Dan and I met via Zoom which made me feel comfortable during the pandemic. I found that I was still able to relax and reach a hypnotic state, especially being in the comfort of my own home. I have been losing weight since we started our sessions, but more importantly, I have lost any symptoms of depression and almost all of my anxiety. In the past weeks, I feel like I have woken up from a years-long slumber. I've been more upbeat and productive, while spending less time overthinking. It was truly life-changing. In the first session, Dan gave some background about what to expect over the course of treatment. I was given some pre-work, including reading some chapters of Dan's book. I couldn't put it down and read the whole thing! Dan also provided "homework" recordings and taught me strategies to use daily, in between our sessions. Dan is a great listener and relator. He took the time to get to know me and understand where I've been and where I want to go. Throughout the sessions, Dan peppered in comments about his own experiences, which made me feel he was a true ally.
