Staff members were very friendly when I asked about the buffet and Scoopon deal. There was also around 10 chairs used for waiting customers, so I assume this place gets pretty popular at times. Luckily, I went during off peak so was immediately seated. There was a wide variety of choices... so many choices that I was unable to try every single thing! (But I tried to... but i got too full. Sorry to disappoint). Soooo.. based on what I tried, it was absolutely delicious and flavoursome! Some of the highlights would include the fried wonton quail egg, thai ice dessert (basically like the Malaysian Ice Kacang), unlimited thai milk tea (and other drinks) and the amazing fresh range of sushi available. I loved that the fried wonton was a surprise; I expected meat but a quail egg appeared, a delightful surprise. The ice dessert is super cool (geddit?) and I've never seen a buffet restaurant have an ice shaving machine before! The wide range of sushi and drinks are also notable since it was beyond my expectation of the variety, presentation and quality! All in all, I will definitely be back for some more buffet :) NB: They also have Hot Pot Buffet but it is separate to the Hot Bar Buffet

This place knocks it out of the park!!! Def order Singaporean chili crab extra spicy if you can handle it, the sweet buns to soak up the sauce, some white rice as a nice base for every other bite full of sauce/crab. You can order sides and drinks but I think it's just more filler tbh. Distracts from the main course. Service is great and new location is in Potts Point with great ambiance and new bar and white linen. Way better than old location. Noticed no one has provided a review in years so I thought I would chime in with an update. A must go for every time me and my girl come to Australia.

LOCATION: Located about 5 -8 minutes drive from the Opera House. Convenient, near town area. PARKING: I didn't see any parking spots for this place because our Uber dropped us off in front. Many patrons walked over. ATMOSPHERE: it's a nice dressier restaurant in the inside. The bright red sign outside makes it look like a cheap restaurant, but it's not cheap. Many of the patrons were dressed smart casual/dressy business attire. SERVICE: All of their staff was friendly and recommended some good menu items. FOOD: so my boyfriend is the one that ate the Singapore Chili Crab. He ate every last piece of crab off its shell so I'm assuming he enjoyed it. I thought the chili took away from the crab meat... I instead, had their Singapore noodles and salt and pepper calamari. Both those dishes were good, my boyfriend ate every last bite of those dishes as well. Not sure if he was trying to get my moneys worth or if he was that hungry lol All in all, my experience at this restaurant was a good one. I am glad we did experience this place while in Australia and I was not disappointed. Yes, it is pricey... but hey, we were on holiday, why not splurge a little :)

No fussing with taxes or tips either, and their curries are consistently DELICIOUS! Much of what I've mentioned is true of the Australian dining culture in general, and I miss it. This Indian shop has been around for years, even beat out the competition -another identical business called North Indian Taste(?!) once opened right next door to these guys, and I even went there to try, but they didn't last more than a few months-. My favorites are vegetable Korma, mixed vegetables, peas & potato, lentil, and eggplant, and I'd usually get a plate with rice and three choices -$6.90- and a lassi -rose or mango-. I've tried their meat curries, and I have to say they just can do no wrong. Their lassi drinks are also a killer - cool, creamy, yoghurty, and refreshing, and just the right sweetness. There's a giant TV screen usually playing Indian music videos or movies, but it's always surprisingly quiet, and usually very entertaining. Love it!

The $11.50 meal deal will get you rice, 3 of their dishes, a drink, and a naan, which is a stellar deal in Sydney. If you are vegetarian, make sure you go for the palak paneer (it's the best of the non-meat options). Potato korma, eggplant aloo, and daal are fine, not amazing - not bad. If atmosphere is important to you, you might want to take it to go and have your Indian food feast in Hyde Park.

Despite making a reservation online through their website, my name was not on the list. Thankfully,…read morethe restaurant was pretty empty (7.30pm on a Friday...hmmm), they seated 7 of us at a big table in a corner. FOOD -- One can choose either the buffet ($25pp) or the ala carte menu. Note that the buffet does not include the soup base (ranging from $12-$16) or sauces (about $1.20 per type of sauce). We (bunch of finance geeks) spent over 15 mins debating if it was cheaper to do the buffet. In the end we chose not to. It turned out to be a good decision, cause the meal cost each of us around $21pp (excluding softdrinks). We ordered about 20-22 plates of veggies/meat. The food was pretty good, everything was quite fresh. My favourites are probably the spam & beef rolls. Who knew spam tasted so good when boiled in spicy broth ? :) SERVICE -- A.R.G.H. This is the only reason why Im giving this restaurant a 3 star instead of a 4. Ordering through the iPad is a stupid idea because you can only see 2-3 items per "page", so it was time consuming to "go-through" the menu. (especially when i am HUNGRY, A.R.G.H) Getting the attention of a waitress/waiter was the worst. Maybe because we were sitting in a corner but it was almost impossible to catch their attention. We gave up and took turns to walk over to the cashier counter each time we needed something from them. A.R.G.H They should consider doing what some korean restaurants do - putting an alert/bell system on each table. Lastly, I heard from my guy friends that the male bathroom was NASTY ! (boo!!)

The unique thing about this place is that they gave protective sleeves for your jackets because hotpot smells tend to stay with clothing for some time. Average spend is around $30 for the all you can eat menu (and also unlimited softdrink, but don't fill up on soft drink) which is very fair when there are other places which charge about $35 (without the drink thing).
