I picked up the sweetest filet. Their single-smoked salmon is perfection. The "fish bar" is worth the drive out to this location. The salmon dip sells out every day! Bruce's is fishing family owned and operated for four generations. The grocery section yields locally blended herbs and spices at great prices. Fruits and veg are fresh and tasty. The bakery will cause drooling. And check the freezer section for Bruce's homemade ice cream. Sea Cider from Vancouver Island is always on the shelf. Rogers Chocolates! Now with the pet and farm store opened next door, you can pick up provisions for your furry family, and wonderful plants for your balcony or yard. Lots of parking. Easy filtered left turn off Lougheed highway.

He got the roast beef on sourdough with everything but tomato. It was a pretty solid sandwich, but nothing I'd go out of my way for. I wanted the shrimp with avocado which they ended up being out of, so I opted for the smoked salmon instead. Okay, now this sandwich was definitely worth the hype. Smoked in-house, the fish tasted super fresh and there was a lot of it on my toasted sourdough. I paired it with fresh sprouts, iceberg lettuce, and tomato, making for one hell of a sandwich at $7.99 - I'll definitely be back for this, along with Bruce's other seafood offerings. So, why the three stars? Service here is SO excruciatingly slow. There were six deli attendants working, all of who despite acknowledging our presence, decided that prepping tomorrow's salads was infinitely more important than serving customers. I attempted to order, gave my boyfriend my order as I needed a bathroom break, browsed the store quickly and returned only to find they still hadn't taken our orders lol. They also didn't bother calling our names out once our sandwiches were ready (why ask even?) so our food was just sitting there for awhile. I get that Bruce's probably has a lot of seasonal hires, but the overall experience suffers if your customer service is this lacking.

On a recent visit to Langley, my kid and I were walking along one of the main drags in town (Mavis…read moreStreet), and my kid mentioned that she wishes I had made more of my famous apple-cranberry chutney last weekend for Thanksgiving. So I decided to make another batch, which required me to get some apples. We decided to stop in to this grocery store to get some. For the most part, I was quite impressed with this store. It's not terribly large; I'd estimate it's about 1/3 to 1/2 the size of your average Safeway store. But it was super clean, and well laid-out, and all the shelves were stocked, too. I did notice that this store was more of a gourmet food store. Definitely more like Bosa or Whole Foods than like No Frills when it comes to the brands they carry.. For sure. As a result, the prices tend to be higher than at No Frills - sometimes, by a LOT. They also have a lot more organic foods, and specialty foods, and a nice looking display and counter full of high-end meats and cheeses, and ready-made paninis, etc. During our brief visit here, I availed myself of the store's washroom for customers. (It's to the rear of the store, just behind the produce section). I was impressed by the cleanliness of the bathroom. (You'd be surprised how dirty some bathrooms are in grocery stores. They can be really shocking). This one was super clean, and well-stocked, too. Bonus. There were only a few check-out counters, but we were there at an off-time, so we didn't have a wait. The girl who checked us out was SO friendly and nice. Very personable. It left us with a really good feeling about this store, as our last impression before leaving.

Nice store. Friendly employees. However, because of the 'predatory' parking company, I will never…read moreshop here again. He was beyond rude.

Great Store!! -Deli sandwiches…read more -Baked goods -fresh made Sushi etc... I'm always looking forward to stopping when I need a pastry or a sandwich to have with my morning or lunch Tea The large cookies are so good and loaded with chocolate chips! Messy when driving but so so yummy ! The strudel's at $1.19 each are a great deal and they have a mix of cream cheese and strawberry filling, I can't help myself but have to grab 2 of them when ever I'm there My favourite is the Cream Cheese Danish Omg is all I have to say about that lol :0) All of the deli sandwiches I've had have been delicious and I feel good after eating them Can't say that for all places and they heat them in an oven not a microwave A good price at $8-$9 Their packaged fruit is always been fresh and reasonably priced as well Sushi is made fresh every morning and they make authentic & creative rolls to perfection Get there early while just made and wow are they good! Just an overall great place to grab Real fresh food at a reasonable price when your on the go like I'm am most days :0) Way Way better than any drive thru for about the same price Don't take my word for it Check it out yourself I'm sure you'll be glad you did

I'm a little surprised at how little they have of specialty things though. Being a "marketplace" IGA I would hope that they'd have a better selection of seafood, specialty cheeses, deli meats, etc. I went here to find fixings for a nice charcuterie board with fancy cheeses, meats and condiments and I was quite locked in because of the options I was given. I've also gone in here looking for simple seafood such as crab meat or cooked crab to no avail and had to run off elsewhere.

We will pay more for Canadian or do without until we find Canadian grown produce, or failing that, ABUS, Anywhere But United States. We are extremely disappointed in the seemingly increasing amount of US products we are seeing at LFM, and the number of people who grab them without looking or caring. This is supporting a country that is trying to wipe Canada off the map, and own us. We refuse to help them. We're bringing this to the attention of our friends and we're all looking for other places to buy our produce until LFM puts more support into Canadian growers and less into the US. Until then, we'll be avoiding what has been our favourite produce store. And that is really unfortunate.

Highlight -- the chicken drumsticks -- they were absolutely 'the' best I have had the pleasure of preparing in such a good long while So fresh, and plump. And whether roasted, fried, grilled, or steamed (and over time, I prepared them in each of those ways) -- the result was the same - so flavourful and tasty!! I did not find anything particularly special about the imported potatoes. But they were fresh, and made some rather decent mashed potatoes a couple of evenings, and were 'ok' on the griddle, and baked the rest of the time. The onions were fresh, firm, and to date, have provided some nice slices with burgers, and in other sandwiches, and such. But those wonderful drumsticks .... more please!!!
