When he arrived, he suddenly claimed the job was "much bigger" than he thought and raised the price to $800, saying he originally believed it was only a 30‑minute job -- even though his quote already said 1.5-2 hours. He was polite and smooth about it, and said I didn't have to go through with the repair, but realistically, once someone has driven to your home, you feel stuck. I agreed, and the final repair was good. No issues with the workmanship. My issue is the honesty. The story changed multiple times, and the price jumped significantly despite him having photos beforehand. The work quality is solid, but the experience felt manipulative. There was so much damage done and we were finally able to get it covered by them. Out of all the shops in the area my hubby chose this one due to their really high recommendation from our friends. We decided to give them a try and call them up for a quote for replacing some parts and doing a paint job on our car to fix some chips it had. I honestly didn't think it would look uniform, after all, there are so many shades of red out there. We were really worried about getting some crazy missmatchy stuff. We dropped the car off on a Monday and by Friday it was ready. We were a little nervous to go see it and to our surprise, the paint job was IMMACULATE. Very professional, communicative and precise. Usually guys are picky with their cars but in my case, I'm probably the pickiest one with ours LOL! I did NOT think they'd be able to pull this off and give us a squeaky clean almost brand new looking car back. We do already take care of our car but they made it look even more fabulous. Justin was very great at his customer service skills and we really appreciate everything you all did for us! We will definitely continue to recommend Stan's to anyone that needs it! (This is also coming from a mechanic himself, my hubby) so it means a lot! Thank you for letting us trust you and for taking in our precious baby and treating it with care.
