One morning I thought I had gotten a splitter in my foot and ended up walking around (limping) on it for a few weeks. I remember, I had been to Dr. Christopher Chow's office previous and had good services. Got an appointment pretty fast and he looked at my foot (could still see a really small entry point) and he took something out but we both agreed an x-ray would be good to make sure nothing was in there. Went to main street radiology the next day and it was confirmed that I had a portion of a needle in my foot. Since it was really in there, we had to have surgery. Things went really fast, I had to go to my regular doctor for post surgery tests, then back to Dr. Chow in the China Town Office for post surgery consolation. Drove in midday so trying to find parking was a nightmare and ended up having to use a garage. Surgery took place like a week after discovering the needle... so their was no delay and everything moved really fast. No complications with the surgery and went back to Dr. Chow's office the following week for a followup... everything looked good, so it was another two weeks then got the stitches out. Office staff and Dr. Chow were great during this whole adventure. I'm good with not doing that all again... no more stepping on needles by accident. :D

I wasn't 100% sure of my own diagnosis, so I made an appointment to see a foot specialist. Dr. Lok sat me down, did a feel bending tests on my foot, and asked me some basic questions to determine what my symptoms were: sharp pain, that's most intense in the morning when I wake up and inflammation of the heel after exercise. Dr. Lok gave me his professional evaluation, that I do have plantar fasciitis, and he showed me a few stretches that I can do at home to strengthen my calf and foot muscles. A week later, I went back to get my feet molded for some custom insoles, which my insurance was able to completely cover..so that was pretty cool. I got my insoles a couple days later, though I haven't tried them out yet. Overall, a great experience at Dr. Lok's clinic. Their staff speak English, Mandarin and Cantonese. It's a small clinic, but it's efficiently run and organized. Though, the only downside, street parking around the area can be difficult to find. Aside from that one downside, I would recommend Dr. Lok to anyone seeking a good podiatrist!

Although she wasn't giving patient an attitude but the vibe she profuse was not friendly at all. She even told the front desk in a condescend tone that there was a patient waiting, me but it wasn't that long, because they were too chatty and slow to attend. The front desk then commented the boss, aka the PA, was reprimanding them. Afterward I heard the PA arguing with the front desk about the patient's file follow up. One can tell that the front desk doesn't like the PA/boss/office manager and visa versus. PA think front desk is not doing their job. Kind very hostile among themselves.

He referred me to a pain management specialist and he was amazing. He gave treatments that helped with my pain for over a year along with PT unfortunately my body didn't the tolerate as accepted but not as long as it should've. I then after almost two years later we discussed surgery. I was nervous because I never had surgery but his honesty and compassion put me at easy. He explained the steps clearly and told me what to expect when having the full lumber area worked on. From the check outarea Brianna took care of everything for me. Then when surgery was completed and I was admitted for a week every one from Dr. Buza his full PA staff and nurses made me feel so special and made sure I was comfortable in every aspect and discharged with full instruction on handling the worst 2 weeks of pain and discomfort. He sent nurses, OT,PT to my home along with all medical equipment I would need. I felt like a VIP PATIENT and would highly recommend that team especially Dr. Buza. My recovery is going great and love that my quality of life without pain is a blessing. With humble gratitude and appreciation to this great surgeon and his whole team. Thank you with all my heart Dr. Buza. I could not have done this without you. I soooo appreciate you. I give you the most stars I can give. God bless all of you.
