They immediately set to work. I had anticipated being home to answer any questions or move anything they needed. I very abruptly had to leave the house to take care of an emergency and the crew didn't miss a beat. They had me leave a key behind and said they would call with any questions. They hid the key where I asked them to on the way out. I cannot begin to tell you what a relief it was to come home to a sparkling clean house after the terrible day dealing with the emergency. The cleaning crew doesn't pay much attention on *how* the job is done. One example is that they cleaned my new (1mo old) air fryer, but left a bunch of scratches on the non-stick coating. The scratches not only look bad, but may well pose as a health hazard. Another example is that they threw all my pillows/comforters/blankets on the hard floor to make the bed, *before* they cleaned the floor. At least clean the floor before throwing blankets on it! Finally, my bathroom sink started to have backups after the crew left. I needed buy a declog gel to clean the drain. I'm not sure what they did to clog it. Overall, I'd not use Irma again. read more

Update: Irma reached me and we figured everything out. So now I am satisfied customer. End of update. Initial communication was great, fast and effective. However, when the crew arrived everything went wrong: they started to demand more money than agreed from the very start without inspecting the property and despite the fact that I have provided all necessary information and actual photos before hand and we have agreed to the highest bid range. When I refused, they have started to re-negotiate every inch and scope of work. We came to an agreement. Three hours later they called me back, I briefly reviewed and was more or less satisfied with the results, and paid the price. However, when they left and I have started checking thoroughly, I have found a lot of dirty spots and unclean spaces, especially on the kitchen. read more

Irma's got back to me within 20 minutes of requesting a quote. I really liked that I could get a quote just by sending pictures. The quote was very fair. They also did better cleaning than previous house cleaners I used. I did a general clean for my two bedroom two bath apartment. I usually get my house deep cleaned every 3-4 months. They arrived on time, communication was easy, and they completed the job in about 2.5 hours. They worked around my pets which I really appreciate! They are very detailed with the cleaning as well. My bathrooms especially are sparkling. I also requested the inside of my fridge which looks great. The windows are so clear and streak free, I've never seen them look so nice. So Irma's got back to me & my husband recently regarding the unusually large difference between the estimate and final cost of our one-time exit cleaning from our previous rental, and offered to make it right. They certainly didn't need to do this, so that tells me that the owner does genuinely care and that this was probably uncommon (which I had kind of guessed given the other glowing reviews), so it was probably just an honest mistake by their estimator in this case. I stand by my initial assessment of their work; the cleaning crew did a reasonable job on the exit cleaning and we were always satisfied by the level of cleanliness achieved. I will, however, strongly suggest perhaps getting an in-person estimate if you're comfortable with it, for a better gauge on what your final cost will be to avoid any surprises--we thought just the pictures would be good enough, but apparently sometimes it's not. Between both my interactions with the ladies on Yelp and my husband's in-person interactions, they have been both courteous and professional, so I think my experience is an anomaly. I sincerely hope I won't have to go through the stress of moving again any time soon for my own sake, but if I do, in light of their willingness to make amends for the off estimate and their solid work, I think I'd give Irma's another shot (and I'll definitely get an in-person estimate, of course). read more

They cleaned things we didn't even know needed cleaning or could possibly get clean. We scheduled a first visit today for 10;30 AM. No one came. I called at 11am and was told they forgot but could come at 3pm. It is now 3:30 and no has come or called. Had a conversation with the Irma team on Friday 8/13 and confirmed our first appointment for Monday 8/16 8.30am. On Monday morning, I get told that they messed up our appointment and now won't be able to clean our apartment until 1-2pm. Slightly inconvenient as I had to move my morning meetings to afternoon and then back to morning. Now around 1.30pm, I'm told that they can't show up until 4.30pm. At this point its straight up unprofessional, so I ask them to cancel our appt instead. 30 mins later I get another call saying that they can show up in 20mins and I should've refused but I agreed to cleaning. Our place is 3B-2Ba, and were told $200 since we only wanted regular dusting/cleaning which we thought was fair. Two ladies showed up but unfortunately one of them had to go pick up her son a bit later, which is understandable that life happens sometimes. Positives - Both bathrooms were nicely cleaned. Master Bedroom, same situation - Nicely cleaned and even folded our PJs that were on the bed (Bless them!). Kitchen and living room- floors were vacuumed, which was fine... Not sure if the countertops were cleaned. Definitely spent more effort on bathrooms. At 4.30, the lady asked if she could clean our office/3rd bedroom. We refused since we were still working. After this we pay her + tip and everything is good. After she left, we realized that the second bedroom wasn't even touched :(. So we paid $200+ for cleaning 2 bathrooms, a bedroom; and a bit of kitchen/living room. That was kinda disappointing. It could be just one of those days, but we felt the whole experience could've been better. Great working team, but definitely not worth the service I paid for. They were supposed to clean and mop the garage and it never happened even though it was paid for. They are good surface cleaners, but if you're looking for good deep cleaning GOOD LUCK! Also, I gave them each $20 tips and Irma put the money right in her pocket rather than giving it to them which I thought was pretty shady. So, if you give tips, give them directly to the workers. We scheduled a move-out cleaning with Irma, and did a walk-through a week earlier for a quote. But on the cleaning day, the owner claimed that it would take longer than the estimated time to clean, and so she would have to increase the price by 30%. We had the option to say no and they would leave, but we couldn't just find another cleaner on the day of like that, especially for a move-out. (We were supposed to do a walkthrough inspection the next day or so). So we agreed to the increased price. However, the cleaning ended up taking the same amount of time she had estimated earlier. Moreover, mid-way through the cleaning, the owner left to take care of another job for almost an hour (meaning we had one fewer cleaner for that time). After they finished, I still found multiple spots where they didn't clean. I'm fine with paying a fair price for cleaning, but business owners must be more honest when providing a quote. In this case, Irma provided a quote lower than some other cleaners we called, but ultimate charged us more. read more

I have used Irma's HousevLeaning Services for a couple of years at first the housecleaning was great, gradually her "ladies" were doing less and less. I noticed that behind and under the beds were not being dusted, my blinds and shutters were not being done. When I questioned these things I was told that this was "Deep Cleaning" The only thing that is done on a non deep cleaning is dusting furniture vacuuming and mopping floors. What started has her ladies coming for 2-1/2 hours was down to 1hour and 45 mintues. And I was paying about $100.00 an hour. when I first hired Irma she told me that she would be doing all of the things that are now "Deep Cleaning". We love Irma and have been loyal clients for the last 3 years - our parents helped sway us to hire cleaners once we started having a family and we have never looked back! They have been more than fair and reasonable. They show up early, do a fantastic job and are fast and unnoticed.
