The previous staff were rude and just a bunch of gossipers who are oblivious to their surrounding and do not care at all about their patients. I used to wait 2-3 hours to get seen by Dr. Nguyen. Now I get seen by my new oncologist, Dr. Janoski, within 10 minutes of arriving. He is knowledgeable and thorough, discussed all my options and involved me and my family in the decision making. It is so refreshing to go to a medical office with a competent and caring team, who really care about their patients well-being. I also love the new office decor! It's nice and bright, very welcoming!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AT Raul NAIK'S ONCOLOGY OFFICE ON BRIMHALL RD IN BAKERSFIELD…read more We have now had a total of 6 appointments where we arrived at the appropriate time and completed the requested bloodwork, only to be told at the appointment that they never received the lab results. This has been an ongoing issue since January -- nearly 9 months of the same problem. The bloodwork has been done through multiple locations, including LabCorp, Quest, and our primary care physician's office, yet we continue to be told that the results were never received. At this point, this is more than an inconvenience. When someone is being seen by an oncology office, timely access to their medical records and laboratory results is extremely important. Patients should not have to repeatedly complete bloodwork and attend appointments only to find out that the office does not have the results. I am an ER nurse here in Bakersfield, and I understand how important communication, organization, and continuity of care are in healthcare. What we have experienced with this office has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. Six appointments. Multiple blood-draw locations. Months of trying to get the same issue resolved. And we are still dealing with it. Patients deserve better communication and better coordination of their care.

My wife was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer and Dr. Foulad was so kind when he explained it to us. He had tissues for my wife, gave her a moment to process everything, answered all of my many many questions and left us walking out feeling like things were going to be alright. They got her started on treatment shortly after the diagnosis. We went through a meeting with the RN Susanna Bell who's a life saver to say the least. She explained everything we could expect during chemo and how to try to make it as easy as possible. Dr. Patel was amazing as well. He went over everything with us and met regularly to keep us informed on how things were going. She got through chemo thanks to the wonderful staff and Dr. Foulad even came to my wife's surgery at Cedar Sinai as he has operating rights there so he was in the OR with her surgeon assisting and giving her peace of mind that her original doctor was there. While the journey isn't over yet, the worst of it is over and it's been bearable thanks to the wonderful people at CBCC.

Go out of town or go to AIS or anywhere but here. I would have been at stage 0 or 1 if my Doctor cared enough to listen to me or order a CT or biopsy when I had a small nodule. Unfortunately I waited until my symptoms were worse and asked for a second opinion a few months later by then the nodule became a large mass . A month after had metastasized to lymph nodes and by then I was beyond pissed because now it can no longer be treated by surgery or radiation and bumped me to stage 3. I decide to get a second opinion on the cancer and go to an actual NCI out of town and they look at the last PET scan and they said so CBCC missed another lesion so another metastasis!!! Now making me a stage 4a. If you care about your health or your family member, please find better care. The worst Doctor here is Ravi Patel because he is unprofessional, negligent, pompous, arrogant, dismissive, and incompetent. Hopefully he will retire once this merger is complete and stop hurting patients and their families.

After finding out my wife had cancer, we were certain we'd end up at CBCC in Bakersfield. However,…read moreour insurance directed my wife to Dr. Nguyen's office for treatment. Our interaction with Dr. Nguyen led us to believe that he genuinely cares about his patients. The office is much smaller than CBCC which allows for his staff to create a rapport with the patients. Karen and Jill at the reception desk helped with all of our paperwork for FMLA. Our nurses were incredibly nice. Tom dealt with us the most. He makes everyone feel at home there and he's funny...which you need when you're going through something so terrible. Sarah was also really nice and attentive. I wish I could provide some positive feedback on the other nurses but I don't know their names. During treatment my wife used cold caps to keep her hair. Dr. Nguyen was able to accommodate her by providing additional room allowing access the cooler without bothering other patients. The reason I write these reviews is so people who are currently going through what we have can get a third party's perspective before committing to a specific doctor or method of treatment. If you're reading this to determine if you're going to receive adequate medical care under the direction of Dr. Nguyen, rest assured that he and his staff will learn your name, become familiar with your case, and provide really good care during this unfortunate time in your life. Good luck on your journey and stay positive!

He never made me feel like I was being rushed or like my thoughts and pains didn't matter. When a doctor gives you his personal phone number when you are going through treatment and said call him if you have any serious side effects from treatment. I knew then he was the right doctor for me. Even though I never called him there was comfort in knowing I can. He continues to follow me and so far I have been cancer free since 2017. I have seen how other cancer centers work, when you call and don't get a call back right away or soon there after, that can be very stress full for a patient undergoing treatment for cancer. For example My dad was diagnosed with oral cancer in 2017 and was seen by a different oncologist in town. He got so sick and when we called their office it was hard to get the doctor or anyone to call you back. We thought he is not going to make it, he was declining fast. Then during a follow up visit, when a doctor makes a certain comment. We knew then it was time to switch doctors. We switched him to Dr. Nguyen and he came up with a plan. He even called after hours and on weekends if anything was abnormal. My dad is doing so good now. Grated we all know once you have gone through chemo and/or radiation, you have a new normal but life is good. We love all the staff, they are great. I just can't say enough about Dr. Nguyen, he is a great oncologist.
