When I heard that this place had a vegetarian/vegan broth Pho, I had to come try it. Our normal place is a 20 minute drive away and this one is just 2 miles. We were pleasantly surprised at the flavorful broth with abundant vegetables and tofu chunks. They also are generous with the vermicelli noodles. The condiment bar is definitely a perk because you can load up on your favorite toppings. No frills, but clean, restaurant setting and very friendly owner. I ordered a to go from here a few weeks ago. Overall, the experience was ok. I liked the food for the most part and the cashier from the restaurant was really friendly and helpful. One reason why I'm giving this place a 3 is because of the fish sauce concoction. It just didn't have a good and balanced taste! Actually, It tasted really off!! I ordered a rice plate with Korean bbq, and most Vietnamese rice plates, including the Korean bbq, are served with some kind of sauce made from fish sauce, sugar, lemon juice and whatever else. The sauce, IMO, is such an important component of the dish that if it's off, the whole dish can be ruined. In my case, that's what happened. It's so sad because the meat had such great flavor but the sauce was so strange! If they can just fix the sauce! read more

I don't know what trash taste like, but if trash were a taste, it would taste just like that!! I ordered the shrimp pho and It smelled like trash in my vehicle. The shrimp was gummy and one of the tails had black on the inside. The mint leaves that comes in the bag had black on them too and the broth had no flavor! I took three bites and threw it in the garbage disposal. I'm so upset that I wasted almost $20 on this trash as I sit here upset because now I have to once again spend more money on food and getting into my car! I should've just went somewhere else like I planned, but I figured since the place was only 5 minutes and reading the reviews that it would taste good!!! Please do not torture yourself!!! Went to this place tonight with a mindset of not really knowing what to expect. to be honest, I lied, I did have a mind set. I thought I knew that anything around tcu that pops up will need to prove itself if it wanted to set it roots by it. I knew that this place was here only for couple of months (3-4 at best) and then shut down. But after tonight, I can truly say that this pho restaurant will be making its footprint permanent right next to tcu's. the food is unbelievably fresh, tasty, and the quantity they provide will last me the dinner for a while and I probably will use it for tomorrow's lunch and dinner. They usually bring you the pho and broth with meat/shrimp/veg you have ordered. then you get to put whatever you want from the vegetable bar into your broth and there is no limit. I usually dont give a shit about writing reviews but I had to for this restaurant. It really is something you should try. Vegetarians: they gave menu for complete vegetarian pho including the use of vegetable broth instead of chicken for the soup. they are very conscious about you needs and will accommodate you no matter what your preferences might be. They even give you tiny sauce containers in case if you want to take any of their specialty sauce to go! this place deserves to be respected as I have come across place like this very rarely. read more

Prices are significantly higher than other Vietnamese restaurants that aren't all that far (Haltom City) with much better food. My food wasn't necessarily bad, but it certainly didn't warrant a second visit. Pho broth was "flat"/one dimensional and the portions were small. Would pass for decent in a small town in South Dakota, but with so many better and cheaper options 10-15 minutes away, there is no reason to frequent this place. I've tried this restaurant twice and both times it wasn't good. The pho has almost no flavor compared to actual pho and the banh mi sandwiches are literally just lunch meat on bread with mayonnaise. It is kind of a self serve restaurant where you go to the counter and order and they bring to your table. It is very close to TCU and convenient for the kids. I came to this place because it has 4 stars. I was super hungry so I ordered special beef pho & Szechuan beef. I was so excited when they brought out the food. Their large bowl is pretty big. Almost like an XL compared to most places. But let me tell you, it was absolutely disgusting! Yes, the pho itself "look" amazing but taste nothing like it. The broth didn't even taste like pho broth. You can taste heavy amount of salt. Literally, just bunch of salt and water! They didn't even use any kind of spices or pho flavor soup base. And don't get me started on the meat balls! I have never had any meat balls that tasted like cha lua, which is a type of pork sausage. That's just...bizarre. Also, the Szechuan beef tasted like a low quality stir fried stuff you had at one of those bad buffet. If I were you I would avoid this place, especially, if you are Asian. I've had pho almost everywhere in Fort Worth, this place is the worst out of all. Definitely not worth the money! read more
