My sister and I came here on a sister date randomly. We couldn't have made a better choice! We were going to go to this other dive bar, but we decided to come here because I passed it or thought I had passed it and we ended up spending the afternoon here and meeting a great bartender by the name of Amanda. Amanda took such great care of us and make sure we're OK. We expressed that it was our first time having food here and she gave us some great recommendations. We ended up having wings, but the wings were so good and they even gave us one or two extra. I did have a hookah and when he brought me a refill, I asked how much and he said he always includes a free refill, which is very rare in Atlanta because they will charge you for everything! But I gave him a tip so all is well I will be back to watch a basketball game in the next few days and I'm sure I'll have the same experience! I can't wait and when you come, make sure you ask for Amanda The only reason why I knocked off one star is because you can't smoke cigarettes and black and Miles and hookah and cigars in here so it can get very very smoky. read more

Customer Beware! After frequenting a few establishments on Virginia Ave recently, we ended up at the Irish Bred Pub. We had previously learned an 18-20% gratuity was automatically added to the final bill, regardless of number in party. However, not one server informed us of this important info prior! After receiving the check from our server Meisha at the Irish Bred Pub, we noticed the tip was already added in. Thus, the gratuity line was zeroed out before signing. We threw in a few dollars more to bump up the percentage. The credit card statement reflected exactly a $10 increase from the agreed amount to pay! Several attempts to contact managers Mario & Janese fell on deaf ears! Finally, an "in person" encounter resulted in obtaining a copy held by the restaurant. Meisha had closed out the bill, adding a gratuity line of the additional $10! Evidently there's an underground racket of credit card theft happening here! We work for a major airline, & are sounding the alarm! Compare your receipts to the credit card statement! read more

I enjoy trying new places. I entered the Irish Bred Pub and was greater by a sign to seat myself. I sat in a booth not far from the bar. After about 5 minutes not a single person greater me or brought me a menu. As I began to gather my stuff to leave, another customer who seemed to be a regular brought me a menu. I thanked her and she told me someone will be right over. The place was NOT busy. When someone finally came over, she looked very uncomfortable doing her job. Nonetheless I gave her my order. She brought my food over and did not come back to check on me. I literally had to ask for my bill. I paid and left feeling that they only welcome the regulars and are not open to new customers. The 2 stars is based on the ease of parking in the back and the okay food. read more

The Rasta pasta was salty and didn't taste like Rasta at all. It was very soupy. It had a good amount of chicken but only a few pieces of broccoli. I suggest they season their chicken. I tasted no jerk seasoning or spice. read more

We had a fantastic time here. It wasn't too busy on a Friday night, which was a welcome change from a much louder experience down the street. You can smoke (cigs) in this bar, which only enhances the experience. Drinks are reasonably priced (I had the holy water for $13, and it was basically straight vodka). Service was fantastic. If we're ever in Atlanta again, we'd go back!! read more

Worst service ever! Bartender had the worst attitude from the rip! Walked in, sat at the bar, she walks up and says: "what do you want".... Not hi, welcome to Irish Bred, or anything friendly. Had one drink, left, will never return. They also add 20% gratuity which she absolutely did not earn or deserve! read more

The food was pretty salty and they forgot the honey for the honey lemon pepper. The alcoholic beverages were good but the regular beverages had a strange flavor. It may be the water. The service was good and fast. The ambiance is a great party vibe. They also have hookah. Not very many people, but the music is great if you're in the late 30's and up. Come for the drinks and dance a bit. Not the worst place to go. read more

This place has turned into a dump. Gezz. Happy hour the place was empty. TVs were off. Ordered a Modelo( suprisingly) it was cold, and a Crown neat. Also, ordered cheese sticks. They taste like they were 3 days old... and on top of all this, a 20% gratuity was added to a $22 dollar bill. Never going back...ps Dave's Sports bar is right down the sidewalk. GO THERE ! read more

Patron Margaritas & Hot wings with lemon pepper sprinkles are my favorite and my wife loves their Rasta Pasta

Do not go here! It smells so strong of cigarettes that it is hard to stay in very long. The bartender said the salmon was not spicy but it was extremely hot and when I tried to tell her she was wrong, she told my it was my problem. The food is over priced and not good And they charge an automatic gratuity charge. It is NOT anything like an Irish pub! read more

Service was great. Least feeling Irish pub I've been to. Servers were excellent .Music was too loud for the few amount of people in there .

Cool neighborhood spot for locals. Good crowd on a Fri & Sat nite. Serves hookah, stiff drinks and the patrons seem to have a nice vibe too. Good music- hip-hop/rap, r&b. Food and drinks came out in a decent amount of time & our server checked on us throughout the night. She did forget a couple of things, but she made herself available and honored our requests, which I appreciate. There is parking on the side of the building, but if you arrive after 11p, lot may be full. There are other nearby places to park though. First time here and I would definitely go again. read more

Went for lunch today. Only customers in the place. Burgers were overcooked and the Rueben was soggy. The tomato "soup" was actually marinara sauce so I'm assuming they opened the wrong can. The best part? The DJ smoking weed in the middle of the restaurant and having his phone hooked to the Bluetooth so we could hear the porn he was watching. Worth the terrible experience just so my coworkers and I can share this story! read more

I had no idea that it was karaoke night. That was a treat! The vibe was fun. The bartender took her sweet time asking us what we wanted or needed. The food was ok considering that it is bar food. I would go again just to see the karaoke. read more

I wanted to get some food but after reading the reviews and the health score posted on YELP, I opted not to get anything. If you want a strong drink, this place is where to go. The atmosphere was weird... young ladies came on half dressed, literally.... I wasn't sure if they were working or werking. The service was slow. Very slow. read more

Just scratch this place off your list. Service so slow it doesn't exist. Friendly enough but really slow. Food. Well I wouldn't call it that. More like gruel. Worst I've had in years. So smoky I couldn't breathe and got sick. Ambiance would be dank and smelly and dirty. read more

I was so glad that this pub was in walking distance to our hotel. They have food but we just stopped in for a beer. Their beer selection was so-so. They did, however, have one English Irish Red which was good. It is a large place with several tables. There are also a few tables outside. They have several pool tables but unfortunately no darts. One thing to note, this is a smoking establishment. read more

Hotel we stayed in recommended this place. We had a lot of fun here but the place is terribly smoky, loud, and there is nothing Irish about it. where do I start , unfortunately my experience was horrible, we sat at the bar the bartender Ginger seemed annoyed that we were talking to her, she was ready to go , my friend asked for a manager she said there wasn't one there , to redeem his $10 credit due to a server giving themselves a $10 tip after getting 20% gratuity. she made our drinks and left. So the other bartender (catsuit) was blah asked her to split the bill (no sign saying no split bills) she then gets mad slams her hands on the bar I guess I'll have to pay for it, no I'm trying to pay but clearly you don't know how a spilt bill works anyway I paid my portion of the tab as well as my friend , he had to ask multiple times for a togo box which took 10 minutes to get , I understand being busy but being rude , when you are servicing guests is just obnoxious, its just that a dive bar so what do you expect , when weed smoke is all around. read more

Today was my first time here ; and it won't be my last! Great bartender, great food, and atmosphere. The catfish basket was awesome. The fish was cooked perfectly; crisp on the outside, and moist on the inside; and it had that crunch upon biting . The wings were just as delicious. Plump, crispy, and perfectly sauced. The day bartender on Sunday, March 6, 2021, between 3:00PM and 5:30 PM was terrific. Great rapport and great service. I had fun playing music on the juke box with her! She was amazing. Never got the tune melt we ordered, they couldn't figure out how to make it. Order a salad with grilled chicken, salad showed up without the chicken, it came half way thru the salad, salad not worth the hassle. Waitress never came to fill our drinks, had to go up to bar for service, she Obviously has not had any type of training on restaurant service 101. Smoking is Permitted inside the restaurant, which makes it horrible to try to sit and eat. Not a place we will go back too!! read more

Stopped in at the Irish Bred Pub as I had just flown into Atlanta and was staying near the airport. The place was well kept and had bar seating for about 15, with tables for another 50 people. They also had 2 pool tables. The bathroom was clean. The bar had a nice selection of liquor and about a dozen beers on draft. I had a few beers and got a meal to go. All were good and reasonably priced. If you are staying near Hartsfield Airport and in need of a drink and pub grub, you will enjoy the Irish Bred Pub. They allowed smoking inside, but the ventilation system did a great job, and I never smelled any smoke. Highly recommend. read more

We discovered this place online. But before leaving the hotel, we met a couple (who were heading to Belize the next morning to go on vacation) and asked them to join us for beers and dinner. Good bar food but not an Irish Pub. Went on Saturday night for a quick bite and there's nothing Irish about this place except the name. I found it loud and smoky. Beer was cold and the wings were good but the name is misleading. It's more club than pub. read more

A saving grace from a terrible flight issue! Thankful for the staff and late night food and drink!

There isn't anything particularly special or appealing about this place. But your options are limited in this part of town and it also doesn't totally suck. They do have daily drink specials which are nice. Smoking is allowed inside so that will be a deal breaker for some people. My waitress really didn't seem to have a clue as to what was going on but we eventually got it figured out. There are TV's and they are turned to ESPN and such. It's an OK option if you have some time to kill in the area. read more

How does this place stay open?? Only 3 tables had patrons at them. Took 15 mins to get 2 beers. After waitress brought our beer she said she'd be back to take our order but never came back. The only way this place could be for mistaken for an Irish Pub is if you consider the fact that sell bangers and mash... A smoke-filled club with miserable service and questionable clientele.
