The workers at this dealership may be great, but the owner is dishonest, unfortunately. I would be very cautious purchasing anything from a place of business with this type of owner. Do not buy from this place/man.. The owner is very rude and extremely unprofessional... If I had to describe him in two words, it would be "utterly entitled"... His website clearly states his business is open until 4pm on Saturdays. My husband and I drove from Augusta to Atlanta looking at a few vehicles from three different car lots for our son... Iron Horse was our last stop. We got there at 3:23pm and the gates were locked with no one in sight. I called the telephone number on the website, the owner answered. When I asked why he wasn't open when his website shows COB is 4pm, he told me in a very condescending tone, that they have closed at 3pm for 10 years. When I told him I wouldn't know that because I came up from Augusta, he went on and on about how he couldn't believe I would drive that far without calling first and if we wanted him to come back, it would be awhile because he was far out (which turned out to be a complete lie btw)... I explained that I didn't call the other two car lots and there was no issues with either one of them... (one of the other car lots even warned us about doing business with him) Then with an attitude he says "I'll be there in a minute"... It took him a total of 5 minutes!... In the meantime I took a screenshot of his website that showed the business hours. When he got there, he said he just got off the phone with his web designer and was told the time on the website shows 3pm... As I attempted to simply show him the screenshot I took of his own website, he said, "and I didn't like your attitude on the phone" and I replied "yeah I didn't like yours either" then he said "I'm leaving have a good day", so I turned around to walk back to my car, because at this point, I was over this man, his self-centered, could never be incorrect about anything, entitled, can't read a clock and/ time, doesn't even know his own business hours, overinflated sense of self-worth attitude. Then he yells out, "I ONLY CAME BACK TO SHOW YOU I'M A MAN OF MY WORD!! ", To which I replied "Sir, normally... dicks aren't". Now that I have read the reviews on his website!!! Bought a car in August. Really nice and helpful. 3000 miles later car has catastrophic engine failure. We will see if extended warranty is any good! So far warranty company isn't paying. $3000 lifetime limit. Cost me $1400 for warranty. Update: 3/7 New engine, warranty paid $3000, $1500 out of my pocket. We stopped into the dealership to look at a truck. The sales people were helpful. We took a few trucks for a test drive and decided to make an offer. We gave a realistic offer on the truck we liked and they accepted. Whole thing took about an hour. We were happy with the way we were treated and the deal we got. Buying cars is probably one of my least favorite things to do. However, I recently had a good experience purchasing a used 2019 Toyota Corolla. Iron Horse Auto is a small used car dealer. Greg, the owner, has owned the lot for quite a few years. I happened to find the car listed on Craigslist and texted the phone number. To my surprise, Greg responded promptly and talked with me on the phone for a good 30 mins. He held the car for me until I was able to get to the lot to test drive it. When I arrived, as far as I could tell, the car was exactly as listed. After test driving it, reviewing the carfax, and speaking to Greg for an hour, I decided to purchase the car. I promptly took it to a mechanic to have it inspected. The mechanic verified the car was in great shape. I bought the car for my son, who has been driving it for the last few months. It still is in tip top shape. I couldn't be more pleased. If I need a car in the future, I will be visiting Greg again. read more

Do not trust. The cars they sold us had lots of hidden issues. I purchased a car from them for my daughter. Within 2,500 miles had to replace transmission, head gasket, driver window assembly, alarm module and battery. The car has left her on the side of the road 3 times. They told me the car was in excellent shape and charged almost full list price for it. Bought the car for close to 6K and had to sink another 4K into it. Had to make a choice, do I sell the car to a junk yard and write off 6K or put more money into it an hope to recoup by getting use out of it. With economic times being as hard as they are one would hope that dealerships like this one would not take advantage of people. I can and will recover from this. I would avoid this business! While purchasing a car under time-constraints I neglected to look up previous reviews of Iron Horse Auto and subsequently went through a terrible process. They sold me a vehicle that had incurred serious frame damage while showing me an inaccurate (meaning old) carfax report claiming the vehicle had only ever been in a minor fender-bender. They offered the car with a warranty, but when I returned to them the day after buying the car because the check engine light had come on, they offered to look at the problem and still charged me for the work. This process repeated itself until I finally went to a real dealership who subsequently showed me the real carfax report and began fixing the issues my car was having that had only been growing more serious. Iron Horse Auto even told me not to worry about the oil or coolant levels since they had all been refilled immediately preceding their selling me the car which I have found to be impossible because the actual oil cap had been welded shut and the coolant was leaking at the time the car was sold. In my personal experience it is hard to describe what this business did as anything other than predatory and I would advise anyone looking for a used vehicle dealer to pass these guys by. Had I read their other reviews by people who describe going through my exact current situation I would have never purchased a vehicle from them. read more
