I read some old reviews and I think this business has stepped up their game over the past few years. So much so that I recommended them to a friend for a complete unit replacement recently. I feel that I receive honest help, competitive pricing and quality work. Their techs don't work off of commission so they'll take the time to assess your problem before diagnosing the actual issue. I've never had a pushy technician or one that made me feel like work was alarming. The communication overall with this company is great from start to finish. Easy to book appointments, confirmations along the way and fast receipts afterwards. Very transparent and thorough in explaining what is needed for your issue to be resolved. read more

Unit were very professional and new what they were doing I was very impressed and I would recommend them to anyone they were clean and and had no problem with me watching them and I was asking a lot of questions and had no problem answering them anyway I love my new A.C. My mom used to use Ierna's for her air conditioning needs. I had to call yesterday for air conditioner which was leaking water. The HVAC service technician check in out and explained thoroughly what needs to be done. Also, I had a plumbing issue too. So, that was resolved too. The technician will go over the pricing and check to see if they have any coupons to use. read more

UPDATE: 8/1/35 I refereed a family member to Ierna Plumbing for a new water heater. After the install, they said there was a gurgling coming from the tank. Ierna tech said it was normal, and could not see a problem. When I checked the system, I found several issues. One was a open A/C drain line, that was causing the gurgling noise. Two was the Pressure Relief was routed to the back and did not have a drain line or catch tub (a CODE VIOLATION). Also the pressure relief would vent into drywall and also pool on the floor (another CODE VIOLATION). I called Ierna to speak with a manager and was put on hold for over an hour. I called back and they said a manager would call within 12 hours. That was a week ago. I have once again lost my faith in the company. If you have plumbing work done by them, make sure to get it inspected. read more

My pump was working before they came at it just so happened that 5 minutes later its "brakes", and he originally was going to charge me 600 but was able to "bring it down by half" due to alleged discounts. So, he just so happened to have the specific part in his trunk. I believe he broke my pump on purpose to charge me. But only after charging me 11000 for a whole new ac unit and then made me pay for the pump because it is an "accessory" even though it can't function without it. I would highly recommend never using this company! They are way overpriced. Tried to bill me over $800 for a warranty repair that would take about 1.5 hours. That is over $500/hour. Complete rip-off. Got the same work done by another company for $150. Not just a guy pulling tools out of his trunk either. This was a company I got off of the Bryant website as one of their dealers. read more

Our AC went out yesterday and I called for someone to come out. The tech told us our compressor and fan motor were fried and it would cost 4K to replace but that would just be a band aid. So a company rep would be out to give an estimate on replacing the whole system. In the meantime I called someone else recommended to us and he came this morning. The problem was the capacitor needed replacing. 158.00 later the system is up and running and the house is ice cold. We've used Ierna's for years but no more. Bad business practices. read more

All of IERNA's call staff (even during normal business hours) work out of their homes and clearly aren't familiar with your investment(s) AC Units). We paid IN ADVANCE for yearly maintenance contracts on both units and with those contracts your informed no call out fee AND work will be completed in 24hours. That is a blatant lie and they do not uphold their maintenance agreements. It's a complete SCAM and waste of your hard earned money. Please seek a company worthy of your money and your time! There was a problem with my A/C tech came out diagnose what he thought was the problem replace the part and Paid $500.00 .2days later the problem continued, came out diagnosed the right problem told me the cost to fix this issue was $1,200.00 told I couldn't fix it next day the Office called and told me that they would fix it at no charge so yes I recommend this company to people the take care off there customers read more

Absolutely do not recommend this company. So we have two AC units, a 2 ton and a 5 ton. The 2 ton is located in the garage but actually controls the upstairs, which is a single room. The 5 ton controls the rest of the house. I scheduled a service for both units right before we put our house on the market. We ended up replacing the 2 ton after the service because it was very old and had a leak in the evaporator coil, but the technician said the 5 ton was fine. After we went under contract and had the inspection, the inspectors claimed there was a "stuttering noise" coming from the air handler located upstairs (aka the 5 ton). I had Ierna's come out to assess. They ended up claiming there were a bunch of problems, such as the bypass damper not working (which was most likely the cause of the stuttering) and zone issues. They of course recommended replacement, which we did not want to do. Plus, the system is still technically functioning and cooling the home. We asked for quotes for the non-replacement options. One day technicians were here doing some other work, and I was talking to them about the problems with the 5 ton unit. I mentioned that none of this had come up during the servicing, and the technician said that usually for regular servicing they do not look at the issues that came up in the post-inspection assessment. However, when the first technician came for the servicing, I told him I was getting it done in preparation for a future inspection since our house was going up for sale. So he knew it was going to happen. Not only that, but every single time Ierna's has sent people out, it's been a different guy every time. So there's zero consistency. They even had a mistake on one of their invoices, saying there was a leak in the evaporator coil of the "upstairs" unit (meaning the 5 ton) which was not true. This was actually about the 2 ton unit we got replaced, but the technician who was here that day kept confusing the two. However, they wouldn't remove that sentence, and instead just issued a new invoice trying to explain that there was a misunderstanding, which honestly just makes it more confusing because you have to look at a new document every time. Since the 4 point had failed, the buyers needed a statement saying that the AC was not in failure, because otherwise the inspector would not change his results, which affects their ability to obtain insurance and proceed with their financing. I called Ierna's and talked to Zach, who agreed to issue a statement after hearing the situation. However, shortly after we hung up, he sent me an email completely going back on his word. So I of course called him back. He told me his manager Josh was going to call me back to discuss, which he did. I was very angry during our call, saying that they had gone back on their word, that they were the ones who didn't find these issues during the servicing in the first place, that we were trying to just pass the 4 point inspection, etc. He kept talking about how they can't legally say everything is okay without mentioning the issues. In the end he said he would issue the statement, which he did, but literally all he did was add the following sentence to the invoice that included all of the issues with the 5 ton unit: "The system we evaluated was working at the time of arrival, however, these were our findings below". I sent this over to our realtor, skeptical that it would be good enough. She called me back and confirmed that she could not send that to the inspector. Eventually we ended up just getting a second 4 point inspection done which was fine. Ironically, Ierna's is the one who installed the original units in our home. And one tech even said "Oh so the builders f***ed up" when we explained how the units were arranged, when clearly it was not the builders but Ierna's who chose to install them in those locations. But the fact that they failed to detect the issues in the first place, made mistakes repeatedly, lied, were incredibly inconsistent, and almost delayed the sale of our home will make me never use them again. read more

Had a new super upgrade system installed 3 weeks ago. BIG $$$. Fancy new thermostat too that I could track my system on my phone while away. All the parts did not come with installation, including the once a year filter component. Also my protective net was not re-installed, but taken away. All this was on the original work order. I told the installer none could be completed the following week, as I had a dying parent in RI & needed to make the trip. So I needed to wait nearly 3 weeks for job completion. In the meantime, my checks were cashed, though work was not done, and my phone stopped showing a working system 4 days before I returned home. I opened the door to find a HOT house!! Thousands of $$ for a new complete system & I can't count on it to work when I leave for 2 weeks! My call when I returned last night said "No help until my already scheduled appointment in 4 days!" (How long before mold starts attacking a house? How do 80+ years olds cope in this heat?) Customer for 12+ years. I made a big mistake trusting this company. Should have researched before automatically getting another system from Ierna. Intend to inform all my neighbors with Ierna who will be soon looking for new systems to start doing their research now! read more

Jose Perez was technician, and he was absolutely horrible, he didn't do half of what I have to pay for. He looked at my compressors explained to me that I needed two capacitors, when I told him the price was really high and I want to get a second opinion all of a sudden the price magically got lower. after he installed the capacitors, he didn't check the air handlers and when I asked him about that he lied and said he did. How I know he didn't check the air handlers because one of them inside my house where I have been the entire time. And make matters worse. I signed up for service plan with this company. I canceled the service plan and when Jose heard me doing that, he decided to leave. So never ever ever. read more

Ive used Ierna's now for a few years. Im itching to just drop the lone star on my recent experience with Ierna's, but the fact is, you don't get to choose your technician. Ive had some good ones and you get some bad ones, this one happened to be the latter. When you are charged $110 for a technician to come out and then want charge a $225 fee for an air capacitor that you can buy online for $15 or less (feel free to fact check), at this price point, I have to be sold on the idea. Long story short, I ended up paying the service fee (more like a get off my property fee). Once you get past a certain price point, my technician must fulfill every box on my checklist. At the very top of that list is service and confidence. If you cant check those two, you will never get my business. Thus is the case here. No people skills, no willingness or desire to assist, make a suggestion or provide feedback. All I got was the monthly service membership talk. I was turned off at that moment. To sum it all up, I wont be using Ierna's in the future. The service fee didn't buy me a basic ac inspection or a thank you. This was a one star experience but in fairness to past technicians that were half way decent, I'll give it a two star rating. In calling a few ac companies after the poor experience with Ierna's, I learned that the service fee was not only lower but even lower on weekdays. That was nice of them to share, that feedback helped me make a better financial decision, if the same price structure applies to Ierna's I will never know because they never told me. This is a very shady company. We had issues stemming from sales not matching what happened during install. The installation team was a mess and took way longer. From there we had repeat issues stemming over a year and the company was not able to resolve even after sending out quality and management teams. We ended up with water damage from the last issue and was told the unit was installed incorrectly and wired wrong... This is after the company sent quality inspectors. Even theou BBB mediation the company would only offer to do work themselves, l no reimbursement for water damage, and more maintenance warranty which just means we are stuck with more repairs vs quality work from a company that could not fix a unit for over a year even with management involved. We would advise avoiding this company for sure. read more

1 Star only because we cannot give them -100 Stars. Ripoff Company. We told them over the phone the exact issue we had with our water pipes under our trailer. We even had pictures to share. PVC type water pipe broke. We just needed it repaired. IERNA rep comes out, barely looks at it, says $12,000 to redo the entire water piping under our trailer. Are you kidding me I asked. He said he wasn't authorized on this late Friday afternoon to do that kind of repair. I asked him then send out someone that is. He said there was nothing he could do this late in the day (We called them in the early am) and said our bill is $100 for him showing up and telling us he wasn't authorized to do that type of repair. I asked him how he was authorized to quote $12,000 to totally replace all our water pipes? No answer. Rip Off. On Monday we found another company that fixed the issue for $200. They showed up 2 hours later than the window they gave. I just spent 16K on 2 new air conditioners with them 2 years ago. The girl they sent out had no clue what was wrong with my AC. She pretended it was a clogged line and blew air through the line and claimed it was fixed. The moron they sent charged me $240 for nothing. About 2 hours later the house was still 79 degrees. I called back at 6pm and they said they couldn't have anybody out until 4pm-8pm the following day. I called another AC company and they showed up at 8am the next morning. They dug a hole under the house and completely replaced an entire line they said wasn't functioning properly. I paid $400 for this and it actually fixed the problem. I complained to Ierna and they said they would reimburse me the $240 I was charged for nothing....a couple weeks have gone by and I never got the reimbursement. read more

We decided to call on some local AC companies so we can get a clean and tune up before the super humid hot summer season is truly upon us. We picked Ierna's. They charge 29.95 for the check up and tune up. Initially they said we had issues with our upstairs unit that would prevent him with doing the service but it turned out fine. The guy that came was very professional and explained to us what he was doing. He soon went outside to take care of the outside unit. He was here for about 30 min to 45 min. When we scheduled our appt. they gave us a two hour window. The service guy came towards the end of that window. If you have time constraints or have to go to work at a certain time let them know. Hopefully they will come sooner. read more

stay away from this company. We bought a new unit almost $8000.00 We had a lot of problems. Allthe freon leaked out, due to a faulty part, then wanted to charge us $1500.00 for freon. We told them no as it was their part that failed. They didn't charge us for the freon, but the labor was $800.00. This was last year during July! We couldn't get a technician out for a week! We had to go to Lowe's to buy a window unit so we could sleep for a week. Next, we scheduled a service call inOctober. The technician said the drain was plugged and he couldn't unplug it. He told my husband it woul be $560.00 to make a new drain. My husband fixed it for $8.00 in materials. lastly, yesterday our air wasn't working again. The company sent the technician out today. He said we had a leak from the roofers in the attic. He said he would have to replace all the copper lines and put freon back. He said our freon was out again. They said it would be $2000.00 to repair it. we told them we are through with them! we had someone else come and repair it after they left. It wasn't leaking in the attic. It was leaking from the same place from before. Stay away from this company if you don't want to be nickled and dimed to death! our air is working great now nice and cool, but not from Ierna. read more

The service staff continues to rotate and ever technician explains that we need an additional item in addition to the service repair requested. They must received commission for any of the additional items. The in house staff who initiates the service request is pleasant and through but once the technician arrives the issues begin. "Yes, the broken part is covered under the warranty but not the labor" My October visit: The part was a $30 sensor the bill for labor was over $300.00 plus a diagnostic fee of $89.00. Then in November AC unit went out again.They did waive the $89.00 diagnostic fee but wanted to charge $500 for a blower motor which they would have to order and comeback on another day to repair. They also suggested an internal Electrical surge protector after the last technician told us to put on an outside surge protector. In addition to the surge protector , we were told that a new control board $300,00 and a light to kill mold was highly recommended. I asked the technician to see how many visits to my house from their company. His answer was 43. 43 service visits times since the Bryant Variable speed ac was installed 7 years ago. I contacted Bryant for a second time and they referred me referred a different contractor to do the last repair. When the AC runs correctly it is great but when a product has failed this many times it is either a defective unit or inadequate service. Don't be mislead by a 10 year parts warranty. The company is making their money on diagnostic fees, and additional ad ons. read more

I used this company to perform a preventative maintenance on my relatively new AC system and they damaged it and did not repair it. They charged me $180.00 and now my system does not work correctly even though the system was working correctly before the preventative service - you be the judge. Condescending attitudes and excuses from dispatch and techs and they refused to provide me with owners full name. Website says same day service but they say next tech is not available for another 2 days...I have since read in-depth reviews of this company and see that there is a trend - BEWARE read more

Our AC unit was pretty old. I called Ierna's because they had great reviews and I knew a few guys who worked there. A tech was out the next morning. My motor amperage was double what it was supposed to be and my air handler was in need of replacement. By the time I would pay parts and maintenance it was half the cost of a new unit. The tech showed me the unit he recommended and the price. I went online and couldn't find the unit for the price he quoted. Then it was 5 years no interest! The next day two men showed up and 10 hours later they were finished. They also did some extras that were not in the deal because they wanted it to be their work. First electric bill was 20 percent less. Thanks Ierna's for the great work! read more

Ierna's falsely advertises duct cleaning services on their web site. However, they apparently don't even do duct cleaning. They use this as a lead to come out and see if you need a new air handler. If you don't they recommend you call someone who cleans ducts. What a terrible business practice to waste people's time like that. Scheduled my entire morning around this appointment. When I called I went into detail about exactly what I needed. Duct cleaning. She said the tech would come to give me a quote. Then I waited a few days for the appointment. Tech just left. He was a pleasant person but he didn't open one A/C register. Looked at the air handler and basically said "Sometimes dust in air ducts is due to the need for a new air handler. Doesn't look like that's the case here, we don't clean ducts, I'd recommend you call Stanley Steamer. I don't what their services actually are though." Complete waste of time. read more

Felix H. Came today in time at the top of the estimated time of arrival. He wore shoe covers which is very important to me. He was respectful, relatable, informative, friendly, courteous, efficient and knowledgeable. I have been using iernas for years. I finally got a light installed inside my unit for the unit but the last guy made it seem like that was for the whole house. Today Felix informed me that it was a light only for the inside of the ac. I have been sneezing a lot lately and thought that the bulb was out. I did need a new bulb but when he explained that there was a secondary light that cleaned the air in the ducts of allergens, molds mildews, and other pathogens I was sold. He made sure I got taken care of today even though my appointment was only for a routine check up tune up. He was awesome and I recommend using this company. read more

Technician was over thirty min early and we had to rush to the house. When he came in, our 3year old system was acting strange and would not cool, but instead blew heat. The tech looked at the components, and then went to the thermostat and reprogrammed it. He then turned to me and said that reprogramming will be $90... after he did the work. I told him that was shady and he said he will "get me a discount". He went back to his gear at the compressors and said that one was almost out of coolant and must be refilled or it will freeze. He said it would be $55/lb and he had no idea how much fits into an empty coil. I asked him to leave, and he charged me $65 for the call (as agreed) but also $75 for the reprogram, which wasn't authorized. Overall, very poor experience and we will not call Ierna's again. read more
