I tried to order frappe but she said they don't make those just yet??? They told me they been open for year or so. They also explained to me they are Military friendly. Alas, I didn't order anything but everything looked really new and awesome. Maybe next time they will have a frappe. Broke my heart!!! But hey you looking for coffee this is your local spot!!!

Literally had the best coffee from here. Quick service for such a busy place. It was also the perfect atmosphere for a coffee shop.

Dropped in for a midday meal at this sprawling Grand Rivers institution, and the immediate visual…read moreimpression from a fellow diner proved entirely accurate: it is essentially Cracker Barrel on crack, swathed in an exhaustive, maximalist layer of historical kitsch and decorative overload. The atmosphere carries a faintly melancholic, dated weight that borders on the depressing, but the kitchen swiftly alters the narrative. Sticking to the one-inch pork chop accompanied by sweet green beans and a side salad, I encountered something close to a minor miracle. I am hardly a pork chop aficionado, but the cut served here--bathed in a proprietary sauce--is nothing short of phenomenal. It is easily the best in the nation, rendering standard pork preparations obsolete. The accompanying green beans were surprisingly stellar, bringing genuine depth to the plate. If you find yourself anywhere in the surrounding region, bypass the gloom of the decor and swing by strictly for the meat.

We decided to stop there and spend the gift card that was in the basket. As usual hubby got the infamous 2 inch pork chop with a side salad and baked potato. I got the ham and cheese sandwich, subbing fries for the homemade chips and added a hot bacon spinach salad. Neither of us could finish the giant portions so we got a to-go bag. We split a piece of the delicious coconut cream meringue pie. The meringue was at least 4 inches tall ! Almost finished with it when I remembered to take a picture. Waitress was very friendly and accommodating without being overbearing.

My friend got the chicken tenders and she didn't complain about em. I'd never had fried pickles before but we got them as an appetizer and they were pretty tasty. She kept our drinks full, made sure we were satisfied with our food, and even interacted in conversations with us!

I was promptly seated. My server, Kara, came and took my order within minutes of me sitting down. She was friendly and courteous. As usual, I ordered their blueberry pancakes along with a side of bacon, and lots of coffee. The pancakes were fluffy, thick, not hard at all (as one previous reviewer had complained about), and were packed with fresh blueberries. Seriously, most blueberries I had enjoyed in CB's blueberry pancakes in a long time! The bacon was cooked just right, and the coffee was piping hot. Kara did a great job of making sure my coffee cup was filled. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal here, the service was great, and it's always nice to look around their rustic store and see their autumn offerings and collections. I'm going with 5 stars and recommend you check them out. Safe travels!!
