The Irondequoit Bay Outlet Bridge was closed so there was no opportunity to cross the harbor on foot or by vehicle without driving all the way around the harbor. So that's a downer. Boats, jet skis, canoes..... whatever you are looking for, it is here. There is even a small beach which people seemed to enjoy very much. (So sad) Jack's Place is such an awesome playground! The recommended age range is 5-12. There are so many neat aspects of it including some unique spinning "rides", numerous slides, swings, lots of places to climb and a rubberized digging zone. There are a few benches around for the adults. Our kiddos had so much fun here! Highly recommend!

Plenty of field and a couple of picnic tables. I don't recommend eating there based on our experience yesterday. We were invaded by what looked like fruit flies times 1,000. It literally rained bugs on us at the picnic table within one minute of sitting down so we booked it out of there and ate down the street another playground before returning. There are a few different activities for the kids, some the same as the location in Penfield such as the sand pit (here it's rubber), the big standup spinner, and the signature dinosaurs. Plenty to keep the kids happy. My kids loved it here!

There was one family there with kids playing in the sand and water. I did find a little bit of glass. Stopped on my way out to use the restroom and it was pretty disgusting. I guess no one had cleaned it yet from the weekend. I'm talking poop on toilet seats, in the sinks, etc. kind of disgusting. I then drove to area 5 and began my search here. There were 2 families here playing in the sand and water. Again, I found a little bit of glass and a few interesting pieces of rocks. If you're wanting to look for sea glass, make sure you look at the tidal charts first. Looking at low tide is optimal. Also, make sure you take a trash bag to haul your trash out with you. There are no trash cans, and there will likely be some litter on the beach.

My friends and I had a lovely walk down the trail to this well maintained boardwalk and the path after all the way to Port Charlotte and back. Along the way we saw several turtles sunning themselves as well as swans and other birds. But even with that, there is a wonderful and calming walk out on the pier to get to the end to view the beacon. At 6:00 am, there is plenty of parking and I have no idea how stringent they are during regular hours. But this early, it was quiet and peaceful when I parked the Sprinter and walked out.
