Their food is fucking phenomenal and the level of quality they offer is genuinely amazing. I love their jerk chicken on Mac n cheese, I usually have to use like half a tub of cream cheese to balance out the spice but I love it. The restaurant is cool as heck inside with the most amazing decorations, it's something that you really should check out. The cabbage was super tasty and the chicken was decent, although I wish the jerk sauce was cooked into the chicken.

We love getting the curry chicken and I recommend it with the cornbread. The cornbread is so good. Im not a fan of the mac n cheese but aside from that everything I've had is delicious! Friendly, efficient staff. I ordered the oxtail box with cabbage plaintains and peas and rice with salad. My partner ordered jerk chicken with the same sides. You will probably have left overs. Portions are generous. But the food was salty. I would prefer more spice than salt. It would be nice that their condiments were no charge. Not sure if I will go back again. Not sanitary. The young woman behind the counter dropped the temperature probe on the floor then wiped it with paper towel and put it into the food. I loved this place when It first opened. But the last time I went there the meat portion was so small I could actually count the cut up pieces of meat. They went from serving with a full cooking spoon to serving in to small shot glass size scoop thingy and they didn't even fill it up... Not going back.. I'm done!! read more

This place is set up like Chipotle. I noticed that quite a few places are set up like them. This was our first time eating here, and the young lady behind the counter was patient with us. My wife and I got the boxes with Jamaican rice. She got oxtails (9.00) more, and jerk chicken which came with cabbage, and she got the pineapple slaw. I got jerk chicken and jerk shrimp. (3.00) more. Overall it was good, but my shrimp just tasted like shrimp. The oxtails you had to fight with a little bit to get the meat off of the bones. The jerk chicken was good. The cabbage was real good! Should have mixed it in with the rice to give it some flavor. I would try it again and stick to the basics next time. read more

I was really excited to try a Black owned business and a new cuisine, as I've never had Jamaican food before. I was really disappointed. I got a bowl with white rice, Jamaican rice, jerk shrimp, plantains, jerk salsa and jerk ranch. The only seasoning I could taste was nutmeg, which I think was in the salsa. Everything else (other than the plantains, which were actually delicious) was tasteless. I'm surprised by the reviews that say the food is too salty - there was absolutely no salt in anything other than the plantains. I was nervous to eat the shrimp because it looked undercooked - it was okay but, again, no seasoning whatsoever. Maybe you're supposed to rely on the sauces and salsas for flavor? I also got a banana pudding, which is my favorite dessert, and it had so much nutmeg! This may just be a matter of preference - I don't really like nutmeg, but it was all I could taste. I always like to give restaurants a 2nd try, but I'm hesitant with this one. read more

No words! I've been to Jamaica and this place is hands down a taste of the island! It's a VIBE as soon as you walk in, the staff is killing it, the cooks, the decor, the MUSIC. Its just a whole ass vibe! The food, omg the food! Try a diff combo everytime, you will not be disappointed!!! If I could give it more than 5 stars I would. I drive a few times a month 40 min to get there and don't mind because going to Irie I know I won't be disappointed and I leave with a smile, it will literally will make your worst day feel not so bad! Will not be returning, strictly based on customer service. We visited 6/19/21 and were a party of 4 adults and 3 kids. Ordering was a bit dicey as the quality of assistance offered by the serving staff (think 4 total) varied from fairly helpful to non-existent. However the main problem was when we got to ordering our drinks. We asked for water cups for 5 (for 3 kids who aren't allowed to drink pop and 2 adults who don't like pop) We were told that they were forbidden by the owner from handing out courtesy cups since some customers had been filling them with pop instead of water. Also was told we could purchase bottled water (at $1.75 ea). Know that the shortcomings described above wouldn't matter to some (most?) potential customers, but be forewarned if this is something that might give you pause. Honestly the food wasn't bad, but I won't be returning as I have a hard time supporting any restaurant that won't supply free water and ice (somehow) when eating in. I get treated better at McDonalds! read more
