Listen. So I went there a couple months ago ended up getting a vehicle. But the guy think his name was Tyler. He wanted to send me off the lot with no gas in the vehicle and the oil % was at 8%. I had to ask to get both those things done before I left and he told me that the management didn't like when they did those things. And I asked if I could get some money taken off the truck for the front grill being busted and the scratches on the truck and he wasn't budging. Just selfish. Terrible sales ... just bought a new 2022 sienna. Was told when we put money down that they were offering 0% financing on new vans . After vehicle showed up they said that it wasn't available and we would loose deposit if we backed out... they also said the vehicle came with remote start, that was also a lie, it will start through the use of a paid app. still won't work because of cell service. Finally, we were told our snow tires and rims would work from our trade in, but afterwards was told we would have to pay them 1 hour labor every time we switched the tires to sink the TPMS sensors with new vehicle. Our old van was the push of a button. Finally! Our sales lady handed us the keys without showing us anything on the car or even pairing the phone or explaining and of the option. read more

I saw they had a Toyota Prius with low mileage there, for a decent price. Admittedly, I had come there hoping in some capacity they could come down on the price, but they showed me other's for a similar price online, which I'm not sure if that is a fair comparison, because those dealers might have come down on their prices. Regardless, they were patient people, and I didn't have to wait long for service. I had issues with my card, and they were patient enough to let me call the bank and sort it out to finish my purchase. One thing with noting is that I had asked my dealer if he could give me a sort of quick-start guide to the car, which he agreed he would. I understand a Prius isn't a typical car, so I will give him the benefit of the doubt here, but a few details he explained to me I later found were incorrect when I had arrived home and read the owner's manual. Overall, I don't think that really says anything negative about the dealership, just that reading the owner's manual and doing your own research is a good idea instead of taking everything they tell you as the truth. My car was in very good condition except for a couple dents (which a woman on the phone did tell me they would pop out, but never did, but that could be because I went and purchased the car before they had the chance to), but those cosmetics didn't matter too much to me as I knew it was used and that I planned on driving it into the ground. Brought my car in to get new tires put on. They broke my hood release lever and didn't tell me. A couple days later my hood flew open on the highway and the car was totaled. Coincidence? Terrible, terrible customer service - do not waste your time. I was traveling alone and started having some serious problems with our Chevy truck. I pulled over in Evelyth which is 5.8 miles away from Iron Trail Motors. Called these guys as they were the closest Chevy dealer and spoke with Justin. Explained the situation and let him know I would try to make it to them and would need a truck rental when I arrived as I had our family dog with me. He said they could only rent to me if I paid a pet damage deposit which I responded "fine, not a problem". Got a call back from Justin a few minutes later to tell me per his Manager, they could not rent a vehicle to me because I had a dog. I ended up needing a tow and went to the dealership in Hibbing. Great people to work with and really thankful for their awesome customer service. These guys at Iron Trail are worthless and have lost a potential customer forever! read more

I would give Iron Trail in Virginia a Negative 10 stars if I could. Went in to buy an SUV, certified check in hand, and after test driving the vehicle asked the salesman (Jon L.) how much the vehicle was out the door. He then says to me "what can you afford?" I then told him I wasn't going to tell him, I just want it in writing how much the SUV was, out the door. After a bit of trying to get me to tell him what I wanted to pay he went to an office, stood around for a few minutes, leaned on the copier, looked at me sitting at his desk, talked a couple more minutes to someone and then came out with the quote including tax, tags, doc and all on paper. I did say I would buy the car and eventually got it that evening. My main thing is that they are LIARS there. When I asked how long the vehicle had been on the lot, I was told 2 months. This is an outright lie!! The reason I know this is that a friend of mine wanted to buy the same vehicle 2 weeks earlier and was told that it wasn't there, it was down in Duluth. My friend ended up buying a different vehicle altogether. I then noticed there is a fluid leak but because the car was sold "as is" there is nothing that can be done. I had the car less than 24 hours! Needless to say, to get the leak repaired will cost almost $700 dollars!! I had been told it had been thoroughly checked within the last couple days and had ZERO ISSUES!! You couldn't pay me a million dollars to go back to that dealership. Supposedly there was a management or owner change recently and things were supposed to have changed for the better. I DON'T THINK SO!!!!! Terrible sales people, service people I talked to don't have a clue of what they are doing. ( I can do better myself by googling what needs to be done), and the receptionist is rude as anything. I asked the service person if there was a spare key and was told no, there wasn't and that it would cost $140 to get a new one and then it would take a few hours to reprogram it, if they had time that day. I took off work drove 1 1/2 to sit for 45 minutes and then have the errand boy tell me Joe was to busy to program and cut the key and could I come back tomorrow. This is the worst dealership ever!!!! I had a family member drop my car in because I was having transmission issues and I was at work. I got my car back and they had charged me $141 to top off the transmission fluid. I just bought the vehicle 3 months ago in the twin cities as a GM Certified vehicle with a 12 month 12,000 mile warranty. It was a lease return with 20,000 miles on it. I still had issues 3 weeks later and brought it to Ken Waschke. They addressed the issue and billed the warranty. I will never ever do business with Iron Trail Motors again or any of the dealerships owned by this family. Terrible business!!! Go to Ken Waschke for any Gm or Chevy servicing. Avoid this place at all costs. After a service appointment, I complained that my vehicle was returned to me with body damage as well as an unacceptable detailing. There was wax left everywhere and the glass was full of streaks. Took it back the next day and the manager on site addressed the detailing but could not speak to the damage. He said the Service Manager would be in touch with me after viewing surveillance footage. It took them 2.5 business days for anyone to communicate anything to me, and when someone finally called, it was a sales (not service) manager I never had any prior dealings with. He insisted the damage was already there and said he had time-stamped footage to prove it. I requested the he provide the footage and/or images be sent to me via email and he vehemently refused to do so. He then threatened to have me sued if I did not remove my negative Google review that outlined my experience. read more

Stay away from this place. We just bought a Toyota Highlander Love the Toyota Brand but this place is not a spot I would send anyone to buy one. When we originally looked at the rig it was a "certified used Toyota" but magically when we went in to purchase it, it was no longer certified and we were never told. Which means no one year bumper to bumper, no guarantee that they even went thru the rig on trade. A week after owning it the oil change light is on. When I called our sales guy about both the lack of certification and lack of oil change, I was told that it was never actually certified and they were sure the oil change was done but they probably forgot to change the sticker. So naturally I asked for the repair order, and what do you know it was never done. I then reached out to the GM of the store so he could explain to me the situation. When I did finally speak to him, he informed me that he was in fact the owner (not true) and he told me that they "decertified" this unit in June. (we bought it in August), after reviewing the 160-point inspection that Toyota has on their website. I see that we were supposed to have 2 master keys with it. But we only have one and there is still the issue no oil change which by Toyota's own standards is not acceptable. So, I asked for that inspection and was told once again it was not available. So in conclusion, we bought a rig that we love thank you Toyota, no thank you to Iron Trail you have made this experience horrible. Please don't go here. They flat out lied to my family and myself time and time again. I would give less stars if given the opportunity. read more

Worst of the worst. Go somewhere else. Have had several repair experiences: Air conditioning repair: overcharged the system and blew out a seal. Differential repair: Accepted car for service and then refused it, saying they didn't have the right lift for my vehicle, even though they were working on another, identical vehicle. Brake repair: required an immediate return because of loose caliper bolts. Today, service could give me no estimate of when they would even look at my vehicle because of ignition recalls. Service front end people tend to arrogant "take it or leave it" macho types or "too bad if you don't like it" females. Terrible place and all you hear in the waiting area is complaining about bad repairs, high prices and obnoxious staff. After a shop in the cities area told me the problems I was having was gonna cost $7,600 for a new engine, i brought it home and got an appointment at iron trail very detailed thorough inspection they did and they found it was just the water pump! I was so relieved and glad I went there they did the repairs that were needed and didn't try to get more things replaced that didn't need it. I would definitely recommend them. They answered all my questions and concerns and let me see what exactly they were seeing was bad. Very honest and thorough there. read more
