message, so I gave up calling and left the message. I've done that twice now with no return call. My portal messages have historically been hit and miss. Now contemplating driving 18 miles out of the way to the office to ask them to reschedule in person. Trying to find a new doc but will likely have to book waaaaay out in advance as a new patient. For things as sensitive as women's health issues, this office needs to do better. read more

They rescheduled me 4 times .Never had my well woman for 2024 bc they rescheduled me so many times Then my new appointment for 2025 they called and left a recording at 7AM the day of my well woman to cancel me AGAIN! Trying to get anyone on the phone is a solid 45 minute wait. They dont care when you did get a human. I was sent to another 45 minute wait and then went to voicemail. Dr. Wester was kind and listened to my concerns fully and I never felt dismissed as can sometimes be the case with doctors. It is a busy office but I didn't feel like I waited for an obscene amount of time, overall the front desk people were also friendly which when they were located across the street near TMC the front desk staff always seemed disinterested or disconnected so I definitely appreciate the improvement. read more

Multiple awful experiences. Both my mother and I were treated very poorly with no consideration at all. No communication within the front desk, pushing back my mother's appointment which I understand things happen but to blame us for not answering twenty minutes before we walked in is ridiculous. The front desk shows no empathy or even friendliness in such an already scary healthcare environment for woman. Then to go back and be treated like cattle not knocking and barging in when I'm getting undressed, doing the procedure with no warning or information prior and no information after on what to expect. Today my appointment was at 9am and not seen until 9:45. If I would have been late my appointment is canceled. After my appointment, I needed labs. I waited another 15 minutes until I just walked out. It blows my mind. I wish I could say this is the first time this happens but it is not. I will give it another chance with a different doctor. Im in my early 20s pregnant with my first child, everytime I go the front desk ladies are hearding everyone like cattle and not being considerate at all. With this being my first baby I'm very nervous and timid going to appointments alone while my husband is at work. The front desk made me feel stupid when they told me I needed a urine sample. I said "okay, thank you" and sat down. they kept yelling across the room, "we need your urine sample" but never telling me what I needed to do. instead of letting me know they needed it then and directing me where to go and what to do they just kept being rude assuming I could read their minds. Not to mention I was extremely sick with a fever towards the beginning of my pregnancy and was worried my baby was cooking. I called the office to ask what I could take medication wise; at this time the front desk ladies said, "well if you open your pamphlet we gave you it tells you what medication is safe to take." (Extremely rude again) I then proceeded to tell them I wasn't given a pamphlet. They told me they'd have my doctor call me. The doctor never did. It took 5 days of constant calling to get any answers. I finally was transferred to triage where she was rude about the pamphlet too but finally gave me an answer. Not impressed at all. read more

I decided to try to trust this office after my favorite and only ever Black OB-GYN left. I made an appointment almost two months ahead of my scheduled appointment only to wait almost an hour for the doctor to see me. No one said anything as patients kept getting called left and right and I sat my whole day being wasted in a doctors waiting room. I finally got up and asked what was going on and I was told that Dr. Hook was running behind and that there was still one more person ahead of me. This never happened when Dr. Dean was a part of the practice. This place is alike a puppy mill of a doctors office. There were probably 30 or more patients that came through during the near hour I sat in the office waiting. I paid my copay so I had to continue to wait and go through with my visit but if I hadn't paid I would have walked out. No matter how good these doctors may be per some people's opinions people's time is valuable and customer service matters so I'll be seeking out a different OBGYN. read more

Dr Studer is amazing! She is a very good listener and has a very thoughtful approach to caring for her patients (from my experience). Highly recommend. In addition the front desk staff members are both super friendly--both staff members greeted me with smiles and friendly welcomes. The medical assistant also seemed very professional and understanding of patient needs. Definitely recommend this location and provider team! I'm not sure what happened with the office, but I've been trying to get in for a follow up appointment and annual since late January. Every time I call, I leave a voice mail in addition to speaking to actual live humans. It's to the point where I'm wanting to get another doctor elsewhere or just take the time out of my personal busy schedule to go there in person (just to make an appointment)... because either the doctors aren't giving a you-know-what anymore or the office staff has taken a turn for the worse since January. I'd say to people who are looking for an OB-GYN... keep looking. The whiplash of sensing you're actually being cared for vs they don't care isn't worth it. read more

I love my doctor at Ironwood! She's terrific! I have an issue with the people in the office that do the billing. They don't seem to care and get back with you when you have a problem concerning a bill..and I was charged over the roof with my lab results and I was trying to get it figure it out within over a month and I called them every day. No one seems to call me back and I leave messages and so on. They also transfer you to pass the buck to someone else and no one calls you back. Its like your being put off. The billing people don't know how to do there jobs. Its just so rude that no one calls you back. I also feel no one cares at the office period. So if your trying to deal with your bill.. good luck! Zero luck trying to get important medication sent to my pharmacy. I've called about 10 times and left 6 or 7 voicemails in the past three weeks trying to get my medication on file sent to my pharmacy. Nothing but phone tag with Christina and now I'm not even getting replies back even though I confirmed exactly what I was looking to do. Throughout my pregnancy I have had a couple visits that were friendly but brief, but my experience overall with Genesis has been such a letdown. read more

I loved my OB but the office itself is terrible. The triage nurse never calls back and never answers the phone, you always have to leave a message knowing you may never get a return phone call. There is never an urgency behind anything they do, I needed a procedure urgently and they made me wait almost 2 weeks to get me on the surgery schedule. The day before surgery I had complications and I called the office to ask how to proceed and never got a call back. The ball is constantly dropped by this office. Do not recommend. Also when pregnant you more often see the nurse practitioner unless you schedule all appointments at the beginning of pregnancy. read more

I have been a patient at Ironwood OBGYN since inception, I want to say I think it was about 25 years.Dr. Linda Turner was my doctor following Dr. Maria Diaz's departure, and I always had excellent care from her. Upon her retirement, I called to get an appointment with a new doctor. I was told that the office manager would have to look into it and that she would get back to me. After two weeks of waiting I called again and they said that they had put the message on her desk. I waited another week called again and got the same response.I find this behavior to be outrageous for a medical practice and even more outrageous to be treating a long time patient in such a dismissive manner. read more

My doctor was Dr. Ighani and I really liked her and her MA Michelle. They always remembered me and we're professional and clear about what they were doing and why. The reception was also very courteous and professional and as quick as possible with their workload. I also had the pleasure of talking to the triage nurse, helpful and prompt when returning my calls, and Kim the office manager. However, when I ended up in the hospital for hyperemesis gravidarum, Dr. Goldberg happened to be the doc on call for one day. My experience with her lack of manners, lack of care or professionalism made it so I am not willing to risk her delivering my baby on the off chance she is on call when I go into labor. The office manager listened to my concerns and followed up with me, which I really appreciated. I am switching offices simply because of Dr. Goldberg. I highly recommend all the other docs there. read more

Dr. Howell is one of the best doctors I've ever had. If I could have her as my PcP I would. Alongside of working with her for 3 years in labor and delivery, I've been a patient of hers for almost 6 years. She helped me with a uterine issue I had been dealing with for almost 3 years prior. She is very knowledge, has an amazing bedside manner, and empathetic to her patients needs. There isn't anything I wouldn't trust her with. Alongside my two pregnancies, I had to have csections which after 2 years post last baby you can't even see my scar. I highly recommend Dr. Howell and her MA Shannon. Office staff has always been great. I have no complaints but I'm not really a complainer unless it's completely necessary. read more

After being a patient here for 21 years, I'm disappointed to have to seek a new Gyn office. Their phone system has had problems for several years pre-Covid and now their staff does not return voice mails for prescriptions from me or the pharmacy. I liked my provider so I patiently put up with it, but now it has reached a point of putting my health at risk. Efforts to problem solve with the practice manager are unsuccessful. read more

This place is horrible, I arrived 30 mins prior to my appt, but to begin you enter into a packed waiting room. The counter is positioned 5ft in-front of the door, there is a tiny sign that says sign-in and take a seat... but you can't read the sign until you're at the reception counter. They call you up to ask the same question you answer over the phone and then give ppwk to fill out, it's 2019 and most doctors offices have this done online prior to the appt. Tech calls me back to the exam room, ask me questions about the stuff I have on the ppwk and tells me to get naked from waist down the doctor (Turner) will be in soon. The table paper was changed however the stirrups had dirty socks on them; and I know per infection control standards fabric should not be used and definitely not reused from pt to pt! I then waited 15 mins for doc, she comes in does her thing and says I'm good and then leaves no instructions: wait for a tech, head to the front... read more

This office is by far the worst obgyn experience I've ever had and this was my 3rd pregnancy. I only seen my doctor a handful of times and was seen by a nurse practitioner. My water started leaking over a week before giving birth and was told I was peeing myself to stop over reacting. I went to the er on my own 3 times and the last time finally got a doctor that wasn't my own and they rushed me to labor and delivery because the water had all leaked out and baby wasn't moving. I could have lost my baby due to their negligence. To top it off I turned in my return to work paper work and two weeks later I called to find out why it hadn't been faxed or emailed yet only to be told that they had no records of it. Please for yours and your child's safety find another obgyn office read more

*update - I just had an appendectomy and during surgery they found a cyst on my ovary the size of a tennis ball. Cysts are caused by hormonal issues and grow less than an inch per year. Dr. Goldbergs incompetency and refusal to even examine me could have cost me my fertility if I did not have an appendectomy today. I was afraid to go to another doctor because of how she treated me. Do not go to her with any health concerns. read more

My wife is currently being seen for our second child (and was seen for our first) and I find it hard to believe people are honestly giving this place a one star. Dr. Ighani and Michelle have always been supportive and answered questions when asked. Dr. Ighani seems rushed usually and should slow down. While sometimes she's perceived as "cold", she is there to do her job. And she does. All the staff there are friendly and I've never had a bad experience out of all the times I've been there. (Because I'm a man and I always go with my wife to every visit) So if you need a shoulder to cry on, its probably the hormones. Go see a therapist if you need to talk to someone about your hurt feelings. read more

Dr Beheshti is rude and clearly not up to date with new medical procedures. She shows no respect for her patient's wishes or convictions or feelings for that matter. A refresher in bedside manner would probably help her speak with tact instead of telling a first time expectant mom "If you want to die that is on you". Updating because I just had my baby! Truly I LOVE this office and Dr.Hook. I had the easiest time with them while I was pregnant - all my issues addressed, the few times I had 'emergencies' I was able to get an appointment same day or next day. The triage nurse always called me back within hours. While Dr.Hook was not the one to deliver, Dr.Goldberg was so helpful. Really if you are seeking a new OB/GYN- this is the place. ----------/////////------------/////////--------------//////// While searching for an OB-Gyn I was really nervous about all the reviews that Genesis practice has - including this one. However I chose this office based on its mixed reviews, locations and my insurance coverage. I was not disappointed! The office is beautiful - magenta accent walls and all the curtains are a beautiful tapestry, with thick heavy embroidery. All the light fixtures and floors look nothing like any other office I've been too and really make it a comfortable place. I had excellent service all three times I called the office and when I came in for my first appointment. My appointment was at 4 and they requested I arrive at 3:30, my wait was very short and I was taken back within 15 minutes. I saw Dr.Hook and while it was a very short visit as I was just having a wellness exam, she was very personable and easy to talk too. My partner and I are starting to consider fertility treatments and Dr.Hook gave a wonderful recommendation and was just very accepting and make me feel very comfortable. Horrible bedside manner from Dr. Maryam Beheshti. I went in after a visit to the ER. She briefly saw me, said the ER often says women have ruptured cysts and blew me off. I ended up going to the ER 2x after that and lost my ovary and fallopian tube because they died in the meantime. I was trying to be proactive. I called after my visit and said I was still having pain. I understand medicine is a practice. This one needs to put more effort in. My symptoms were completely obvious after researching on my own. read more

I only started going here as of January due to a move and change of insurance. I love Dr. Howell! Her bedside manner is awesome. Yes she tends to run a little late but what office doesn't?! She always spends as much time with me as I need and I trust her answers to my questions implicitly. She has been very good about easing any concerns I have and is always very friendly and polite. I also love that she is a D.O. which is not always easy to find here in a gyn. Other than the wait times, which again you find everywhere, I love her! Her staff is generally very friendly and tends to remember me as well which is always nice. I did have one issue with them sending my blood work to the wrong lab considering my insurance and they took care of it quickly. I'm very impressed! I was very unimpressed and will be looking for someplace else. I saw Dr. Turner at Ironwood Ob/gyn to talk about how I'd been trying to get pregnant but hadn't conceived yet. I had a fertility screening done- ultrasound and a blood test. For the blood-test results, I got a little card in the mail with a checked box that just said I was "within normal parameters". Not super helpful. When I had the ultrasound done, the technician told me NOTHING. I went home and gave it a few days before calling and leaving a message to ask about my results. No one called me back. I called again a few days later. No one called me back. I emailed then explaining that I'd twice called with no response- after a couple days someone called me, was really cold and short on the phone, and gave me very little information. All this would be extra stressful if I were actually pregnant! I will not be going back there. read more
