They could just as easily just fill my orders and not bother looking at alternatives to lower my out of pocket expenses which I really appreciate. They have transformed the front side (on Silver Spring) to add a small soda fountain/counter area called Fitzy's. I have not had prescriptions filled here and have only stopped by a handful of times to drop off unused medications (they have a drop-off bin inside). The layout is a little different compared to the former pharmacy, but the ambiance feels welcoming and it's nice that Fitzy's also has tables outside (weather-permitting).

Alas, a friend of mine came to my rescue as did one of my colleagues and mentioned Metro Market. I had seen it on my trek to Brookfield Square, so I decided to go. Besides having to drive a ways to get to it, I do really love the store. There are so many options and I just love the deli/bakery/cheese area... just so much to look at and sample. This store is a lifesaver, however, the reason I docked it a star was the less than friendly service... in fact I would say snippy reaction I got from a one of the staff. I opted for the self-checkout line... no I'm not one of those people who doesn't understand how the whole thing works, no I'm not one of those people who talks to the machine thinking that it can hear me... I know how it works and I think it works very efficiently when I have a small amount of groceries. One night I had bought a pack of nail files among my other items. I scanned it through and put it in the bag. Because it was so light, the computer did not register me putting the nail files in the bag, so the whole process stopped. I looked around for a staff member and when he was finished chatting about his weekend with another staff member he made his way over and told me quite rudely that I needed to scan the item and put it in the bag before I could scan the next item. I simply said, "I know, but that's not the problem" and proceeded to tell him that the nail files were too light. He rolled his eyes and did whatever it is they do to the computer and walked away. I haven't been back since, I found the new Pick 'n' Save in Waukesha just as nice and with friendlier staff.
