Aventura Mall will always have a special place in my heart…read more Growing up in Miami Beach we often would take the S bus down to Aventura and just hang out. Back then, the S Bus would drop you off at the entrance of the food court and the mall was just 2 floors but look at Aventura Mall now! Completely unrecognizable to the Mall I remember as a teen. Especially since it seems like the average stores I remember are gone and it's all Prada, Gucci, and luxe stores now, but I'm not gonna knock it too much as I took full advantage and stocked up on my Nespresso pods while I was here. At least they still have JC Penny's. I was able to find a Miami Hurricanes shirt to bring back to my dad as a gift. They also have a Joe and the Juice store which I always stop by when I'm here and get a green tonic from them. I have to admit; I like how they revamped the food court so that its modern and has a wide variety of options. They even have a ramen kiosk! We also stopped by the new Eataly store, how can you not right? We didn't eat anything there, but I took advantage and bought some items they had priced on sale. In all honesty, I could see myself coming to Aventura often if I still lived in South Florida. I've always it made it a point to come here when I do visit and will probably continue to do so in the future.

From the moment you arrive, everything about this place feels elevated. The scale alone is impressive--it's not just a mall, it's an experience. You'll find an incredible lineup of designer and luxury boutiques, alongside popular brands, making it easy to go from high-end splurging to everyday shopping all in one visit. Whether you're browsing or on a mission, the selection here is unmatched in South Florida. What truly sets Aventura Mall apart is the variety. The store mix is perfectly curated--fashion, beauty, home, accessories--you name it, it's here. And it's not just about shopping. The dining scene is just as strong, with a wide range of restaurants and cafés that make it easy to turn a quick trip into a full day out. From casual bites to more upscale dining, everything feels thoughtfully selected and consistently high quality. Parking--something that can make or break a shopping experience--is refreshingly easy here. There are multiple garages and plenty of spaces, which is a huge plus, especially for a destination this popular. You never feel like you're fighting just to get in the door. The entire mall is beautifully designed, clean, and well-maintained, with a modern, open feel that makes walking around enjoyable. There's also an upscale, energetic vibe that makes every visit feel a little special--whether you're shopping, dining, or simply strolling. This is, without a doubt, my go-to mall in South Florida. I absolutely love coming here--it never disappoints. If you're looking for variety, luxury, convenience, and a polished shopping experience all in one place, Aventura Mall delivers every single time.

The mall is close to a Sole Mia, a future mixed use development with residential housing, a hotel, and a university campus. Publix, ULTA, and Petco are the anchor stores at Biscayne Commons. Retail stores include Bath and Body Works, Jetset Miami, and Keo Eyewear. You can dine at TGI Friday's, Oishi Thai, 1000 Degrees Pizza, and La Birra Bar. My friend and I came to the shopping plaza for the pop up shop Max'd Out Donuts by Miami's donut king, Max Santiago. Santiago is known for his time at the Salty Donut where he created the famous brioche dough and for opening Batch, the Cookie company in Ft. Lauderdale. He has consulted on opening donut shops all around the world. Until the permanent store opens in Biscayne Commons, you can follow Max'd Out Donuts on Instagram to order boxes which can be picked up in front of the soon to be opened store. This was my first time visiting this shopping plaza and it seemed upscale and well kept. There is a fountain near where the donut store will be. There is a nice mixture of the kinds of stores people need, along with services, and dining. Parking is easy and plentiful. I'm sure once Max'd Out Donuts opens, I'll be stopping by whenever I am in the area.

It was the home of a huge Morrison's Cafeteria where I remember many lunches with my mom. With the closing of Byrons, and no new anchor store taking over, the space was vacant for a time. Then the bank built itself a freestanding location, the entire mall was purchased by a management company, and the decision was made to turn the property into a strip mall. Some stores remained open during the total renovation/rejuvenation of the building. Most went out of business or moved to new locations. There was a bookstore, but like all those beautiful gems taking the wayside to ebooks, the store went out of business. There used to be a great authentic Italian restaurant, Tony's. They have since moved out to Hollywood beach as a pizza joint and no longer a fancy dinner place. They had a movie theater which had two screens and offered double features. In the very end there were reports of bugs in the popcorn, and the floor was extremely sticky, but where else could you spend less than $6 for almost 4 hours of entertainment. But, alas this was torn down with the rest of the mall. Now, there is a Goodwill and LA Fitness. A new Publix in the center with a few restaurants, TJ Maxx a bank and a jewelry store, Burt's Jewelers. The newest addition to the rejuvenated mall is tge drive-thru Starbucks that took over where Bockbuster used to be.

Terrible and unfair experience at Marshall's - 16800 Collins Ave, Sunny Isles Beach, FL 33160…read more Our car was towed while we were still on the premises of the Marshall's located at 16800 Collins Ave. The vehicle was parked properly, and we were inside the store shopping. We even have the receipt to prove our purchase. Just 10-15 minutes after we walked away from the register, we saw our car being towed -- right in front of us. All of our belongings were left inside the vehicle -- IDs, money, documents, everything. When we tried to contact the towing company, none of the phone numbers worked. Every line was busy or went unanswered, no matter how many times we called. When we came to the towing company (Dolphin Towing & Recovery) we spoke to a person at the office on-site, who said he would not deal with the situation. He refused to show us any camera footage and made it clear that unless we were ready to pay, we had to leave. No proof was ever provided that we had left the property -- because we hadn't. This situation was not only frustrating, it was completely unjust. We were treated with zero respect or consideration. Be very careful if you park here -- even if you are a paying customer, your car might still get towed without warning.

It does lose a star for its confusing wayfinding towards the corporate center, whose entrance is the furthest from the main thoroughfare; why not have 2 lobbies, one that actually faces the public realm instead of the uninviting vehicular parking garage? In addition, some elevators don't stop at every floor and stairwells don't let you access upper floors from the ground floor - for our health and security, upper floors should ALWAYS host a public stairway for vertical access. In addition, while the lobby is lovely, the office areas look harsh and repellent instead of professional and ready to serve clients.
