The sunsets can be spectacular by the pier, the boardwalk is nice for a walk, and there's some places to play and even some public grills if I remember right. As far as the vendors go, I'm not that big on Bill Gray's, but Abbot's ice cream is a winner. Ice cream + sunshine + sand + sea (I mean lake) = good.

(So sad) Jack's Place is such an awesome playground! The recommended age range is 5-12. There are a few different activities for the kids, some the same as the location in Penfield such as the sand pit (here it's rubber), the big standup spinner, and the signature dinosaurs. There were 2 families here playing in the sand and water. Again, I found a little bit of glass and a few interesting pieces of rocks. If you're wanting to look for sea glass, make sure you look at the tidal charts first. Looking at low tide is optimal. Also, make sure you take a trash bag to haul your trash out with you. There are no trash cans, and there will likely be some litter on the beach.
