Tried twice to use her services but both times she was so rude and unhelpful I left and took my items with me. Won't try again third time!

I regret to inform you that I had an unpleasant experience with a staff member named Irmi on Saturday. I visited the store to request a hemming service for my satin pants. During our conversation, I inquired if the hemming process might require manual work due to the delicate nature of the fabric. However, Irmi responded in a curt and unprofessional manner, stating that if she possessed the necessary skills, the machine could handle the task. Despite my attempt to clarify that I did not intend to question her expertise, she became defensive and abruptly suggested that I take my business elsewhere if I lacked trust in her abilities. I explained that my mother, who had extensive sewing experience, had advised me that this particular fabric could be challenging to work with, which prompted my initial inquiry. Despite her dismissive attitude, I decided to proceed with the hemming service and left two pairs of satin pants and a crepe pant for alteration. Additionally, I mentioned that I had ordered a pink pair of pants identical to the white ones I brought in, but they had not yet arrived. She acknowledged my request and assured me that she would handle it accordingly. There were other clients in the establishment, and she continued to be much more pleasant to them. That was Saturday, and today is Tuesday. When I arrived at the parking lot, she was exiting the market next door. I smiled and waved to her from my vehicle. I brought the pink pants and two other pants that needed hemming. Upon opening the door, she stated in an aggressive manner, "NO FITTING TODAY. NO FITTING TODAY. I AM NOT TAKING FITTINGS OR I WON'T GET ANY WORK DONE!" I responded, "Okay, I was not aware of that." She raised her voice at me even louder and insisted on a false claim that she had informed me of this on Saturday. I thought to myself that I obviously would not have come had that been the case. I turned to leave, and before I could even reach the glass door, the woman with an unpleasant demeanor said, "You know what, your attitude, here are your pants, because I'm not doing anything." I remained calm and looked at her, thinking, "My attitude? Madam, you are the one with the attitude." I took my pants and told her that now all the negative reviews I saw after I had been there on Saturday made sense. It all made sense. I am deeply shaken by the level of disrespect, rudeness, and unprofessionalism displayed by this individual. I do not recommend her services to anyone. No one deserves to be treated in such a manner. read more

I have been a customer for over 10 years. Irmi is very talented, responsive and pleasant to her regular dry cleaning and tailor customers. If you walk in off the street for seamstress services (without appointment), she usually can't accommodate you quickly, if at all. She is very busy and in demand, so if she blows you off, it is usually because you are not one of the customers that support her all year, and are acting like a demanding/entitled consumer. I have been waiting in her shop when she bluntly, but not unpleasantly, told a bitchy young woman that she could not do a 2 day seamstress job, and the girl had a fit. Do NOT use this place to tailor or dry clean your clothes. Irmi does not have a drop of business etiquette and literally kicked me out of her shop when I told her I was there for some tailoring. I have never seen someone as rude as her in all my life. She should not do business in Belleair Bluffs - an upscale neighborhood. Please do not use her. Plus her quality isn't that good either. Peter just down the street should have your business. Or even Scott's cleaners. read more

Irmi is very capable. She has been in the community for years. I love her straightforward approach. If she can't do it or if there is a better way to do it, she will tell you. It's great to have her so close by. She is a very hard worker! read more

The lady who runs this place is a jerk. She yelled at the gentleman in front of me when I went in and then she yelled at me. She might as well have just told us she didn't want our business. In the end I went one block down the road to Peter's Tailor Shop. The owner was soooooo sweet and super helpful. I told him what had happened at Irmi's and he said he hears that all the time. He took the measurement on my pants legs in about 10 seconds and told me he could have them ready tomorrow if that was was I wanted. Don't bother with Irmi's, they clearly don't want anyone's business and have no issue with being rude to people. read more

I would not recommend Irmi's Alteration as the seamstress simply doesn't have the time or professional standards to actually help you with how you want your clothing altered. She asks you to do the pinning yourself. The work she did was shotty at best and how she treats you is even worse. There are many other places to go for alterations where you're treated respectfully and the work is done professionally. Run, don't walk away from this rude establishment. read more

Great place for alterations. The owner used to work for Hugo Boss. She always does a great job on all my suits and my wife's suits and dresses. I also take my dry cleaning here, they always go the extra mile. read more
