Painted iron gates...no true prep work just a bunch of guys with foam rollers going around in the heat of summer last year. Sloppy.

Would never recommend this company! They were hired by our HOA to replace the roofs in our community. From the workers themselves to the project manager they lack professionalism & respect for the tenant's property. My new AC unit (installed in 2022) was covered the 1st day with a tarp & they proceeded to dump half of the roofing materials on top of it & around the mechanical components to the unit, to the 2nd day not covering it at all but going with the prior procedure from the day before, they only stopped when I called them out on it. Spoke with the project manager on the phone, wanting him to come out & inspect what his workers were doing (failed to show up on that day) only to have him call me back & text me harassing messages. He showed up the next day & accused me of trying to "bilk $2,500.00 out of his workers the day before" which truly was a laughable moment because the cost of the AC when I had it installed was 5 grand & to top it off his workers didn't speak English. They have done a couple painting projects for the condo I manage. Both experiences were great. Their proposals come with clearly labeled pictures- helpful during Board meetings. Their Supervisor Jason walked through the project at the beginning to be clear of the project scope. He brought me out to see some issues that came up during the project. The lead technician, Rodrigo walked me through the project at the end showing me before and after pictures. Then together we labeled the leftover paint for future touch ups. Love these guys! We recently bought a building and wanted to do some remodeling/changing of some of the office space to suit our needs. Called Inside-Out as I had met Sheila at various events and home shows. They promptly came out and took a look at our project. I told them our needs and what we were looking at doing. We were able to come up with a plan to convert the open floor plan of the office into separate offices and a conference room. While my imagination gets us half-way there, they were able to take that and make it a reality. Work was completed on-time with few hiccups. Nothing's every perfect is it?? Upside is any "hiccup" was addressed right away and did not impact the overall project timeline. We are very happy with the final result and the process throughout. They are currently working on our condo building. We find them lacking In good judgment and their work is very mediocre They seem to not Speak English and almost demolished the tree in front of our kitchen window with a large construction crane. This is the 3rd year that they returned to finish the work. They don't clean up and they came Monday to begin and did nothing There is a large piece of equipment in the front of our area and there it stays for two days and nothing accomplished I find them lacking in knowledge as to what they should do next. When they were here last summer, they seemed to do nothing and I do mean nothing. They took a lot of breaks and accomplished Nothing. We are paying big bucks for work that I feel will not stack up to quality. Do not use them because I guarantee you will not be satisfied. read more

I was on the board of a very large association in Naperville and have been working with Inside Out for years. They have always done an amazing job and kept prices fair and reasonable. Recently they completed a very large project of replacing all of the siding and all of the roofing on all 101 buildings in our community and we couldn't be happier. We've also used them many times for both interior and exterior painting and wood replacement. I would highly recommend Inside Out for any of their services no matter how big or small. read more

We come from the commercial construction industry and had the opportunity to work with Inside-OUT on a personal project in our home. Unfortunately the unit owner above did not change a hva/c filter and as a result our ceiling below was affected (YIKES Water Damage). Inside-OUT was there within the week to repair. Our technician was personable and PROFESSIONAL. He tag teamed our ceiling patch with another tradesman and the patch was completed that day. SO IMPRESSED they used dust protection and were very conscientious about protecting our home. What was more gratifying was the patch was installed and you could not even notice a change. Inside-Out is the roofing contractor for my townhome association. We recently had Eric out to check some areas of our roof to make sure there was no water damage as we have our townhome up for sale. He did such a thorough job and spent time checking all over the house. He was so friendly and even my two dogs liked him! I always get nervous having work done at my house but I was really put as ease with Eric's work and easy going personality. The few areas that needed touch up work were done in less than an hour! I reside in the townhomes in the Villas of Cambridge in Streamwood, IL. I was advised by our H. O. A., that it was Inside Out Construction that was contracted to do roofing work on our units. I have no complaint about the work done on the roofs, but they completely trashed my deck! Not only once, but on three separate occasions their crews ransacked my property. Prior to their arrival, by deck furniture was arranged neatly and out of the way. Most had been covered and winterized for the upcoming season. My furniture was thrown all over my deck, and in some cases destroyed! Items that were covered for winter, had the covers removed, ripped, and punctured. I contacted them via email, and never heard anything from them. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and was advised that they failed to respond to them as well. I would never recommend this company because they have no regard or respect for your personal property. If you're doubting this, I have photographs to prove the damage they caused. Unbelievable! I manage a 600 unit apartment community with 31 buildings in Lisle, IL. I was referred to this company from our preferred paint supplier and I have been in awe ever since meeting with them. They promised a smooth project, but delivered far more than I imagined. Inside Out provided daily notices to my 600 plus residents, created a daily activity log that on-site management as well as our corporate team could review. They guaranteed a six-week project, but delivered in under five. Vicky, our project manager, was always accessible and happy to walk us through any and all obstacles. This company has a rain shelter! Yes, to my fellow apartment industry peeps, these guys paint grates and any other removable pieces in a trailer...work does not slow down when weather gets questionable. read more

Numerous damages noted after Inside Out finished their job, which was brought to their attention through HOA. What they have done on the exterior of the property caused ripple effects on the interior: warped ceiling, nail pops, peeled paint, holes on the window and patio screens which were eventually sent out for replacement but two were incorrect. All these issues unfortunately left us (new homeowners, and our neighbors as well) with some things to fix because they didn't do a good job. Our home inspector even had to come back because these issues were not there before we bought the house. The sad thing is that we'll eventually have to take care of the damages before selling the property in the future. read more

Inside-out is currently completing a roofing project in our condominium association. They were chosen for this project by our HOA. Because of weather, the date of completion has been pushed back. Understandable. I get it, I really do. What pisses me off is that the workers have stored one of their huge trailers partially in front of our garage. Because of where they have decided to keep it, my husband and I cannot use our garage. It is our property, we should be able to access it in the evening when the work for the day is done. The trailer has now been there for over 1 week. Attempts at asking the workers to move it over TEN FEET have been ignored. They say they will happily move it out of our way and then they never do. Work on our roof was supposed to be completed last week. Then I was assured the work would be completed 2 days ago and the trailer would be gone. It is not. At the very least, that trailer should have been moved over the weekend when work was put on hold. And I'm guessing the trailer will still be there this weekend, which will be 2 weeks since it was put there. I am also irritated at the complete lack of respect for the neighborhood displayed by the workers. Garbage is left all over the place. Both construction related, and personal soda cans/food items. The streets are filled with plastic and there are shingles everywhere, getting blown farther and farther away. Many of the residents of the neighborhood, myself included, have taken it upon themselves to pick up trash while they are out walking their dogs. This is completely unacceptable. A porta-potty has also been brought into the neighbor, as they are with most construction jobs. They chose to place the unit in a parking spot in one of the lots. Rendering that spot completely useless. When parking spots are already coveted, does it make sense to use one as storage for a PORTA POTTY?! Why couldn't that thing be placed on the grass or of to the side of the lot? read more

The roof of our condo leaked and left a large amount of water damage in our bedroom ceiling. Our condo association sent Inside-Out to repair the ceiling. The gentleman from Inside-Out was friendly, knowledgeable, hard working, and affectionate to my nosey cats. He not only replaced the drywall, but removed the moldy installation and treated the area with mold inhibiting stuff. We had this same issue happen 3 years ago. Inside-Out did a much better job than the last contractor. We can barely see where the repair was made. We highly recommend Inside-Out. read more

Poor quality and lack of workmanship combined with the "Rush" mentality they have not only produces bad work but they actually do damage to the building. Pay the extra money to have your project done in the first place by qualified professionals. Plus their vulgar language around children is just offensive. read more

Inside-Out is my condo properties "Do it All" company and they do everything sub-par, rushed or just down right wrong. They paint doors with 9 in rollers leaving stipple on the doors. They painted all of our exterior door hinges shut. These are stainless steal hinges that are not to be painted and are supposed to be oiled periodically. Now they are doing siding at our complex and they don't know what they are doing. They are putting up Tyvek with regular metal staples, hundreds of them causing holes in the moisture barrier and not taping over them. They could just use capped nails like Tyvek not only recommends, but this usually voids the lifetime warranty from the manufacturer of the vinyl siding if you use regular staples. They are currently doing all siding in our 200 unit complex, but refuse to replace the 3 rows of aluminum siding I have in my deck area that is 22 years old. So I will have two different shades of siding when done, mostly brand new vinyl siding, with 3 rows of old dis-colored aluminum siding, great for resale value. When they stained our deck I watched the guy doing it spray himself into a corner then walk across the deck he just spayed, leaving foot prints. When he got on the ladder to get down from the deck, he put him black hand print on the freshly painted, white, wood of the posts holding up the deck. I seems a common theme that once they are in with an HOA, they is not much you can say or do. Litigation may be the only route with these guys. read more

It looks like I'm the third complaint this summer dealing with this company in an HOA. They have been "working" (not really) on our building since JULY!! (it's October) If they show up I never see them working, I only see them sitting in a truck, or standing around most of the time. They have a reason to delay the job every week. They start something, and never finish it. Nobody that I've seen has been the same person except the guy sitting in the black truck. Watching them try to maneuver the lift is extremely scary and dangerous. When they leave for the weekend, OR the entire week, they leave ladders standing against the building, or on top of bushes, they leave buckets of sharp edge pieces of wood, garbage laying around. They have damaged (crushed) our sidewalk, they have ruined grass areas, and then spent an entire day to repair the area, with no other work getting done, torn screens on windows. We've complained, we've had new project managers. Due to all of the delays, we are now having to push the work that needs to be done to the Spring time, I only hope that we bring a new company in to do the work. read more

I have to say, I normally don't like roofing/construction companies, but Miguel Aguilar, a team supervisor for Inside Out Const. is way above my old expectations. I'm one of 35 townhome owners that had new roofs and skylights installed, Miguel called my cell to let me know my garage door was left open, made sure his guys worked around my schedule, not his, and fully understood I like to have someone present while they are inside my home, and worked around that knowing I'm a freak about my privacy. He went to the warehouse on his lunch hour to get the power shades (that I ordered late) to make sure they are installed on time. Very impressed by the actions of this one employee. Great guy. This is the worst company ever, trust me. The association I live in spent over 2 million dollars to have siding installed, they did a horrible job. They cut through our windowsill with a Sawzall in the Master bedroom, nailed through the windowsill, caused tile to break and falloff in two bathrooms. I complained at a HOA meeting and two factory representatives came out to say the job was correct. We hired an independent inspector who confirmed the work was incorrect but our board does not have the spine to stand up so basically, we are screwed. Hire these guys and good luck! Also when the siding was installed it was claimed that (this is a cut and paste from their site) "In addition, it prevented the community from having to ever worry about insects and rodents, deteriorating the exterior of their community. The foam that the siding is built with has a bug repellent that resists insects, bees, carpenter ants, termites, rodents, etc. from creating any kind of nests behind the siding." I call Bull SH*T, currently my neighbor can barely get in his home and his mother is there receiving Hospice care, there is a Hugh Bee infestation under his siding. Also when siding is installed it should be nailed loosely, these installers (if you want to call them that) nailed directly through the siding at some points and toenailed it in when they happened to hit a nail slot. I hired I-O for some drywall repair and painting to my new condo and couldn't be happier. I was able to get someone out for a quote quickly and scheduled the job within a week. The quality of work was excellent and the tech, Joaquin, was top-notch. He proved communicative, attentive, and professional, with a customer-service-focused attitude. I'm really happy with everything he was able to accomplish in the time frame too! Drywall repair can be an art and his work blended perfectly. He offered to stay a bit later yesterday to eliminate a second trip today (that helped me immensely; I didn't have to take another day off work). His attention to detail is noticeable both in his work and meticulous cleanup. A+ read more

The poor rating is due to lack of follow-up. Inside Out was hired to paint trim, balconies and outside areas of our development. Some of the painting looked pretty good and other areas were painted over very badly worn and chipped uneven surfaces which are now freshly painted but with pieces sticking up which is not what I was expecting. Having done much painting myself I would never paint a surface that way. Aside from the results the main concern is that they never finished all of the work and despite many attempts to contact them no one will do anything. Both myself and other residents had workers show up when there were no appointments made, then didn't show up when there were. As a result some work never got done or corrected when brought to their attention. Despite calling multiple times and leaving messages on manager voice mails and details with office staff over the last three months no one will follow up. It doesn't matter who you ask to speak to and speak directly to about painting there is no concern on their end. I guess once paid it doesn't matter. Just make sure you inspect the work, and make sure everything is done before you write the check. read more
